Iowa State Fair Grandstand Question
2023.06.01 05:34 ru_kittenmerightmeow Iowa State Fair Grandstand Question
I’m going to The Black Keys when they’re at the fair this year. I’ve never been to a concert at the grandstand before and wanted to know, where are the best seats? I want to be somewhat covered in case it rains but I don’t want my view obstructed either. I’ve tried googling seat view images but haven’t had much luck and couldn’t figure it out by looking at the seating chart either. Wondering if someone could provide some insight. Thanks!

2023.06.01 04:55 Laxiken $5 Turbo Online Hand Check
Online Turbo - 8 Handed
Hero in LJ (40bb) with KsKd. V is weak player, a lot of limps and doesn't follow any range charts. V is UTG+1 with with 43bb.
V limps. Hero raises 3BB. BB calls. V calls.
FLOP (10bb): 3h7s3s
BB checks. V leads 2BB. Hero raises to 5BB (dont like my sizing, could have flatted or I think 5.5/6 would be more acceptable). BB calls. V min clicks 3bet to 9bb. Hero and BB call.
TURN (29BB): Td
BB checks. V bets 8BB. Hero and BB calls.
Alarm bells ringing, I think pocket kings are still too strong given the board to fold.
River (60BB): Jc
V lead jams for 23BB. Hero folds.
In theory, given the odds I think we can call here.
Looking back at V's line, V calls 3bet pre, leads flop, then min click 3bets my raise, Leads into two people on turn, then donk jams river. A lot of value hands beat me, tens and jacks make a set, we block kings, aces have us beat. 89 makes a straight. Random two pairs beat us. Were only hoping V shows up with queens. We hold Ks so we block flush draw holdings, realistically given V's line I don't see too many bluffs, especially since its a $5 turbo where players underbluff massively. V could have went out of line with AJ/QJ spades but the min click 3bet on the flop screams value with a 3 that filled up? While I could have folded on the turn I feel like KK with spade blocker is way too strong to fold on flop.

2023.06.01 03:45 Soalai Every Old Tour Performance Ranked (Fearless through Reputation)
Disclaimer: This is an old post. I wrote it in March but it was never approved until now.
In preparation for Eras' opening night, I went back and watched every previous tour in full, either the official DVDs, or other full filmed versions if the DVD was unavailable or incomplete. Then I tried to rank all the performances.
This is not a ranking of the song itself but rather the presentation, staging, originality, etc. Surprise songs from the same tour will all count as one. Would love to know your favorites, and how you think Eras stacks up!
91. Speak Now World Tour – Fearless / Hey, Soul Sister / I'm Yours
The start of this tour's acoustic set, where she sat under a tree, strumming the ukulele. Points for the outfit, but I think this was an inferior arrangement of this particular song.
#. Red Tour – Treacherous
Weird choices were made here. Why was she wearing a tutu and dancing ballet for one of her most serious, adult songs? Why was this the main set closer? I think this would have worked better during the acoustic set, then she could close with Everything Has Changed or something. Still hard to complain about the song itself, though. The fog machines suited it.
89. Fearless Tour – Our Song
Cute, but she mostly just stood in one place and there was some awkward butt shaking in the middle.
88. Fearless Tour – White Horse
Part of the acoustic set. It followed Tim McGraw, but I think two songs that slow wasn't a good pacing choice and this one just doesn't fill an arena the way Tim McGraw does.
87. Red Tour – Stay Stay Stay / Ho Hey
I'm surprised this was part of the set. She did it basically how you'd expect, bopping around, kinda campy. I like how she had a moment goofing around with Amos.
86. Red Tour – Holy Ground
This song is made for a stadium setting, but I really think she should have been playing the guitar during it, or somehow done more. The way it was, it just sounded like noise. The dancers dressed like sirens did liven it up, but were also kinda cartoony.
85. 1989 World Tour – I Wish You Would
Basically the same performance she already did like three times before in the show. The real MVP was that one dancer in the back who did a flip off the chin-up bar.
84. Fearless Tour – Teardrops On My Guitar
I like how they turned the big screens into bookshelves, to continue the imagery of both high school and fairy tales. However, the singing didn't sound great here.
83. Speak Now World Tour – Fifteen
Sounded fuller than the Fearless tour version, but I think the giant princess gown didn't really suit the song. (Some shows also had her performing Ours in this spot.)
82. Fearless Tour – Fifteen
The first more intimate performance in this tour. She was seated and you can tell from the look in her eyes that the song made her feel nostalgic. Some videos of this have a teal dress and some have yellow; I prefer the teal.
81. Speak Now World Tour – Surprise Covers
A variety of covers on the guitar, during her acoustic set. She showed her versatility here as she did everything from classics to modern hits.
80. Fearless Tour – Hey Stephen
The one where she snuck around the hallways and popped out on the other side of the stadium. Great for the nosebleeds.
79. Red Tour – State Of Grace
She started off behind a red curtain, her silhouette singing the opening lines. (Unfortunately, the videos I watched had her struggling a lot with her earpiece and singing totally off-key for the first verse, but I know that wouldn't have happened every night.) A decent rock banger to open the show, if a little repetitive.
78. Red Tour – I Almost Do
The first of this tour's acoustic performances on the B stage. Nothing terrible but nothing remarkable either. It was about the lyrics and emotions, not the theatrics.
77. Red Tour – Begin Again
Staged the same way as I Almost Do, which was an appropriate way to do this song, but I can't help but think it would have worked better closer to the end.
76. 1989 World Tour – Bad Blood
It was fine, but by this point in the concert, I'm tired of the same kind of performance again.
75. Fearless Tour – Tell Me Why
Typical energetic angry Tay performance. She made some weird movements but that silver dress was everything.
74. Speak Now World Tour – The Story Of Us
Similar to Tell Me Why above from the previous tour.
73. Speak Now World Tour – Last Kiss
This version was a tad faster than the studio version, and the vocal delivery wasn't quite as sad; the sighs and the faint quiver in her voice that people love so much weren't really there. Still a nice rendition. The crowd was sobbing.
72. 1989 World Tour – Love Story
A nice synth arrangement that wisely went in a different direction than the older tours. By this point, both she and the audience had outgrown the princess gowns. However, I was kinda waiting for something more to happen, like fireworks or something.
71. Fearless Tour (2009 only) – Change
A faithful adaptation of this song, and a good choice for the main set closer.
70. 1989 World Tour – Welcome To New York
That was a lot of dancers! A decent opener, flashy and just '80s enough.
69. Red Tour – You Belong With Me
A sort of girl group throwback, with Taylor and the backup singers in matching red dresses and gloves. It was OK, and a good choice to perform one of her smash hits years later, but quite removed from the teenage angst this song came from.
68. 1989 World Tour – New Romantics
Similar to Welcome To New York which preceded it, this one worked early in the set almost as well as it works to close the deluxe album. Love her blue eyeshadow.
67. Speak Now World Tour – Mine
Pretty straightforward, but the red guitar is a nice touch. (Was she already dropping hints at Red?)
66. Red Tour – Sparks Fly
On a hanging platform that slowly moved around the arena, while the screens in back showed actual sparks. It was cool, but I'm not sure it was the best idea to limit her movement for arguably the loudest, most energetic song in her catalog at the time.
65. 1989 World Tour – I Knew You Were Trouble
The rock version. A bit slow and heavy but I appreciate her doing something new with the song.
64. 1989 World Tour – This Love
Could have been part of the acoustic set, but instead she upped the electronic and bass sounds and added fireworks. A nice breather before the last few songs.
63. Reputation Stadium Tour – End Game
Solid, but didn't stand out among the shenanigans of the other songs early in the show.
62. Red Tour – Everything Has Changed (with Ed Sheeran)
This one had a laid back feel that matches the song, but the raised platform and fans waving their lights gave it a little something extra. Ed sounded great. I kinda respect that he made no attempt to dress to the aesthetic.
61. Fearless Tour (2009 only) – I'm Only Me When I'm With You (with Kellie Pickler and Gloriana)
A very energetic country number with all the opening performers, the first of a two-song finale.
60. Speak Now World Tour – Surprise Guest Songs
She didn't have one at every show of this tour, but they were all pretty fun, with a mix of genres. The crowd, of course, loved them. It's really amazing to see how many friendships and connections she made in the industry, even early on.
59. Red Tour – Surprise Guest Songs
See above. Every one of these videos I found, Taylor had a different outfit, which is impressive.
58. Speak Now World Tour – You Belong With Me
She walked from the B stage back to the main stage, hugging and shaking hands with fans along the way. It's clear from including this song that, though Speak Now was a more adult album than Fearless, she knew most of her fans were still teenagers and still needed these songs about high school.
57. Fearless Tour – You Belong With Me
Her vocals weren't strong in the clips that I watched, but the costume was iconic.
56. Fearless Tour – The Way I Loved You
Sometimes done in the silveblack dress and sometimes in the purple. The way she moved between the two halves of the stage was pretty on-the-nose for the song, but I love how she featured Grant the guitarist. Hair Force One for the win! Also, it was a crime that they left this off the Journey to Fearless DVD.
55. Red Tour – The Lucky One
Taylor was dressed like a retro Hollywood starlet, and the dancers were paparazzi with cameras or screaming fans. A very literal presentation of this song which probably helped it stick in people's minds more.
54. Reputation Stadium Tour – Style / Love Story / You Belong With Me
I think Style was a weird choice to mash up with these two songs, but it worked well enough as a showcase for the band, many of whom had been with her over a decade by this point.
53. 1989 World Tour – Blank Space
She said her goal here was to recreate the music video, but I'm not sure this really conveyed the message of the song; she should have interacted with the dancers more to achieve that effect. Still a very entertaining performance, though.
52. 1989 World Tour – All You Had To Do Was Stay
The cherry on top: columns of blue smoke shot out every time the distorted voice squeaked "stay!" Not sure what was up with that chair, though.
51. Red Tour – 22
A big party, just as this song should be. I'm sure that, when seeing it live, the energy would have been off the charts. The choreography was impressive, more than we usually see from her.
50. Fearless Tour – Picture To Burn
The screens were on fire, so it's exactly how you'd expect her to stage this song. The guitar slayed.
49. Reputation Stadium Tour – Blank Space
I think the red bodysuit, gyrating choreography, and multiple Taylors on the back screen actually better conveyed the "character" she's playing in the song. Like she's this femme fatale with multiple personalities.
48. 1989 World Tour – Clean
Now here's a song that could have used some fake rain, somehow. Even so, the images on the big screen were quite lovely.
47. Speak Now World Tour – Mean
I think it was a good choice to keep this one simple. Just that porch-shaped mini stage with her band beside her. The song itself is a whole mood, so it didn't need a lot of theatrics.
46. Red Tour – Mean
Basically the same as the Speak Now performance, just with a different outfit and shaped stage.
45. Reputation Stadium Tour – Call It What You Want
Not as big a song as most of this album, but a nice warm moment before the crazy finale. I do dig the purple dress, and how the dancer she danced with was a redhead (not unlike a certain British actor).
44. Fearless Tour – Tim McGraw
Making this slow dance into exactly what it was meant to be: a swaying sing-along, everyone's phones or lighters in the air. She walked through the crowd to hug the fans.
43. Speak Now World Tour – Dear John
For the first couple verses, she just sat on the arch/bridge thing, and I kinda wondered if anything else was going to happen. Then I said "holy shit!" as the fireworks exploded up everywhere. We know she may never perform this one again, so I have serious FOMO that I did not see this show back then.
42. Speak Now World Tour – Speak Now
First time she wore the distinct purple Speak Now dress, possibly the outfit of the era. The crowd were singing along like crazy. The scenery definitely brought the song to life even if it normally isn't the most energetic from the era. She walked through the crowd shaking hands while the wedding guests tossed the bouquet around, wearing the most late 2000s/early 2010s party dresses imaginable.
41. Fearless Tour – Forever & Always
Boy was she pissed at a certain Jonas back then. Red dress, red microphone, red couch, red text on the back screen saying "They shouldn't do bad things." The notes in head voice sound kinda weak, but she nailed the high note with the microphone lean. Insane stumbling down the stairs and throwing herself all over the stage. Very extra.
40. Speak Now World Tour – Better Than Revenge
Reminiscent of the Forever & Always performance, but her vocals were better here. Grant and Paul got a guitar solo (or duet, I guess).
39. Reputation Stadium Tour – Getaway Car
Sonically, all but identical to the studio version. The "Why She Disappeared" poem beforehand and the desert visuals onscreen complemented it and helped turn it into more of a story.
38. Reputation Stadium Tour – King Of My Heart
The huge drums were a great touch. You can see how happy she was, which didn't always come across with just a superficial listen to the Rep album tracks.
37. Fearless Tour – Fearless
One of my favorite songs sounded even better live. Her smile, stomping and spinning around, totally captured the spirit of the song. Bonus points for adding in the name of the city each night.
36. Fearless Tour – You're Not Sorry / What Goes Around…Comes Around
First appearance of the piano head flip. These two songs worked decently mashed up, but I wonder how it would have been if she stayed at the piano the whole time.
35. 1989 World Tour – I Know Places
The moving doors were pretty cool.
34. 1989 World Tour – Surprise Songs
The raised walkway and whole stadium lit up blue was an excellent way to do the acoustic set. Props to her for not sitting down the way she did on the other tours, that had to take stamina. (In my heart, the sing-along of You Are In Love from the DVD is the "canon" performance here because it was part of the album.)
33. 1989 World Tour – Style
Probably the most effective use of the catwalk, given how it perfectly fit the lyrics. The dancers were brave for roller skating on it.
32. Reputation Stadium Tour – Bad Blood / Should've Said No
Another snake, this time a skeletal one transporting her to the upper stage. These songs worked very well mashed up; just listen how the crowd went nuts at that first banjo lick.
31. Reputation Stadium Tour – Dress
Another huge improvement from the studio version. It wasn't as high pitched, therefore more listenable. The sheets waving around everywhere were a nice subtle way to remind us what this song was about, in case people were too distracted by the pretty lights and synths to listen to the lyrics.
30. 1989 World Tour – Enchanted / Wildest Dreams
By this point, the piano mash-ups while wearing a long gown were getting kind of predictable. However, this was a great choice of mash-up and I dig whatever shape that piano was supposed to be.
29. Speak Now World Tour – Long Live
Another song that's tailor-made for a stadium just the way it is. The sparkly silver guitar was perfect.
28. Red Tour – Red
Now this is how you do a rock number. She had the sparkly red guitar and the dancers were waving giant red sheets all around.
27. Fearless Tour – Love Story
Once again, iconic. Ball gowns twirling until she changed into a white wedding dress, which def looked more like a prom dress. The backgrounds on the screen were low-res by today's standards, but this is what a lot of people still think of when they think of Taylor Swift.
26. Red Tour – Love Story
Similar to the Fearless tour version, with different costumes. The vocals weren't good in the video I watched, but we know she can do it. I especially like the moment where she grabbed her dance partner and ran across the stage with him – "escape this town for a little while."
25. Reputation Stadium Tour – Gorgeous
Classy move to use this song to introduce the dancers and backup singers. Also those cats in the Netflix recording – were they on the screens at the actual tour?!
24. Reputation Stadium Tour – Delicate
Finally bringing some color, as well as this era's version of the floating cage. The song is more romantic than what came before, but the gold tendrils wrapping around were still reminiscent of snakes.
23. Reputation Stadium Tour – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together / This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
An all-out romp to close the show.
22. Reputation Stadium Tour – Surprise Songs
Your feelings about this will probably depend on the individual song, especially if you saw the tour live. The videos I've seen were all great, showcasing how her vocals and guitar skills improve with every tour. Also, probably the last time we'll ever hear the 5-minute ATW live.
21. 1989 World Tour – Shake It Off
Basically the only way to do this song. I dig the royal blue.
20. Speak Now World Tour – Our Song
A definite improvement from the Fearless tour version. The prairie dress, the braid, dueting with Caitlin the fiddle player, and much more movement around the stage.
19. Speak Now World Tour – Sparks Fly
DROP EVERYTHING NOW! Excellent choice to start with this instead of Mine. The dress legit looked like it's sewn out of fireworks.
18. Red Tour – All Too Well
No frills, just Taylor at a red piano and this magnificent song swelling until it filled the whole arena. Her voice was quite raw and emotional here.
17. 1989 World Tour – Surprise Guest Songs
A major feature of this tour, done at every show.
16. Reputation Stadium Tour – Shake It Off (with Charli XCX and Camila Cabello)
As well done as the 1989 Tour version was, this one was a step up. I love the snakes bopping around. The message of this song worked just as well with the themes of Rep.
15. Reputation Stadium Tour – Dancing With Our Hands Tied
(Or So It Goes, in some performances.) Arguably the finest of all her acoustic sets. Beautiful stripped-down renditions of songs that I overlooked at first on the album. Some people say DWOHT is her most romantic song, and you can see why here. I also love the green get-up, which was still reminiscent of the snake motif but had its own flavor.
14. 1989 World Tour – Out Of the Woods
The forceful yet stuttering choreography really served the anxious nature of the song. The paper airplanes whizzing back and forth were a nice touch. Also the perfect spot in the show to put it – very climactic.
13. Red Tour – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
The finale where she brought the whole damn circus, literally. Sing it, clowns.
12. Reputation Stadium Tour – …Ready For It?
The old Taylor was dead.
11. Speak Now World Tour – Enchanted
They nailed the costume and the scenery yet again. She sang it better here than on the studio recording.
10. Speak Now World Tour – Haunted
Excellent transition here, as the Enchanted forest turned dark blue and the giant bell appeared. Speaking of the bell, her smacking it (but not really) may be the most dramatic thing to happen in any Taylor Swift live performance. Her dress was even tattered at the bottom. I'm here for all of it.
9. 1989 World Tour – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
When Taylor became the rock goddess we always knew she was.
8. Speak Now World Tour – Back To December / Apologize
Beautiful presentation of this song. Full string orchestra here (I think?). Really leaned into the winter imagery with the light blue gown, white piano, and snowflakes falling in the background.
8. Reputation Stadium Tour – Don't Blame Me
She swore she doesn't love the drama, but this performance would suggest otherwise.
7. Reputation Stadium Tour – I Did Something Bad
A strong performance with lots of pyro, but it really elevated at the bridge, where the dancers lifted Taylor up and she leaned back into the pillar of fire on the screen. "Light me up," indeed.
6. Speak Now World Tour – Love Story
An improvement over the Fearless version in every respect. She swooped over the crowd on a floating balcony, while pairs of dancers in period dress spun on trapezes hanging from the ceiling.
5. Fearless Tour – Should've Said No
THE RAIN MACHINE! With the words in it! I think this spoke for itself. She literally killed it.
4. 1989 World Tour – How You Get the Girl
Another rain performance, but this time with neon umbrellas and a unique glow-in-the-dark bubblegum dress. She didn't need to do all this for such a deep cut, but she did. Underrated.
3. Reputation Stadium Tour – Look What You Made Me Do
The superior version of this song (addendum: until Eras, that is.) The black-and-gold snake robe, the "tilted stage," and of course Karyn the massive inflatable snake. Helped many people appreciate and understand what was once a very polarizing song, myself included.
2. Reputation Stadium Tour – Long Live / New Year's Day
A gorgeous piano mash-up that went right to the heart. In my opinion, Long Live belongs on every tour, and the line "hold on to spinning around" flowed perfectly into "hold onto the memories." Beyond that, this was the moment that freed her from the bad-girl big-reputation persona she had presented for most of the show. It was human and vulnerable. Just look at the joy on her face as she gazed out at the audience. We stan a queen.
1. Red Tour – I Knew You Were Trouble
Perhaps not as iconic as the circus number, but sure as hell should be. Started with the fiddle player going absolutely insane, on a sparkly red fiddle no less! Followed by Taylor and all the dancers acting out some sort of masquerade ball, eventually tearing off her poofy white gown to reveal a sexy black and gold romper. An electrifying dubstep Phantom of the Opera.
Thank you for reading all this!

2023.05.31 20:35 daisypuffe Not looking forward to our wedding
Hello everyone,
I was hoping someone would be able to offer some advice regarding how I'm feeling about our wedding this month. I feel as though I'm "mourning" the wedding we never got to have. In hindsight, I know I should have stuck to what we wanted and not allow my parents to intervene. They've been abusive my whole life and I feel so dumb for having an ounce of hope that our wedding planning would have been different.
Our dream wedding was a small, 50-75 person MAXIMUM guest ceremony and reception with our closest friends and family at a lovely restaurant. We wanted to do a small wedding in the US, and then another small wedding in Poland so my fiancé's family there could celebrate with us.
I wanted a fun, classic, minimalistic dress that would only cost maybe $500 secondhand, and then have an intimate excursion (like a weekend trip after) honeymoon to celebrate.
I have been nonstop crying because of how de-railed our wedding ended up turning out. As I sit down to make the seating chart for our 116 guests, pick out the church music, and go to pickup the dress that didn't end up fitting me after 4 alterations sessions, I feel broken.
I am so excited to marry my fiancé. I'm so excited and honored to be his wife. Unfortuantely, I cannot WAIT for the wedding to be over. I cannot wait to just check off the box so my parents could be (somewhat) happy (because I will never please them no matter what compromises and sacrifices I make). I'm tired of every conversation being about the wedding, and just being looked at as the "example" of the family, when in reality, I wanted none of this.
I know now that we should have just done what we wanted because at least we'd be happy with my parents upset. But now, knowing my parents will never be pleased, we didn't do what we wanted and they're still not happy. At least we would have been. My mother keeps reminding me that she finally gets to throw a wedding for a daughter because the other one passed away. There's so much weight on my shoulders to just give her what she wants because she lost a daughter and I can't imagine how horrible that is, and how triggering this wedding may be for her. But the weight of it all has broken me.
I just hope the day can go by quickly so we can somehow, some way, figure out an option to "redo" everything in a private way. Since I have a lot of negative emotions tied to my wedding dress, I did go and buy a super fun vintage-style reception dress (that I've told no one about), which I'm really excited to change into. I think that's what I'm most looking forward to.
I know I should be grateful for having this grander-style wedding because many brides don't get to. I know I should be honored that my family want to be involved in wedding planning. I know there's so much to be happy about, but I feel horrible because I just can't bring myself to smile about any of this.

2023.05.31 18:22 Academic_Scratch536 We are 4 days away from our wedding, fiancés mom will not give a solid answer whether she’ll attend or not. Am I wrong to be upset?
My fiancé has a unique family situation that I don’t quite understand, and that he doesn’t give me much context to. There is some tension between his older sister and his mom.
We have known our wedding date for the past 8 months, and have asked her many times if she’ll be able to make it to the wedding. She always responds that she may or may not. First she said no because she didn’t want to make the sister uncomfortable. The sister said it’s fine, she doesn’t mind if she’s there. This was a month ago. I’ve been asking my fiancé to get a solid answer since the RSVP date. His mom lives in the same neighborhood as us and the wedding is local.
We are four days away and I just sent in the final numbers and seating chart this morning. She was not included in it because my fiancé said she most likely won’t be there. I asked him many times if I should include her or not, he just shrugs and says she most likely won’t be there.
It seems like the siblings are still trying to convince her to come. He is not letting them know that I already put in all the numbers. He says if she shows up, she shows up. Am I wrong to be upset by this?
I just wish they would’ve tried to do the convincing a week ago, not after I’ve already packed everything up, communicated the numbers and seating chart to multiple vendors. He says I am being rigid and inflexible. If I am, then please let me know.

2023.05.31 16:07 --5- Complete Transcript of Rahul Gandhi's address in America today

Transcript
Brothers and sisters, friends and I don't see the children who sang but, where are they, yeah I'd like to welcome all of you and thank all of you for coming here and also thank the wonderful children for the song they sang it was sung very movingly and very well.
Some months ago, we started a walk from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Prior to walking, we were finding that the normal tools that we used to use for politics, conversations like this public meetings was simply not working anymore. All the instruments that we needed to do politics in India - they were controlled by the BJP and the RSS. You know people are threatened, this is (important?) people, agencies are used on people. So, we were also finding that in some way it had become quite difficult to act politically and that's why we decided to walk from southernmost tip of India to Srinagar.
When we started, I thought okay. After five or six days, we realized that actually walking four thousand kilometers is not an easy thing you know and and I had an old knee injury that started to act-up. So I said now I’m in real trouble because there's no choice - one has to walk and I'm having quite a lot of pain then quite a surprising thing happened just I started noticing that after walking 25 kilometers - 25 kilometers is more than half a marathon - after walking three weeks every day 25 kilometers I suddenly felt one afternoon that it's strange that I'm not feeling tired at all. I get up in the morning six o'clock - we used to start and we used to end walking at about 7.30-8 in the evening. I was like, this is very strange - I'm not feeling tired at all, What is this? then I started asking people around if they are feeling tired, everybody is saying it's very strange that they're not feeling tired as well.
So I started to think about it and I realized that actually what was going on was that it was not us who were walking, it was India that was walking with us, right, and the large mass of people who are coming from all religions, all communities, everybody, kids - they were creating an atmosphere of love and affection where nobody was feeling tired. Almost as if, everybody was walking together, helping each other, and that's where we came up with the idea - Nafrat ke bazaar mein mohabbat ki dukaan kholi (
We opened a shop of love amidst the market of hate).
[Applause]welcome welcome[Music][Applause][Music][Applause][Music]
[Commotion in the back of the conference]
See, the interesting thing about us, about the congress party, is we have affection towards everybody - if someone wants to come, and say something - regardless of what they're saying, we're happy to listen to it. We are not going to get angry, we're not going to get aggressive, we'll nicely listen to it. In fact, we'll be affectionate to them we'll be loving to them because that's our nature.
So, we found that when everybody started walking together - completely different type of energy started coming and I noticed that the government tried everything. [
I mean, they tried all their might in stopping the yatra. They used police - but it didn't work - but the effect of Yatra was constantly rising. Why it happened was because you all helped us.] Not only in India, Bharat Jodo is an idea that is in all your hearts. And, it is about respecting each other and being affectionate to each other, it is about being not being violent towards each other, not being arrogant. I can see my Sikh Brothers here. Your Guru nanakji - his entire life was about this only. That, be humble, right, be humble, be affectionate and we walked nothing compared to Guru Nanakji. I read somewhere that Guru nanakji had gone all the way to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, he had gone to Thailand, he head gone to Sri Lanka. So, these Giants were doing Bharat Jodo much before we were born, right? And I can say the same for my friends from Karnataka - Basavanaji, friends from Kerala - Narayana Guruji.
Yeah so every state in India has had these Giants everywhere. I mean and every single one of them said listen to each other, be respectful - not just of your own religion, not just of your own language, not just of your own culture - but be respectful towards all cultures, all religions, all languages because they are in fact the same. And, the assault that is taking place in India - it's taking place on our way of life. Sam Petrodaji said that he grew up with all people living happily - different languages, different religions and that is what is being attacked. Also, the tradition in India and again something like GurunanakJi, Basavanaji, Gandhiji emphasized that not to be under the impression that you know everything that the world is too big too complicated for any one person to think that he understands everything and he knows everything. And so really that is the disease that Sam outlined that that is the disease that we have a group of people in India who are absolutely convinced that they know everything. In fact I think they think maybe they know even more than God. They could they could sit down with God and have a conversation and explain to him you know about what is going on and of course our prime minister is one such specimen.
[Applause]
I think I think if you if you sat Modiji down next to God Modiji would start explaining to God how the universe works. And, God would get confused that what have I created. So these are these are funny things but but really this is what is going on we have a group of people you know who understand everything. They can speak to scientists and explain science to them. They can you know speak to historians and explain history to them. They can explain Warfare to the Army and flying to the Air Force. Whatever they want, they can you know and at the heart of it is mediocrity. That they actually don't understand anything because because in life you cannot understand anything if you are not ready to listen. That's something the biggest - lesson I learned from Bharat Jodo yatra that there is something to learn from everybody. We are much older than those children but I can guarantee you they can teach us all how to sing. I was looking at them and I was thinking you know I can't sing like that. It's impossible, so when you look at another person, you have to appreciate that they have an experience, they have a life, they have seen things and maybe you can learn a lot from them. Maybe if you open your ears, you will listen to them and learn from them. And that is actually the Indian tradition. If you look if you look at our country, you will find that our country has the ability to absorb any idea that comes. India has never rejected any idea. Everybody who has come to India - has been received with open arms and their ideas have been absorbed in India. And that is the India that we like - India that respects the rest of the world, India that is humble, India that listens, India that is affectionate.
And that is the India that you represent. You would not be here if you do not if you did not agree with these values. If you if you believed in anger, hatred, arrogance - you'd be sitting in a BJP meeting. And, I would be doing Mann ki Baat.
[Applause]
Thank you very much for holding up the Indian flag in America. Showing the American people, what it means to be Indian, respecting them, respecting their culture, learning from them and also allowing them to learn from you. You make us all proud. And, when we think of our country, you're all our ambassadors. When America says Indian people are extremely intelligent, Indian people or masters of IT, Indian people are respectful - all these ideas that have come, they've come because of you and because of your actions and your behaviors. So I thank you very much for that.
I came here this morning, Sam organized the flight - I arrived after 16 hours of flying - 6.30 in the morning - I thought I'd be tired but I'm not tired at all because of the energy that you have given me. Thank you.
[After a break]
They've asked me to answer your questions. See that that also would not happen in a BJP meeting.
Question 1 - So I would like to ask you two questions - regarding this woman bill that has been uh you know in the court for almost more than half a century, so when the Congress comes in power - bill about woman's reservation rights - so that bill has been there for more than a quarter Century. So as a congress leader, what are your thoughts on it and how are you gonna deal with it? That's my first question. The second question is - In India, it's very hard for a woman - as a safety issue - so what are we going to you know offer our next generation of the girls in India. Thank you.
Rahul Gandhi - So on the women's reservation Bill - we are committed to that. We wanted to pass it in the last government but some of our allies were not too happy with it and they didn't give us the support for that bill. But I'm confident when we come to power we'll pass that bill. I think part of the answer to your second question lies in the first question itself. If we empower women, if we involve women in the political system, if we give women space in the governance of the country, if we give women space in the businesses of the country, we will automatically make them safer. So I think involving them in politics, involving them in business, involving them in running the country are the way to give them power. Thank you.
Question 2 - Hello Rahul ji, my name is Pugal. I'm the president of indo-american society for science, reason and free-thought. I also represent tamils who live in Bay Area. On behalf of our people and on behalf of people who believe in science, reason and free-thought, I would like to point out the we are honored, humbled and most truly, proud of your journey about opening up the shops of Love on the streets of hate all over the India. Tamils have long tradition of harboring Brotherhood mindset throughout their civilization - three thousand years ago our forefathers said
[Speaks in Tamil]
[Applause]
Translation - All human beings are created equal and every town is our town, everybody is our relative.
To us, India is like European Union with each state having its own language, its own tradition, its own festivals, its own Cuisine, dress code, way of living etc etc. They are all different, yet we live under one country called India therefore it is deeply saddening to us when someone from the Union Government try to impose one language one culture, one tradition, one religion, one school Etc. Recognizing this diversity to make a robust country, our beloved leader - the Dravidian icon former Chief Minister proclaimed, both in Parliament and in public forums, [Speaks in tamil] which means autonomous rule at the state level and federal rule at the union level.
Dear Rahulji, you have studied in America and you have traveled within United States extensively and you know much better than anyone else in this room that America is the best example of federalism. Each state has its own Constitution. It's one Supreme Court apart from federal laws. Whereas in India, congress party did have its own share of problems in the past but the times have changed the new thinking has emerged and you are the epitome of the new thinking. You are they new Hope and the streets of hate in India - my question to you is that like United States of America what's your thought on making India as a true United States of India. Thank you[Applause]
Rahul Gandhi - If you read our constitution, the definition of India in the constitution is a union of states and within our constitution is the idea that the languages, cultures, histories of each one of our states has to be protected under the union. So what you're talking about, is already incorporated in our constitution, it's already there. The BJP and the RSS are attacking that idea that you mentioned and also the constitution of India. That is fact now. For me personally, I understand that the Tamil language is more than a language to Tamil people, right? It is not just a language, it is their history, it is their culture, it is their way of life and I will never ever allow Tamil language to be threatened. [Applause]
Threatening the Tamil language is to threaten the idea of India just like threatening Bengali or threatening kannada or threatening Hindi or threatening Punjabi are all attacks on India. So our strength unlike many other countries, our strength comes from our diversity, our strength comes from accepting that we are all different, but we can work together and that is an idea that I'm sure you and the congress party are protecting. Thank you.
Question 3 - Hello Rahulji, I am Ganapathy. We welcome you here. We wholeheartedly thank you for taking up the fight against the fascism. So this rise of fascism is not a mere coincidence - and we believe in the social and the economic equality in the society and the inequality actually creates a conducive environment for fascism to emerge. So my question is like what is the plan of the Indian National Congress to improve the economic and the social inequality which creates this condition for fascism in the Indian subcontinent and also at the global level.
Rahul Gandhi - One of the things that we are suggesting is when we were in government we had carried out a caste census and the idea behind the caste senses was to take an x-ray of Indian Society - to find out what are the exact demographics of our country, what are the different communities, what are the different costs, how many people in each community, how many people in each caste, because without understanding our demographics and without understanding who is who, it is very difficult to distribute wealth, distribute power effectively.
So that was one idea that we had and we've been putting pressure on the BJP to release the caste census, the numbers and they are of course not doing it and we'll continue to apply pressure and if we come to power we will do that but we are committed as the congress party to make India a fair place and we understand deeply that India today in terms of its treatment of dalits, tribals, poor people, minorities is not a fair place. And, there are many many things that can be done - there is the Nyay scheme that we had which was aimed at providing a minimum income to all Indians, there are ideas like MNREGA. I think an increase in public education, increase in public health care - I thinkthese are all things that can be done to make India a much more equal and fair place. Thank you.
Question 4 - Rahulji, now the parliament Lok Sabha seats are increasing to 888 - what's your take on it? There's a proposal that you know Modiji is actually working on- it is going to be entirely based on population. It is going to tilt you know the orientation towards the highly popular states getting more and more Lion Share of the revenues and everything - so it's going to change everything you know - minorities are going to get even more depressed, you know majorities are going to be you know making everybody vulnerable - so what's your take on it?
Rahul Gandhi - Exactly how they're thinking about doingit - but I think one has to be very very carefully - when one change changes the representative structure of a country. So I'd be quite interested in understanding exactly how they've comeup with the number 800 [sic] and what are the criteria that they're using - these things should not be done flippantly. India is a conversation, India is a negotiation between its languages, between its people, between its histories and cultures and that negotiation has to be fair - meaning all parts of India, all the states of India should feel that there is fairness in the process of negotiation. If I see exactly how they are coming up with 800 and what is the design then I would be able to answer whether I agree with the number 800 but I haven't seen the way they're calculating it [Inaudible audio in the background], but it depends how they how the ratios change- yeah it is currently based on the population but you'll have to see how the ratios change.
I think the Parliament House - these are the distractions - the real issues in India are unemployment, price rise, spread of anger and hatred , crumbling education system, price of Education, price of Health Care - these are the real issues. BJP can't really discuss them, so then they have to do the whole skepter thing, you know lying down and doing all that aren't you happy I'm not lying down? Thank you.
Question 5 - Rahulji, Thank you so much for coming all the way here. I think this is something which we were starving for as Muslims from the Bay Area. We all want to thank you for your time and for your efforts in coming all the way here. As you know that you know Muslims have the security threat today like it was never before. The way we see today, like whenever we call and talk to anybody, it's like what's going on. There are so many different laws which are getting implemented which were not even implemented earlier - if it is just about the security it's okay, but then if it goes on and they are putting Muslim kids in the jails for the crime they have not committed - what strategy will you adopt or what hope are you giving to Indian Muslims which is going to change the whole thing back to the point where we were and get back to the normal stream to develop India the the best way?
Rahul Gandhi - For me to explain that is the line - Nafrat ke bazaar mein mohabbat ki dukaan kholi (
We opened a shop of love amidst the market of hate) - that is the best way I can say it which is that it is felt most strongly by the Muslim Community. Okay, because it is done most directly to them but in fact it is being done to all minorities - I can guarantee you that the same way you're feeling attacked, I can guarantee you my Sikh brothers are feeling the same thing, I can guarantee you my Christian brothers are feeling the same, I can guarantee you, the dalit community is feeling the same thing tribal communities feeling the same thing right - in fact anybody who is poor in India today - when he looks at the extreme wealth that a limited number of people have, in some way, he feels the same thing that you feel that what is going on? How is it that these five people have lakhs of crores and I have nothing to eat? So, you feel it most because it is directed at you most aggressively but it is a phenomena that is taking place against everybody in India right and you cannot cut hatred with hatred. It's impossible. You know that. You can only cut hatred with love and affection.
I was surprised at how easy it was to erase hatred in India. I was shocked. I didn't imagine that [speaks in hindi] -
walking from one place to another could make such a great difference. I didn't imagine it. Indian people, as you yourself have said, they don't believe in this stuff, they don't believe in hating each other, they don't believe in killing each other. This is a small group of people who have got control of the system, who've got control of the media and who are fully supported by you know - big money. But this is not the large mass of Indian people - I can guarantee you. I walked from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, I can guarantee you there are more people who believe in love and affection than hatred - millions and millions more.
So, don't be pessimistic. Also, I'd like to point out another thing. This happens periodically in India. What is happening for example to the Muslim Community in India today - happened to the dalit community in the 80s. If you went up to them in the 80s - what is happening with the Muslims is what was happening with the Dalits. So, periodically, this type of stuff happens and we have to challenge it, we have to fight it and we have to fight it with affection and not fight it with hatred. We will do that. Thank you.
Question 6 - Welcome Rahul sir and thank you so much for your win in Karnataka. You've made a lot of people very very happy. We've literally cried tears of joy - so thank you. My question for you would be that we have a lot of students who helped out here today - we really feel passionately for your cause and which is our cause now but what would you say to us if we want to go back to India - we want to represent our country - but we see how the athletes, the youth, the wrestlers there in recent times are being treated, it's very undignified - we feel very discouraged. So, what would you say to us to kind of bring the sense of wanting to go back out there for our country?
Rahul Gandhi - Please realize that there's a huge distortion - India is not what the media shows - the media likes to show you a particular narrative - it likes to promote a particular narrative that is actually not what is going on in India. It was very clear to me in the yatra that it's in the media's interest to project these things. It helps the BJP. So, don't think that everything you see in the media is the truth and as a young person, your country needs you - your skills and your energy will be very useful to your country. So if you feel like going back, do go back and help out. Thank you.

2023.05.31 15:22 Prestigious-Fold-876 Maze of Tartarus - Tips and Tricks
Hello friends! This is uncle Papi again!
Since I couldn't find a definite guide for the Maze of Tartarus anywhere, I'll try to share some tips on this hard challenge for all players that are having difficulty and want help to progress.
This post is by no means the optimal way to do. I'll just share here what worked for me on my journey from 1F to 30F. Hopefully some of the information will be helpful to someone.
Please be welcome to share your stories or contribute as well!
Some tips beforehand:
1- There is a summary of each boss, listing its elemental chart (weaknesses/resistances) and ailment resists, as well as its type. That way, you can take full advantage of elemental weaknesses and slayers, which you
SHOULD as much as you can.
2- Pay attention to each scenario, as most of them are special floors and some arks have synergy or special effects on them.
1F: Skull Lord x3. Team: SM Lilebette, Kyle, Eliza and Rei.
Strategy: I was very excited in my first fight! SM Lilebette was responsible to deal the damage, since monsters are weak to earth. Kyle, Rei and Eliza served as mana batteries, spamming Honey Elixir on SM Lilebette to keep the damage going.
2F: Elements x6 (one of each type). Team: Shin, Gravein, AoG Baran and Gaoul.
Strategy: Since each spirit has different resist/weaknesses, I decided to approach with neutral damage. AoG baran has native SCT sustain and the other characters were there just to use buffs/debuffs.
3F: Medrone, Winged Menace x2. Team: Vaughn, Carol Nº 4, Romel and Lily.
Strategy: The birds start flanking you (one on each side), so your primary goal should be bringing them to the same side to cleave them with skills, hitting both at the same time. They are weak to fire, so Vaughn had an easy time breaking them.
Romel and Carol were mainly responsible for buffs/debuffs, while Vaughn had Honey Elixir to keep the damage going.
4F: Gold Dabourne (a lot of waves). Team: Meredy, DXR-MK02.
Strategy: Very easy floor since the monsters are weak to instant death. I had Meredy and DXR-MK02 equipped with Death God skill. Things were looking very good until I reached next floor.
5F: Saint Pokkle. Team: Melza, Tinkili and Vergil
Strategy: This is where things start to get complicated, since you just get out of a very easy floor into a very hard one.
The boss will likely 1-shot your unit if:
- The unit is weak to light
- The unit is not a plant.
That being considered, I had Melza built full tank. Since she has a very high light resist, she didn't take too much damage and she could did double duty as a healer. Tinkili had buffs/debuffs and Vergil came in with damage, using his special on CD to be immune to flinch.
Positioning here is very important, as Vergil needed to stay behind the boss to avoid being cleaved together with Melza. I stacked a lot of movement speed on him so he could close the gap faster. Also, his S1 teleports him straight behind the enemies, which made the job easier.
The boss will sometimes cast Star Verse, which will hit VERY hard, so Magic Barrier, Shadow Wall, Metis, Lostoma (on the boss) and Decoy can help you survive.
6F: Nocturne Tinkili and Fan Sahagin x3. Team: Mia, Dabourne, Pokkle, Ghost.
Strategy: The fight is not hard. The enemies are easily grouped and are weak to thunder.
The boss will likely 1-shot your unit if:
- The unit is male.
That being considered, use monsters and/or female units to deal with the floor. The Sahagins, if left unchecked, can hit very hard, so be sure to nuke them down or use a female tank if you want (Maddine, Melza, etc.).
When the boss is low, she will use a Dark special which will hit hard, watch out for that.
7F: Lightning Myura (and his offsprings) x1. Team: Gorm, Logia, Shida and Lilebette.
Strategy: The boss is weak to earth and casting magic is the way to go. I don't have many casters, so I decided to go for physical damage instead. The boss is resistant to shadow but you can always lower its resistance with Weak and Circles.
Also, bring resistance to stun, since the boss will hit like a truck if a unit is stunned. Also, avoid staying at the edges of the room, since the boss can pin you there and do a lot of damage (dont know if it was a bug or intencional).
The boss itself is vulnerable to ailments, so Logia + Annula Melth did the trick, while Gorm tanked and Shida did the damage. Lilebette was responsible for healing and buffs/debuffs/revives as needed.
Arks/skills that trigger effects on kill are very useful, since there are many mobs that keep appearing during the fight.
8F: Igneed x2. Team: SLeona, Gobl, SMaddine and Zekus.
Strategy: Easy fight. The boss is very breakable and weak to ice. The main catch is the fire attack that he launches when close to death but there are many ways to lower its damage (Walls, Buffs, Debuffs, etc.). Gobl and SLeona were responsible for breaking the boss, while SMaddine and Zekus were responsible for buffs/debuffs, respectively. SLeona also did the damage.
9F: Ancient Ritual Remants x1. Team: Ardine, Hobgobl, Sahagin, Barcello.
Strategy: I'm not going to lie, all characters here were just used as mana batteries for Ardine, which ripped through everything with his
neutral damage.
Arks/skills that trigger effects on kill are very useful, since there are many waves of mobs that keep appearing during the fight.
10F: Gold Gaoul x1. Team: Lanceveil, Davan, Duran and Beyland.
Strategy: The boss has a VERY high defense and you can't use any spells, so debuffs that are activated on "Battle Start" are very useful here. Davan and Ghost Hime ark both have that (in Drain and Spirit Riot).
Your DPS want skills that bypass defense, such as Piercing/Diabolos skills or the Terror of the Grana Seas ark + axe equipped.
11F: Lightning Pablaboria x1. Team: Riesz, Leona, Leena and Dyne.
Strategy:
That -500 thunder resist IS A TRAP!!! The boss ABSORBS thunder, so the goal is to deal earth damage instead. Being immune to flinch is nice, if you can afford to (via units or arks).
The boss will spawn 4 creatures that, if not killed, will turn into new Pablos. If you manage to kill all 4 of them, the boss will instantly break. This is when you should go all out on damage.
Leena took care of healing and buffing, while Riesz/Dyne acted as mana batteries for Leona.
12F: Soul Eater (a lot of waves). Team: AoG Zouglas, OG Alice, Yashamaru and Princess Lilah.
Strategy: Death God works against the ghosts... IF you can manage to hit them. Yashamaru did the work, while OG Alice acted as a mana battery for him and AoG Zouglas gathered the ghosts to make things easier. Lilah was there for healing, since the ghosts can dish out some damage.
13F: Beast Abeliol x1. Team: DB Rei, SLanceveil, Vazard and Theria.
Strategy: The boss will alternate into being weak to earth or thunder, so you have windows to do damage. Besides, he'll attack with different spells (thunder and ice) depending on his "stance", so bring Walls accordingly.
Also, be careful on what kind of elemental you use on the boss. I didn't test everything but I found that if you hit him with light, he'll get empowered and wipe the floor with you.
He can be broken and that helps a lot. You can do the fight without a healer but you'll have a hard time unless you can kill the boss very quickly. Also, I used a thunder team but you can also use an earth team or mix both to take advantage of both "stances".
14F: Divine Beast Rock Mekia. Team: D'dii, Luke, 9S and AoG Lily.
Strategy: The boss starts the fight immune to magic damage but, at 50% hp, he'll switch over to being immune to physical damage, so you need a flex team who can deal both of types of damage.
Also, DO NOT USE ANY ELEMENTALS OTHER THAN DARK OR LIGHT, as the boss will get buffed and wipe you out. This also includes auto-attack, so pay attention to your equipped weapon elementals on the characters you're not manually controlling.
Also, DO NOT USE SPECIALS EARLY ON, as the boss gets resistant to it when you use them. Save them for when the boss is close to dying, so you can finish him off.
It is a good idea to have your caster do the same type of damage as your dps (because of Circles and other synergies). Also, the boss is vulnerable to blind and other ailments.
D'dii took care of the healing and ailments, 9S handled buffs and revives, Luke dealt with the 1st phase and AoG Lily dealt with the 2nd phase.
15F: Godhunter Shin x1, Yashamaru x1. Team: Roland, 2B, PT Robin and Luger.
Strategy: Ignore Shin for now, just focus Yashamaru. Be careful with his clones and try to find the real Yashamaru and nuke him down. Since he has SCT Theft, you need Honey Elixir to keep your skills going.
PT Robin and Luger were there as batteries for 2B and Roland. After Yashamaru dies, focus on Shin. When he's close do death he'll use his Special non-stop, so try to save your special/skill stocks to nuke him down when he gets to about 30%.
Since they are human type, a lot of arks can help in this fight.
16F: Thunder Babat (a lot of waves). Team: AoG Degrogue, Dark Melza and Lukiel.
Strategy: The bats are vulnerable to instant death, so Death God can be used here. Dark Melza/Lukiel were just used as mana batteries for AoG Degrogue.
If you have enough thunder resistance on AoG Degrogue, you won't need a tank or healer.
As in every stage with waves, having on-kill skills (pose of victory/glory/honor) is very useful.
17F: PB-SWEEPER G x1 (and his robots). Team: Eren, SZekus, Saint Lilebette and Warlock Leena.
Strategy: The boss flies, so you need ranged attackers or casters. The boss also slams the ground below him, dealing huge amount of damage. Abuse buffs, debuffs, weak, circles, etc.
When you kill the 2 flying bots, the boss will keep spamming robots to annoy you.
Since SZekus can be near immortal with Goddess Kiss, this fight was not too hard.
18F: Gold Grammos (a lot of waves). Team: SEliza.
Strategy: As I was starting to come short on good units to use and wanted to save some for the later floors, I had to compromise efficiency with availability.
SEliza was perfectly capable to solo this floor, as long as she could take some hits, as the Gold Grammos hit
very hard. Movement speed is key here and it might be useful if you can teach SEliza God Heal (just in case).
19F: Grandworm x3. Team: SMeredy, Robin, Blood Rose (don't laugh!) and Angela.
Strategy: This fight is VERY annoying if it doesnt start well. It took me a lot of tries to get it right.
Robin needs to be 5-star here, as he gets the very useful skill Stun Research. If you count his auto-attacks (16 hits), he can apply stun VERY easily just spamming his auto-attack. The SR Ark Eternal Clock De=Rowe is very useful on him because it increases the duration of his stuns by 30%.
Blood Rose was used as a healer and buffedebuffer, while SMeredy acted as a dps (using only her S2, which is ice-based) and Angela rocked her ice magic.
20F: White Knight Melza x1, Gallant Flame Vaughn x1, Ice Emperor Seilios x1. Team: SGoroth, SRoland, GA Lukiel and Zleorg.
Strategy: This fight can be hard because when Vaughn and Seilios are close to dying, they get a HUGE damage buff, so they need to die ASAP. Try to spread the damage but not too much to the point where they all get low at the same time.
Melza herself can be a pain because of her guard skill that activates a lot and she HEALS while guarding, so bring units/skills/arks that can pierce that guard (Shockwave skill, for example). Another useful tip is to lower her ailments resist and try to inflict illness on her, negating all her healing (it worked wonders).
After Melza dies, she gets reborn as Dark Melza, dealing dark damage instead of light. Zleorg was surprisingly useful this fight and Dark Melza is VERY susceptible to breaking, so SGoroth kept her permanently broken while SRoland destroyed her.
GA Lukiel was crucial in the 1st part of the fight to nuke Vaughn and Seilios without risk of them getting uber buffed.
21F: Tetrodon x1 (and his companions). Team: Goroth, Murren and Seilios.
Strategy: Yikes, the boss will inflict you with
LOTS of ailments, so come prepared! Also, the stage's special effect lowers your max HP and the boss' special also lowers it even further!
I used my SC to get all status resistances that I could and used accessories to resist what I could.
Murren could probably have soloed it but it would take too long, since he needed to cast Honey Elixir and kept getting interrupted.
22F: Abaddon the All-consuming x1, Tentacle x3. Team: Claire & Dalgion, Zaix, Yuri and Saintly Theria.
Strategy: More ailments and heavy shadow damage. The boss is VERY susceptible to breaking, so Zaix did the job with Claire's help, while Zaix and Yuri did the damage and Saintly Theria took care of keeping the team healthy.
23F: Star Jelly x1 (Thanks Tony for the advice on improving my time here!). Team: Maddine, Doura.
Strategy: This fight looks very hard at first sight, until you notice the boss attack pattern. It COPIES your attacks! Taking advantage of that, if you use the spell Soul Spark (which is a suicidal spell), the boss will copy it and suicide.
Take notice, however, that it still deals a ton of damage, so bring some means to stay alive (Determination, Decoy, Shadow Wall, Magic Barrier, Metis, etc.).
24F: Yggdrasil x1, King Pokkle x1, Spirit x1, Pokkle x1, Death Plant x1 and Gaoul x1. Team: SMelza, BB Shin and Dilmordo.
Strategy: Very easy floor. Not too much to say here: they're all weak to fire. Bring some means to recover SCT (Pose of Glory, Honey Elixir, etc.) and you're good to go!
25F: Cryofoul Medrone x1. Team: Nero, Graphel, TB Sevia and V.
Strategy: Foul indeed, this fight was VERY hard for me. So many opportunities to fail the fight when things were apparently going well!
The key here was to use V to keep the boss stunned and use Graphel to dish out damage. TB Sevia did the healing/reviving (worked a lot in this fight) and Nero helped with the damage.
Bring resistance to Illness, as the boss can inflict it. And most importantly: don't lose heart and keep trying!
26F: Greaver, Abyssal Spirit x1. Team: Alphonse, Stahn, Alice and Sera.
Strategy: The boss starts the fight summoning some skeleton adds. After you kill the adds, the boss will become immune to both physical and magical damage (specials still work).
How do you get around it? The answer is simple: BREAKING! Stahn is there for this reason and, once the boss is broken for the 1st time, it will take damage normally and will summon the skeleton adds again during the fight.
Be careful because the boss uses dark attacks and spells and they hurt. Sera is there to keep the team alive, while Alice can take care of the adds and Stahn can take care of the boss. Alphonse tried to gather the skeletons for Alice.
27F: Holy Gourmet Phagodelus x1. Team: Vayne.
Strategy: I thought this was a good time to use my Trishula, so I gave it to Vayne and he soloed the stage. Just bring some health and earth resistance and you're good to go!
The boss saps MP, so things like Proud Force or Dusk are not very useful here.
28F: Burning Fortress Gabord x2. Team: SBeyland, Sevia, Maja and SM Theria.
Strategy: Very hard fight for me. I had to start using the big guns or I wouldn't be able to progress. Sevia is very useful because her special
HALVES ALL DAMAGE! And it fills very quickly, so you can easily maintain 100% uptime.
The boss alternates into being resistant to physical and magical damage, so you need both here. SBeyland and Maja did the job.
The boss does fire damage so bring resistance!
29F: Venom Dragon Babalaad x1. Team: Skeleton, Adel, AoG Mayly and Phal.
Strategy: This boss can be deceptively strong because of its mechanic. By itself, it doesnt to a whole lot of damage. However, if one of your characters is poisoned, it deals HUGE damage to them! And to make things worse, the boss CAN LOWER YOUR AILMENTS RESISTANCE! So be above immune to poison to have an easy time here.
The boss can be made vulnerable to ailments, so Phal and Mayly kept it under control with Stun Research. Meanwhile Adel discharged all his fury onto the boss.
30F: None other than El'dravahna, the Imperator himself! x1. Team: SGorm, Lelouche, Joker and Lougseus.
Strategy: Not too much to say, the boss hits very hard and has a lot of HP. It can be broken, altought I only had those 4 units left and not much room to wiggle.
SGorm was very useful because he used his buff on Joker to make him tougher. Lelouch is very tough himself and was the main MVP in this fight with Grand Aura/Brave Phaser and Goddess Kiss. Lougseus was my healedebuffer while Joker was my mana battery for Lelouch.
I saved my "Absolute Power of Obedience" when I had all stocks full and when the boss was close to dying, so he wouldn't pull any tricks on me.
-
Keep in mind, folks, that this is NOT an easy content. It's hard, it can be frustrating at times but it feels really good when you manage to clear another floor!
If you're having a hard time, do not feel shy to take a break and build up more units (or try to acquire some). I litteraly used ALL units I have on my account and almost all of my arks.
All units that I used have learned all ark skills that I can, as it allowed me for diversity and to use the worst units as mana batteries or supports/tanks.
Also, all units that I used were at least lvl 110 (5-enhance), with the exception of SRoland and Lelouche who are 6-enhance. All units are also at least 4-awaken (with most being 6-awaken and SRoland being 8-awaken).
And that's the end of my journey through Tartarus. I hope you find this information useful!

2023.05.31 14:46 rmesh Selling two cat 3 UWCL-Champions-League tickets
Hi, a friend of mine + her partner unfortunately can’t make it to the UWCL final due personal reasons. They asked me if I could help sell the ticket so that the seats won’t be empty.
The two tickets are cat 3, sector BB. Hit me up with a reddit PM if interested (not chat please, my reddit client doesn’t support it unfortunately).
Also if anyone wants to grab a beer on Eindhoven, I’m in! Looking forward to it!

2023.05.31 13:54 tk5ellie Points booking with partner airlines
My spouse and I are looking at redeeming our Aeroplan points for the first time in booking a trip to Japan around this time next year. We’re hoping to maximize our balance of ~200k to fly business class there (one way only).
It looks like from the Aeroplan redemption chart that partner airlines should be a fixed 75k for a business class seat - but when I start to search for flights there’s a fairly limited inventory of direct flights on partner airlines. We don’t live in Canada at the moment, so we’re looking to fly through the US to Japan. Most options I see have us routing through a Canadian airport.
Some tips or advice on how to find/book with other carriers would be a huge help.

2023.05.31 13:53 bigbear0083 (5/31) Wednesday's Pre-Market Stock Movers & News
Good morning traders and investors of the StockMarketChat sub! Welcome to the final trading day of May and a fresh start! Here are your pre-market stock movers & news on this Wednesday, May the 31st, 2023-
Stock futures were lower Wednesday as investors kept an eye on the federal debt ceiling debate in Washington ahead of the final trading day of May.
Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 33 points, or about 0.1%. S&P 500 futures slid 0.15%, and Nasdaq-100 futures were down 0.17%.
The move in futures comes after a muted day of trading on Tuesday that saw the Dow shed about 50 points while the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.3%.
Heading into the final trading day of May, the Nasdaq Composite is up nearly 6.5% for the month. The S&P 500, however, is up only about 0.9%, while the Dow has fallen 3.1%.
The outperformance of the tech-heavy Nasdaq is due in large part to the excitement around artificial intelligence, which briefly pushed Nvidia’s market cap above $1 trillion on Tuesday. However, many on Wall Street are worried that the market’s strength has been too narrow.
“We’re not seeing any signs of broad participation. We’re not seeing signs of early cyclicals on top of A.I.,” said Andrew Smith, chief investment strategist at Delos Capital Advisors in Dallas.
One factor that has weighed on the market in recent weeks is the fight over the debt ceiling. President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced a deal over the weekend to cap federal baseline spending for two years and raise the debt ceiling, but the agreement has not yet been ratified.
The deal cleared a major test Tuesday night after advancing to the House floor following a 7-6 vote in the House Rules Committee. The floor vote is expected to take place around 8:30 p.m. ET Wednesday.
“I think we have the votes to pass this today,” said Rep. Patrick McHenry, a GOP negotiator on the debt deal, on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” Wednesday morning.

2023.05.31 13:52 bigbear0083 (5/31) Wednesday's Pre-Market Stock Movers & News
Good morning traders and investors of the StockMarketForums sub!

As I was about to turn left, pumunta ba naman sa side ng driver's seat at sinermonan pa ako, Ika niya "sinenyasan kita kanina para tumigil.
Sa nag trabaho sa government, please if you can exert power, I random spot check niyo mga traffic enforcers niyo. It seems that they are doing thwir job terribly and lashing out their abjse of power to motorist and drivers. P
