Greetings!
Wondering if anyone out there has outstanding loans with this formerly for profit institution closed during the Obama administration.
Why?
I recently received a letter from the Department of Education discharging them in full with potential reimbursement.
I should note that I did not ever reach out to the department concerning these specific loans, however I did apply for the forgiveness during the brief window of time it was available last year.
It looks legit, so check your emails, and once I hear more I’ll update this.

I think most Star Fox fans know about Bear Noguccini and Desla Koba and their reconnaissance-type Arwings, the M-Scouters, from the Introduction and Flight Recorder sections of the Japanese-only official strategy guide for Star Fox, the Mission File Printout. But I noticed some things in the Flight Recorder pages that don't get discussed as much, and thought there might be a lot more obscure lore hidden away in the rest of the guidebook. As far as I knew, only the Introduction, developer interviews, and parts of the Flight Recorder pages had been translated. Sorry if anything I think is unknown or obscure is well-known or found elsewhere in the manual or game. I figure at least some of it has to be new.
I've gone through almost the entire Mission File Printout, using Google Translate to get rough translations. Any "fact" I share could be suspect thanks to how I translated it, but the broad strokes shouldn't be wrong. Please share corrections if you can.
I'm sure this would be more readable with pictures, but in lieu of that I'll link to a PDF of the Mission File Printout on Internet Archive and you can look along based on the page numbers. (The numbers on the physical pages, not on Internet Archive's reader.)
The SFC Star Fox continuity has an in-universe calendar system.
Star Fox fans don't construct timelines based on in-universe calendar systems, like the Universal Century (UC) of Gundam or Before the Battle of Yavin/After the Battle of Yavin (BBY/ABY) dates in Star Wars. They've been stuck with the fan-coined Before Lylat Wars/After Lylat Wars (BLW/ALW) calendar. But at least for the SFC continuity, there's been an official one forgotten all this time.
The Flight Recorder sections on pages 26, 42, and 60 all give dates for Fox Senior, Bear and Desla's final transmissions. Fox Senior disappeared 238.04.20 in the Asteroid level, while Bear and Desla disappeared on the same day, 244.03.17, despite Bear being in Sector Y and Desla in Asteroid. I get the sense the game takes place within a month or a few months after 244.03.17. The calendar system is 宇宙暦 in Fox and Desla's entries and 宇宙歴 in Bear's, both read "uchū-reki", "space calendar" or "space history". For comparison, Anno Domini or Common Era is 西暦 in Japanese, "seireki", "Western calendar".
(I seriously wonder if that 238.04.20 date isn't a reference to Hitler's birthday of April 20, since "Andolph" was likely named after "Adolph" and it was Andross who created the Black Hole that killed or disappeared Fox Senior.)
The images in Bear and Desla's Flight Recorder sections are timestamped "C.C.244.03.17". This suggests 宇宙暦 is "Cosmic Calendar", or perhaps "Cosmic Century" if they take a cue from Gundam. (Universal Century is 宇宙世紀, uchū-seiki, not -reki, but the Correct Century of 1999's Turn A Gundam would translate the reki in 正暦 as "Century" rather than "Calendar", so it's conceivable.)
(The C.C.244.03.17 timestamp is also used on photos throughout the walkthrough sections. It would have been fun if they had given different dates for each level, but presumably Star Fox didn't defeat the Androssians in a single day, on the same day Bear and Desla disappeared and General Pepper printed out their scouting reports.)
This also might imply things about the long-term history of Corneria. Does C.C.000.01.01 or C.C.001.01.01 correspond to some space travel milestone? Has Corneria only been spacefaring for 244 years?
The SFC continuity's equivalent of the Cornerian Fighter has an official name, the X-Fighter.
Page 26 describes the model of aircraft (搭乗機種, the translation of which I don't quite understand, "Boarding Model"?) Fox Senior disappeared in as the "Xファイタ–(コーネリア第VI期主力戦闘機)", "X-Fighter (Corneria Phase VI Main Fighter)".
I presume this is the same model that's seen being blasted by the Attack Carrier in the game's pre-title intro, and the Cornerian aircraft seen in the Benimaru Itoh comic. Page 7 has a wireframe model of a "former Corneria main fighter", noting it lacks a G-Diffuser System, and it looks like what's in the intro and comic.
Could "X-Fighter" be a reference to the Game Boy game X being a predecessor to Star Fox?
Does "第VI期" mean the X-Fighter is the sixth in its line? Or does it mean it's in the sixth generation of this world's space fighters? I doubt the latter, since the Japanese Wikipedia article for Fifth-generation fighter uses "第5世代".
There is a Sector N.
This one could be a typo for Sector X, Y or Z... on the guidebook's part, not my own. I swear! Check page 26 on the PDF yourself, it's an N, not a Z.

…Currently, the 7th Squadron has destroyed space pirates in Sector N, and while returning to Cornelia, they discovered a series of 5 meteorites…

In SF64, Sector Z has a history of space pirate activity, and the wreckage there is from decades-old battles between the CDF and space pirates. Maybe that idea evolved from this little bit. But I don't see anything else about space pirates and Sectors XYZ in any material, certainly not in the Mission File Printout itself. The Route 3 Asteroid level is on the way back from Sector Z, but the "laughing moon" where Fox Senior disappeared is on Route 1, with no in-game Sectors between it and Venom.
Perhaps the writer did intend a fourth Sector, and went with N for Nintendo.
The boss section entry for Andross implies the final boss is a computer, and that Andross himself doesn't need to be controlling it or anywhere near it.
On page 62:

アンドルフ皇帝に代わって全軍の総指揮を行なっている、超巨大コンピューター。テレキネシスという強力な念力で物体を自由に動かし攻撃してくる。顔のような外壁の中にあるメインコンピューターを攻撃しないかぎり破壊不可能。機械でありながら独自の意志を持っており、アンドルフ皇帝が直接操作していないと思われる。
A gigantic computer that takes over command of the entire army on behalf of Emperor Androff. It attacks by moving objects freely with the powerful power of telekinesis. Indestructible unless attacking the main computer inside the face-like outer wall. Although it is a machine, it has its own will, and it is believed that Emperor Androff is not directly controlling it.

This is reinforced elsewhere in the guide, where Star Fox is tasked not with defeating Andross but with destroying his "Great Brain". Page 13:

グレートブレイン内部にある超次元空間動力機関を破壊し、アンドルフの野望を阻止してほしい。
I want you to destroy the hyperdimensional space power engine inside the Great Brain and stop Androff's ambitions.

Of course, maybe the idea is that Cornerian intelligence just hasn't realized that Andross fully transferred himself to this mechanical computer, like how Andross becoming an organic giant brain in SF64 is a surprise to Fox. Or maybe they really meant for Andross to be separate from his computer to bring him back in sequels. I've always assumed Andross's cyborg design in SF2 was due to injuries sustained in the final boss battle of the first game. But maybe he just cyborgized himself despite no injuries, or maybe he was injured in the chain-reaction destruction of the Venom base.
(Or, maybe the intention was to imply that Star Fox makes their way from Corneria to Venom three times, destroying a rebuilt Great Brain each time. Page 45 says something about it being impossible to hold on to Venom if the Great Commander ship isn't destroyed.)
Regardless, it's odd to think of an AI computer capable of telekinesis.
Some readers probably won physical versions of the Corneria Airforce patch on the front cover in a raffle.

This would suggest there were once 100 Corneria Airforce patches floating around. I wonder if any remain. Image searching "スターフォックス特製ワッペン" didn't bring up anything other than some SF64-based patches, though.
General Pepper's first two initials are "Z. Z.".
This one isn't so obscure. But it's worth repeating.
The guidebook is peppered with in-universe scientific justifications for gameplay mechanics.
It keeps referring to special "coatings" used by the Androssian military to reflect blaster fire. Page 45 says this coating (or at least one type of it) is mined from asteroids around Corneria.
On page 9, I think it's explaining why spinning deflects laser fire...

I love when they explain dumb game stuff like that. I don't recall that from the manuals or anything.
The goal of the Route 1 level in orbit above Venom is to destroy jamming satellites so that the location of Andross's base on the surface can be found.
Page 13:

また、本作戦の最終目的地であるアンドルフ軍の本拠地・グレートブレインは、ベノム軌道上を周回する軍事衛星の妨害電波によって正確な位置が惑星上からわりだせないようになっている。軍事衛星をコントロールする空間浮遊ロボットを撃破して、敵本拠地を発見すること。
In addition, the final destination of this operation, the base of the Andros army, the Great Brain, is unable to determine its exact position from the planet due to jamming signals from military satellites orbiting Venom. Find the enemy base by destroying space-floating robots that control military satellites.

I don't know the actual game well enough to know if there were specific jamming satellites you see in gameplay. Is Phantron is controlling them from a distance?
The Black Hole in the game was created by Andross's experimental antiproton bomb.
Page 26:

わがライラット系には、Dr.アンドルフが６年前に行なった反陽子爆弾の実験でできた“すべてを飲みこむ宇宙の穴"、ブラックホーが ある。
In our Lylat system, there is a black hole, an "all-encompassing cosmic hole" created by Dr. Androff's antiproton bomb experiment six years ago.

So it was probably detonated in C.C.237 or early C.C.238, not long before Fox Senior fell in in C.C.238.04.20.
Compare this to the Benimaru Itoh comic, where Fox Senior was carrying Andross's experimental bomb in his Cornerian fighter when it detonated creating the Black Hole. The comic calls it a "gravity bomb". I wonder if Benimaru Itoh's script didn't have "antiproton bomb", and a Nintendo Power translator chose to localize it as "gravity bomb" since antiprotons have no obvious connection to black holes?
(I've always been curious as to how the comic was translated; I presume Itoh's English writing isn't fluent, based on an email reply he sent to a fan I've seen, and the comic's humor has a rather Saturday-morning Western bent to it. It's hard to imagine "hyper-twinkies" having been Japanese coinings. Do the Nintendo Power issues credit a translator? Was there an original Japanese script, deep in a Kyoto basement?)
The giant bird in Asteroid 3-2 is called Unidentified Object A, codenamed Silver Phoenix, and the space whale in Sector Y is called Unidentified Object B, codenamed Space Whale.
Pages 42 and 60.
Bear disappears after seeing the Space Whale after Desla disappears while seeing the Silver Phoenix, but on the same day. The guide repeats the Benimaru Itoh comic's connection of the creatures to the other dimension, which is also connected to "超次元空間動力機関", a "hyperdimensional space power engine" constructed by Andross, which is also connected to the Great Brain (see page 13; Google translations imply this engine is "inside" the Great Brain, but I wonder if the Great Brain isn't inside it, hence the boss battle seeming to take place inside a colorful pocket dimension).
The Attack Carrier was originally a battleship, modified into an aircraft carrier.

Phantron was designed as an anti-Arwing weapon.

Professor Hanger was probably originally a Corneria-controlled machine on their resource mining base, before being modified by Andross... with a bioweapon?

So did Andross put something biological and gooey inside the machine? Like something out of Simon Stålenhag?

In my personal opinion, the Galactic Rider is being assigned too many tasks to be effective at its job.

A security machine that guards the central highway that leads to the Andolf Army General Headquarters [or General Command Department?] Great Brain. Equipped with a large number of air bikers inside, it launches one after another toward the attack target. The exterior has a special coating that repels blasters. The only way to attack is to aim at the inside that can be seen when the hatch is open.

Its job is to guard that central highway, but presumably it's piloting the Metal Smasher satellite up in orbit full-time until Metal Smasher is destroyed. Can't something else pilot Metal Smasher? Anything whose job isn't to guard the main highway on the surface? Is Andross that confident nothing will threaten him on the surface unless Metal Smasher is destroyed?
Monarch Dodora is a cyborg.

Kind of a disappointment to me, since I didn't like Dodora's seemingly fully-mechanical design in Star Fox Zero. I much prefer the fully-organic, and visibly dodo-inspired, Monarch Dodora of the Benimaru Itoh comic... although I guess that one's technically a cyborg too, since Andross had a mind-control device on it. Maybe the level of cyborgization here is similar.
One Fortunan flying enemy is the Dodo Seagull, who were somehow created by Monarch Dodora.

Can't tell if this is implying the Dodo Seagulls are young Dodora that could grow into Monarch Dodora, birthed by it, or if they're created in some other manner.
Monarch Dodora has an attack called "Dodoshīgaru".

The Battle Butterfly is a fighter craft, while the Dark Butterfly is an organic creature from Fortuna the Battle Butterfly was modeled after.

Interesting choice, makes the world feel more real and interconnected. I would've thought they were just two versions of the same fighter craft.

I'm guessing these two wrote a lot of the guide, making them the real-world analogues of Bear and Desla, scouting out the game world and writing up their reports for the players. I thought it'd be pointless to translate the credits at the back of the book, but if I hadn't I wouldn't have made this cute discovery.
Also, Shigesato Itoi of Mother is credited as Supervisor.

To international students, when you enrolled courses do you get billed at international rate per credit? I don't know if this is a bug or a human error but when I enrolled three courses (equivalent to 12 credits), I wasn't billed at first. I email the studentaccounts and they updated my account. Upon checking, I am charged 93.24 per credit only instead of 638.49. Is this normal or an error? I replied to the email but didn't get any response. Should I proceed with the payment? xd

Hello all,
A friend of mine applied for a job, did the interview, now is being asked to do a credit check through TransUnion. However, when they go to input the information and submit, they get "unable to verify identity". Upon calling TransUnion, it turns out they have the wrong birth date on file. They are one day off. TransUnion will not update the file with the correct birth date. They say you have to "contact your creditors" to get the birth date updated.
My friend is at a loss what to do here. My friend already called their bank, etc. and the information is already correct. The offering of this job hangs in the balance of the TransUnion credit report and it cannot be generated because TransUnion won't allow the birth date to be corrected.
What else can be done?

Buying & Shipping

1. What’s the best place to buy my anime figures from?
That’s going to depend a lot on what works for you, but most people around here buy them from Amiami, Big in Japan, Hobby Search, HobbyLink Japan, or Tokyo Otaku Mode. If none of those work for you for whatever reason, there’s a list of reputable retailers in the sidebar that you can check out at any time. Be extra careful when ordering figures from websites like Amazon or ebay, as there are a lot of bootlegs on those sites. Don’t be afraid to ask in our Bootleg Megathread if you’re unsure.
2. What differences are there between the shipping options I get from most Japanese shops?
Below is a rundown of the main shipping choices you’ll get at most retailers. Keep in mind that if an order is large enough you will be forced to use one of the more expensive options, as SAL shipments have lower size and weight restrictions.

• Unregistered SAL: Sometimes referred to as uSAL, is usually the cheapest method. It does not come with any tracking or insurance. Usually takes up 2-4 weeks for delivery.
• Registered SAL: Sometimes referred to as rSAL, is insured for the declared value up to 6,000 yen. It comes with a tracking number and usually takes 2-4 weeks for delivery.
• EMS: This method of shipping is much faster than either SAL options, usually arriving within a week of shipment. EMS shipments are insured for the declared value up to 2,000,000 yen.
• Airmail
• E-packet
• Surface: Shops don't offer this very often. It's an actual cargo ship and slow as a result.
  
• DHL: Becoming more available as an alternative to EMS on AmiAmi and other sites. Can be less expensive than EMS and of comparable speed, but may be more reliant on the specific geographical area being shipped to. The price is also determined by the size of the box. Offers their own tracking.
  

3. I placed two+ orders for figures at different times. Will my items be shipped together, or will I have to pay shipping twice?
Most shops will ask you to pay shipping on a per-order basis, but here are some that will allow combined shipping:

• Amiami: You can combine orders here, as long as the orders ship in the same month. It doesn’t matter if the item is new or preowned. Any preorders that are set for that month can also be combined with other orders for that month. However, be aware that if the preorder gets delayed, Amiami will remove that item from that month’s shipment and place it on a new order. To combine orders on Amiami, use the “Combine Orders” feature under “My Account”.
  
• Hobby Search: Hobby Search will let you combine orders that release in the same month, but you cannot combine in stock items with preorders. If you want to combine multiple preorders, or multiple in stock items, you can do so using the “Order Recombination” feature on your account page.
  
• HobbyLink Japan: At HLJ, you have the option to send paid orders to their “Private Warehouse”, where you can store them for up to 2 months. When you’re ready to ship the items, you simply select which items to ship and HLJ will combine them into one shipment for you. To use this, just select the “Private Warehouse” option as shipping when you order.

4. When will I get charged for my preorder?
Most Japanese shops charge you once the item is in stock and ready for shipment. When that happens, they will send you an email asking for payment. Some shops (mostly overseas ones), will allow you to pay for the item up front though, if you’d like. A few with that option are:

• Big in Japan (Japanese store)
• Tokyo Otaku Mode
• Anime Island
• Crunchyroll

Keep in mind that overseas stores will likely get the figure a few months after Japanese ones, so pay attention to the release date stated on the website you are buying from so as to avoid that confusion.
5. Should I expect to pay customs fees when importing figures?
That depends on where you live. Here’s a quick rundown:

• Australia: 10% GST is now assessed up front.
• Canada: Minimum declared value for charges is around CAD$20 for regular shipments, and CAD$60 for gifts (gifting something only seems to lower the declared value by about CAD$40, not deplete it completely). When using Amiami, try their Small Air Packet option. It comes with tracking, gets there in about the same time as EMS, and is better at avoiding customs.
• European Union: As of 1st July 2021, VAT has to be paid on all goods imported from outside of the EU. Retailers are supposed charge VAT for purchases under €150, however many Japanese retailers currently do not, so VAT will be charged when your order arrives in the EU. Orders that are >€150, VAT and duty will be charged by your local customs.
• UK: As of 1st January 2021, VAT is to be charged by retailers for orders <£135. However, customs isn't currently charging VAT on parcels valued at <£135, even if the VAT hasn't been paid. Goods >£135 will have their VAT and duty calculated and charged by customs.
• Mexico: Minimum declared value for customs fees is USD$300 for shipments by post, and USD$50 for shipments by courier.
• United States: A shipment has to have a declared value of USD$2,000 before customs starts hitting you with fees, so you most likely won’t have to worry about them at all.

6. The figure I want is an exclusive, how do I go about ordering one outside of Japan?
You have three options for this:
A. Big in Japan is known to stock exclusive figures and ship to other countries. Usually the price is higher because they build in their proxy fees, but it’s easier than worrying about using a forwarder or proxy service. If you live in the US, Crunchyroll, Right Stuf, and Tokyo Otaku Mode also get exclusives sometimes, but out of the states the shipping can get expensive.
B. Forwarding Services: A forwarder is someone who you ship an exclusive item to so that they can forward the package on to you, usually for a flat fee + shipping. When using a forwarder you still make the purchase yourself, and enter their address into the shipping field. When the box arrives at the forwarder they will then stick your address onto the package and send it on its way.
Some popular forwarders are:

• Big in Japan
• Tenso

Be sure to read each sites instructions on forwarding carefully!
C. Proxy Services: With a proxy, you tell them what the item you’re looking for is and they will purchase it in your stead. This is handy for when a company doesn’t accept foreign credit cards, or you’re having trouble navigating a Japanese website.
Some popular proxies are:

• Big in Japan (Won’t proxy for Yahoo Auctions)
• From Japan

Again, be sure you thoroughly read through each sites proxy instructions.
7. I see a bunch of really cheap figures that ship from China on ebay. Are those okay to buy?
Generally, no. They’re most likely bootlegs. If you want a second opinion on that, feel free to ask in the Bootleg Megathread that’s always stickied at the top of the sub.
8. What’s a bootleg, and how can I avoid buying them?
A bootleg is a counterfeit figure often made using rejected molds of the official product. They are usually priced significantly lower than the genuine article, and in order to make their profit, bootleggers use lower quality materials and have less attention to detail- resulting in a substandard figure.
The Bootleg Megathread that I mentioned in question 7 is a great tool to avoid buying any bootlegs. It has a few tips and tricks to avoiding them to begin with, and a few more on how to spot them if you’re worried you might already own one.
9. Does anyone know when figure X is going to be released? How do I know if it was delayed?
My Figure Collection (sometimes referred to as MFC) does an excellent job of staying on top of information like release dates and delays. If you’re curious about an upcoming figures release date, check there first. This information can be found directly under the “Releases” section on a figure’s entry. If you only see a month and a year in that section, it means the release date has not yet been announced by the manufacturer, and there is still a chance the figure could be delayed.
If you make an account on MFC you can also subscribe to comments, changes, and pictures via a checkbox on the right hand side of a figure’s listing. Subscribing to any of these things will allow MFC to send you an email anytime the subscription in question updates. Subscribing to “changes” is a great way to keep up with release dates and delays, among other things.
10. The figure I want is long sold out at normal retailers! What’s the best place to pick it up in the aftermarket?
A list of reputable retailers can be found under the “Shops” section of the /AnimeFigures sidebar. They all sell legitimate products, and many of them also sell figures second hand. However, the most frequently suggested second hand sites are Mandarake and Amiami- who has a preowned section that they update every night save Sundays and Japanese holidays around 1PM JST and again around 6PM JST.
AmiAmi grades their pre-owned items on a letter scale. The general consensus from buyers is that their ratings are conservative, so unless the item and/or packaging is specifically indicated as having significant flaws, pre-owned items from them are usually in at least as good a condition as their rating suggests.
Note: When you search Mandarake, you’ll get the best results by using the Japanese characters for whatever you are searching. If you don’t know them, you can find them on MFC by clicking on any of the “details” in that figure’s listing.
11. Amiami has a figure I’m interested in labeled as “For sale in Japan only”. Does this mean I can’t order it without a proxy or forwarder?
No, you can still order it. Amiami’s English site has that warning on many items, and it’s mostly meant to inform you that this product was made for a Japanese market, and as such, will have Japanese speaking/writing in it- so don’t expect any instructions to be in English. If Amiami doesn’t want foreigners buying a certain product, they won’t even list it on their English site.

Displaying Your Figures

12. What display cases do you recommend?
If you live near an Ikea try out one of these:

• Detolf *
• Klingsbo
• Billy (Often used with Morliden doors and glass shelves.)

*If you decided on a Detolf, you might find that there is a lot of wasted space. Here are a few tutorials on raising the shelves or and adding extra ones in.

• Using metal clips
• Using acrylic supports and PVC pipe

If you don’t live near an Ikea, Amazon has a few display options, though they are more expensive. Also keep an eye on your local Craigslist (or your country’s equivalent) and stores near you that are closing up.
13. What lighting do you guys recommend?
Ikea’s Dioder LED strips were discontinued after a long run. A current version is the Vattensten, if you're inclined to buy your case and lights at the same time.
LED strips have become very commonly available in recent years; most hardware and home furnishing stores carry a selection now. Just make sure that the lights don’t get too hot!
14. What are those clear plastic boxes that I see under everyone’s figures in their collection posts, and where can I get them?
Those are called risers. Most of us use standard acrylic risers like these. Some other, easy to find things that have been suggested are:

• Plastic picture cubes
• Card Deck Boxes
• If you’re feeling adventurous, try making your own!

Check your local hobby store for the first 2 options, or your local hardware store if you want to make your own.
Another common suggestion is to visit The Container Store if you have one near you. They have a lot of things to choose from that can suit a variety of needs. Be sure to check out their standard acrylic risers, their Amac boxes, and the various display cases they sell (baseball cases, mini car cases. hockey puck cases, etc).
15. Should I keep my figures sealed?
That is, of course, up to you really, but here are a few things to keep in mind when debating this question:

• Keeping it sealed can actually damage your figure. PVC figures usually have something called plasticizer in them, and that plasticizer needs to be able to breath. If a PVC figure isn’t exposed to oxygen, after a period of time the plasticizer starts to break down and form a sticky substance on the surface of the figure. Simply opening your figures and taking them out of the box prevents this from happening. If you happen to find plasticizer goo on one of your figures, Kahotan has a handy guide for dealing with it.
• Unlike some other figure markets, keeping an anime figure sealed won’t raise its value by a whole lot. In fact, because of the plasticizer problem mentioned above, your figure could actually be in better condition if you open it versus keeping it sealed.

Finding the Right Figure(s) for You

16. What are "scales" and "prizes"? What is the difference between them?
Those are classifications for figures based on a few factors.

• "Prizes" are generally more simply produced figures which are intended to be given as prizes for playing arcade games such as claw machines. They are inexpensive and lack the detail of scale figures, though some prize figure lines have standouts which may approach lower-end scales in quality. That is uncommon and often depends on the individual figure.
• "Scales" are called such because they are nominally designed to be proportional to the dimensions of the character which they are based on. They are generally of much better manufacture and materials than prize figures, allowing for more detail in painting, accessories, or complex poses.
• "Trading" figures appear in gashapon machines or as blind boxes on shop counters, often as sets which include multiple characters. As suggested by the class name, the randomness encourages trading. They are usually very inexpensively-produced, though as with prizes, some series are better than others.
• "Non-scale" encompasses a variety of other categories. It is often used to encompass poseable figure lines such as figma (which actually do fit inside a broad scale classification) and Nendoroids.

In recent years producers such as Good Smile Company have attempted to further bridge the gap between prize quality and scales by introducing figure lines which are intended to be moderately-priced while retaining a higher level of detail than the typical prize figure.
17. There are so many figure companies! Who makes good figures?!
Obviously this is a very subjective question, but as a general starting point, here are a few well renowned figure companies:

• Alter
• Max Factory
• Good Smile Company
• Kotobukiya (usually hit or miss for people. Use your best judgement based off of the prototype)
• Flare
• Stronger

18. I really love “series X / character X”- how can I check if any figures were ever made for it?
My Figure Collection can be your best friend here. Simply do a search on the name of the series or character using the search bar located at the top right of the screen, and all associated figures pop up!
Alternatively, if you’re looking at a figure’s MFC entry, most of the text under the “Details” section can be clicked on and used to run a search.
19. How can I commission a custom figure?
None of the major figure companies (Alter, Kotobukiya, Good Smile Company, etc.) will take a commission for a single figure. This thread has a few websites in it that you can check out, or you can look into garage kits. Some kit painters would be willing to resculpt, frankenstein together, or otherwise modify kits for the right price.

Keeping Up with New Announcements

20. How can I keep up with figure news (announcements, updates, etc.)?
Most people use a MFC combined with any or all of the following news sites:

• Neko Magic
• Alter’s Blog (In Japanese)
• Kahotan’s Blog (Only GSC and their sister companies)

Many figure companies are active on Twitter, so following them there is recommended for quicker news.
To use MFC for this I’ll quote question #9.

21. Everyone’s excited about something called Wonfes….. what the heck is that?!
WonFes (short for Wonder Festival) is a biannual figure expo where many figure producers (both large and small) show off new sculpts and updates to figures already under way. Most companies save their most exciting announcements for WonFes, so we all look forward to the expo whenever it rolls around! Winter Wonder Festival is usually held in February, while Summer Wonder Festival is usually in July. The event has also spread to Shanghai, in the late spring.
22. One or two (or 15) figures were announced at WonFes that I’m really excited about! How can I keep track of their progress once the event is over?
MFC is always really quick about getting new WonFes announcements (or any others throughout the year, for that matter) listed in their database, so we suggest using that. To find a figure from the event you can search any number of things, including the name of the character or the name of the show. You can also use the tag search to search “WonderFestival 20xx_[season]” to see all items announced at that event.

So I’ve used this camera with sd card on and off for almost three years now and it’s worked great and the other day I bought a Cam Plus subscription for the first time.
I just checked my credit card and it was charged the $1.99 for the month and now it’s not recording longer than 12 seconds as advertised.
Everytime I mess with the app to try and fix it it says to purchase a Cam Plus subscription again. I click on it and then it says: “Whoops. Payment didn’t work” Wtf?? I already paid and it went through and it’s still not working.
Could someone please let me know how to reach support so I could get this working correctly?

I love FFG Star Wars game system. The narrative dice in this system have rejuvenated my love for gaming. So all know, I am not throwing shade at this system. Not by any means!
However, I am a long time veteran of the old West End Games D6 system and I loved the heck out of that system for decades.
One of the coolest aspects of WEG D6 was in their 2nd edition with “Character Points.” [Quick review for those who have forgotten or not familiar: Character Points were essentially experience points that could be spent like traditional XP points for raising skills. OR, a player could elect to BANK the Character Points and then use them in a following session for those ‘key critical MUST SUCCEED’ rolls. In that case, a player could look at unspent Character Points and tell the GM: “Hey, I really need to shoot that bounty hunter - if I don’t X, Y and Z will happen! So, I will throw 3 Character Points at this next Blaster skill check and hope I can beat the difficulty…”. Player gathers the dice for his Blaster skill and then ADDS ONE extra D6 for every Character Point he declared spending and rolls the whole mess of dice to see if he surpassed the difficulty…]
This was cool in that players could push their characters past their limits in a super-stressful situation / key moment in the game session.
It gave the players hope for success in near-impossible circumstances. It also gave the player a sense of affecting the story in a critical moment by choosing how to spend their game resources [the Character Points awarded as XP at the end of every session].
And, there was also the WEG D6 system’s approach to “Force Points.” You were given one at character creation and encouraged to spend that point in key moments to save the beautiful Princess, etc. And if the GM felt you were appropriately ‘heroic’, then you would likely get your Force Point BACK and likely a chance to earn an ADDITIONAL.
Anyways, with all of this floating in the back of my mind, I was reading the Force & Destiny Core Rulebook and was in the GM Chapter when I got to table 9.2 Common Conflict Point Penalties on page 324. And it got me thinking: “Makes sense to assign Conflict to PCs when they do bad things. But … what about when they do REALLY REALLY COOL HEROIC things…?!?!”
I know, I know. This is Star Wars. Of course they are doing COOL HEROIC things all the time! [Unless you are running a Dark Side / Imperial / ISB campaign - but that is a whole different thread…]
What about when a PC goes out of his way and risks his neck to save an NPC child from a band of ruthless slavers…? That is just part of the story, right? Right. But what if the GM rewarded that exceptional heroism…?
More XP? Sure. Cool gear? Sure. Those are all legit ways to reward cool role playing. But what about exceptional ‘heroism’…? And this doesn’t have to be limited to ‘Jedi-types’ but to any PC doing the cool, life-risking movie cinematic moments that make the stories so fun and so fulfilling to play.
What about rewarding that player with … a blue dice or three…? :)
That the player could “pool” and save on his character sheet to be spent in that NEXT key, MUST WIN moment…? JUST LIKE WEG D6 “character points” to be pulled out at that climactic “got to hit the evil Sith Lord” moment…?
Some say FFG already has this problem solved with the Destiny Points being flipped. Well….not always. I know I have spent a Destiny Point, rolled and still failed spectacularly. But, a few extra Blue Dice / Boost Dice could have changed the outcome for the better…
TL;DR Anyway, this was a thought I had: combining some of the Character Point mechanics from WEG D6 and trying them out in FFG Star Wars.

Okay, so idk what to do right now. I think I found a glitch in the matrix that sort of (but not really) gives me infinite money.
Allow me to explain.
The last two months I have paid my credit card bill on a different bank account than I normally would. I have two checking accounts with two different credit unions and I alternate which one I deposit my paychecks into since different bills are on different cards. Probably not the best way of doing things but that’s not the part of the story that I need advice on right now.
So, this last month I made a little more purchases on my credit card than usual, so I made a larger payment than usual. So I had been waiting a few days to see the payment reflect in my account….no dice. Payment gets posted on my credit account. Still no withdrawal. Been over a week at this point, I’ve forgotten about it.
Flash forward to now. Today. Present. Looking at paying the next bill, but wait, which account do I use? Well, let’s just check the one you used last time. Take a peak at the balance.
Well, that’s strange. More money than I figured (I don’t know why I’ve switched narrative perspective like this but it’s too late to go back now). Wonder why that is.
Couldn’t find the unusually large payment in my account history. My credit card says I paid and the balance reflects the payment. I actually don’t have a debit for the other months payment either!!! Nothing. Not a dime. But my credit account has posted the payments received.
The fuck do I do? Can I just keep paying and hoping they never catch wise? Surely not right? But I definitely don’t bring it to anyone’s attention right? These are billion dollar credit card companies we’re talking, the right thing to do is whatever helps me most. Help?

Intergalactic Journal of Biology and Medicine
Humans have one of the most resilient digestive tracts in the known universe. As an Omnivorous predatory species, humans are capable of digesting muscle, fat, carbohydrates (simple and complex), proteins and fibers, taking many nutrients and extreme energy from them. Their use of carbs gives us an explanation as to why humans are so powerful, because they require a lot of energy to use their bodies. Additionally, the stomach acid of a human is capable of digesting, non-food items though no nutrients can be pulled from it.
Generally speaking, the rule is that if you can eat it, a human can eat it, though, whether it is to their taste or not is questionable.
Furthermore, the human body reactively ejects toxic substances once detected, so within reason, humans are capable of trying many foods without the negative consequences many of us would associate with sticking foreign substances in our mouth.

The Galactic Assemblies intergalactic summit was held, on what was Earth time, November 5th, 4022. All members of the GA council were expected to attend, or at least a representative for every species in the known universe. At this time that would include the Rundi, Gibb, Tesraki, Bran, Vrul, Drev, etc. but worst of all… the humans.
The Rundi steward, a class of government official, who was specifically tasked with dealing with the drudgery of bureaucracy, was not pleased in the slightest. It was primarily his job to put everything together, and depending on how well he did, it could either make or break him in social hierarchy of his species. The Rundi were a primarily governmental planet, everything they did was based upon a structure of hierarchy and rule. Government was the greatest form of service, and Anarchy wasn't even an afterthought in philosophical debate.
The Rundi were not capable of anarchy.
It was a planet of politicians in some form or another, every interaction had political underleanings, and their speech was always heavily guarded. For this reason, the Rundi had been the first in suggesting an intergalactic system of government. The Tesraki had agreed only upon realizing they would be tasked with overseeing economics, but had benefited from the Rundi system of government, seeing as they tended a bit towards social anarchy, a thought that the Rundi had seen as horribly barbaric, especially since their system was based primarily on the equal distribution of goods to support government structure.
The Vrul had only agreed to join based on their own personal interest in survival.
Generally, they wanted nothing to do with intergalactic politics and would have been happy to maintain their own peaceful homeworld, but the introduction of other species into the galaxy had offered a great threat to them, and they had decided, out of necessity, to join the GA as being friends with the other species was in their own self-interest. In turn that had meant sending their very, very skilled workers to help the rest of the galaxy, and that included their scientists and their doctors, and their mechanics.
And then of course there was the issue of the Drev and the humans, both scarily similar in social hierarchy and temperament. The Drev were warlike, and honor bound, but once choosing a leader, they had been surprisingly willing to join in, as long as they were given the opportunity to participate in any and all armed conflict that happened to take place across the galaxy.
The humans...
The humans were another story.
There was no one characteristic that helped to identify their motivations. The humans themselves were well versed in war, politics, economics, and science, but they did everything to the extreme.
Where the Drev practiced war for honor, when humans waged war, they did it to kill, while the Rundi maintained government and played games within their own circles, the humans played against each other, often mixing war and government into one. Their economic practices varied widely, but their current system played for keeps and focused on the greatest accumulation of wealth possible far beyond what the Tesraki did.
Then when it came to science, they never considered WHETHER they should do something, but only if they COULD do something.
And now here the steward was forced into the position of setting up this summit for all the different types of species. The catering alone had been a complete nightmare, and he had been forced to ship different sorts of food for thousands of miles, in order to feed everyone in the proper manner. There were some species he did not have to worry about, like the Vrul, who were more plant based and so did not eat, but there were others, and that included the Rundi and the Tesraki, who had a very strict diet consisting of only very specific foods to eat. He found that he could tack the Drev onto some other species, seeing as their bodies were capable of metabolizing almost any plant as long as it retained a similar structure to human plants and fruit.
However, the humans themselves were the hardest part, because the range of food was so wide, he could hardly determine what was going to work and what was going to be a massive disaster. He honestly didn't know, different sources said different things, and he couldn't bear to think about putting MEAT on the table... That was just against his constitutions.
In fact, he was scrambling right up until the council had convened for the evening, and the mass tide of bodies came pouring into the room, filling the vaulted ceiling with ruckus chatter in dozens of different languages.
He could hear the humans coming a mile off.
The humans and the Rundi had a similar register when it came to hearing, and humans were known to be able to mimic Rundi vocalizations to some degree, simply because they generally tended to communicate in deep grunts, hums and guttural vocalizations. The humans, well their language was just as varied as their culture, clicking, hissing, snapping, humming and grunting filling the air with discordant and somehow, rhythmic quality.
Their presence turned heads.
They walked with the Drev delegation, which was no surprise to anyone. The humans had been unable to send their usual representative due to a social disagreement between earth and its neighboring sister, Mars.
So who had they gone and sent?

They had sent…
THEM...
The Rundi Steward knew all about them... Crewmembers of the legendary UNSC Stabby, the widest ranging vessel in the entire galaxy, and home to a crew that was indisputably certifiable.
They were the most reckless, most dangerous, and most terrifying amalgamation of creatures in the galaxy, somehow including one Drev, and a rather out of place Vrul whose behavior suggested he had caught whatever brain malady had overcome the humans, and was just as insane as they were.
He cringed horrifically at the sight of them.
Humans were a destructive force, and were known to cause chaos and mayhem wherever they went, even at the best of times, so this was bound to get interesting.
The delegates were seated, and the steward welcomed them with gracious words of introduction he had spent months preparing. It was a very political thing for him to do, and included subtle compliments to all delegations involved, laid down some ground rules but made sure not to undermine the authority of the people he was speaking to.
However, to the humans, the attempt was obviously heavy-handed brown nosing, though none of the other delegations seemed to notice.
He invited them in for refreshments and encouraged discussion between the parties.
Of course, the humans weren't exactly ones to pass up the idea of food and were some of the first to the table examining the contents with great interest, even the food that was not theirs. They seemed very amused, watching the other delegations pick up their specific food and then move away to sit.
"What is this?”
One of the humans commented, holding up a rather stringy green tube that wriggled and squirmed in his hand,
"Are these worms?"
One of the Tesraki looked over,
"No, it's a Cavestalk, a kind of plant. Probably not to your taste, they are known to be poisonous to other species. In other words, not human food."
The human raised an eyebrow,
"Buddy, humans are the sharks... Or wait... Maybe that's the goats of the universe, we can eat anything within reason, and even a couple of things outside of reason if given enough time."
The Tesraki made a sort of shrug and wave with its large ears and then walked away. The steward watched the humans with a worried expression. It wouldn't do to allow the humans to make themselves sick on his watch, but it seemed as if that idea was only becoming more and more likely as the humans poked and prodded at the leftovers of other species, hardly bothering with the food that had been laid out for them... Mostly strange fibrous plant materials.
And that is when it came,
"I dare you to eat it."
The two humans locked eyes, one still holding the wriggling Cavestalk,
"What?”
"I said, I dare you to eat it."
The human stuck out his chin at the other human in a primitive position of posturing,
"How much do I get if I do?”
There was a moment of thought before,
"Twenty credits. I'll give you twenty credits to eat it."
"What happens if it poisons me?"
There was a hand wave,
"We have a doctor on board, he can just pump your stomach.... Chicken."
”Oh you did not just fucking back to the future me did you? How DARE you!”
”Trying to change the subject chicken?”
A moment of silence passed between them, and the Rundi steward began moving towards them to stop something horrible he felt was about to happen.
He wasn't fast enough.
Before he knew it, the human had thrown back his head and dropped the wriggly green thing into his mouth, swallowing it whole, like an alligator or a snake would.
People around looked on in somewhat fascinated disgust as the predator's throat bobbed and he smacked his lips making a face,
"Eh, I can still feel it moving.... Eh."
He paused,
"Though, taste wise it isn't so bad, kind of like a wiggly asparagus."
After a moment his eyes narrowed, and he smacked his lips again,
"Spicy asparagus, uh, that's really really weird."
He reached the table, just as the Vrul came running up, shoulders squared in a very un-Vrul way,
"HE LITERALLY JUST SAID IT WAS POISONOUS TO OTHER SPECIES, AND NOW YOU'RE EATING IT! AND YOU OVER THERE!"
A human looked up at him, from where it had been prodding the Drev coiltree berries,
"GET THOSE OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!"
”But Kriiillllll….”
”What did I say young man!?”
They had attracted the attention of some of the closer tables now, who were looking on in entertained confusion and worry.
A human waved a hand,
"It's alright Doc, we have you don't we?"
"I AM NOT THE MAGIC CURE FOR NEUROTOXIN!!!”
Another shrug,
”Well it's a good thing that I'll throw up before anything really bad happens."
The Rundi steward tried to intervene as the humans began prodding through the other food,
"Drev can eat human fruit, so I bet these things are like fruit…”
One of them pointed out, popping the berries into his mouth and chewing with a contemplative look on his face,
"Not bad."
"Please, please, if you would remain within your own food groups."
The Rundi begged. He was now realizing he should have written up some legal documents to avoid litigation if the humans were to be damaged on their property, but now was too late.
A human waved him off,
"Don't worry, everyone else is done eating, besides…"
He Pointed towards the human food,
"That's literally a pile of lettuce, I am a man, not a horse."
"Horses don't eat lettuce, also that's not lettuce, it's spinach."
”POtato, potAto…”
Another human piped up, prodding at a strange squishy red ball, sloshing with a strange pink nectar,
"This looks like candy."
"Please don't put that in your mouth human.”
The humans swarmed away from the two dissenting voices. One of them picked up the strange pink orb and licked it. Its eyes lit up and it bit into the piece wiping pink juice from its face as it did,
"Ok, this, this is good 10/10 would try again."
And that only caused all the other humans to move over to try one.
"I SAID GET THAT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!"
The Vrul demanded. The Rundi steward looked on in horror and worry. Vrul didn't behave that way, everything here was just wrong.
A blue Drev joined the party just then, pointing to the pink orb,
"I love those, but you should definitely try these too."
"No, no they should not!"
He was ignored, and the humans scooted over to look. It was a strange spiral plant in a light-yellow color that made a distinctive crunching sound as the humans bit down. They shrugged,
"Sort of just like space celery if you ask me."
Did these creatures have no sense of self-preservation!?
A group had gathered around the table, strangely amused at the humans, who just ate... Everything.
The Rundi steward almost keeled over, watching his future go down the drain as other species began offering humans food. Whatever it was, they seemed unable to resist putting it in their mouths. A human made a face, spitting something back out into his hand,
"Ax bleh, tastes like Satan's feet."
"Quick question. When was the last time you licked Satan's feet?”
"The last time I was at your mom's house."
”OOOOOOOOOOOHHHH!”
The humans made strange noises at each other, as the Rundi stepped in and began grabbing things from the humans, only to find the Vrul to be doing the same,
"Stop it! Stop it all of you!"
The human's paused, as did the other delegates in surprise.
"STOP PUTTING THINGS IN YOUR MOUTH THAT YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE."
”But its fun!”
”Fun my ass. I swear if one of you gets food poisoning I’ll put you under house arrest for at least a week!”
”But Kriiilllll….”
”No but! Now behave and put the things back! No one eats anything they don’t know.”
”…”
”…”
The intervening silence was broken as one of the humans loudly crunched on one of the pink orbs.
Everyone turned to look at her and she just glanced around the group.
"What? That’s my second one, I know them now…"
She wondered past a mouth full of food. If the Rundi steward could have a panic attack, he would have had one then.
”Please, this is all dangerous! There is a reason every species has its own food!”
A human waved a hand at him,
"Keep your shorts on, we promise you won't get in trouble if one of us dies."
The Rundi stared on incredulous.
They were going to kill themselves, they were really going to kill themselves.
Maybe it was best if he resigned before being fired, at least he would be able to keep his dignity

So I just bought a ALFA AWUS036ACH and wanted to start hacking my own network. However I got this issue with airgeddon. Monitor mode isnt supported it claims, but using airmon-ng and Fern worked fine. My chipset is REALTEK8812au. How do I fix this? Thank you for your help.

(Disclaimer) I understand the moral implications of not paying, but I’m purely asking from a legal standpoint what my requirements are.
In mid-February I purchased two sort of large items (think, furniture) from an online retailer. The items were scheduled to be delivered early/mid March, and were.
Around the time of the shipping notification going out (end of Feb/beginning of March) I did see the pending transaction on my card and everything seemed normal. My items arrived and I didn’t think to check my statement or anything, figured I was all set (though I was/am debating returning one under their return policy).
Today, about 3 weeks after the items were delivered, I get a fraud alert text message from my credit card, asking if I made an $xxx charge to {same store} on {today’s date} reply 1 for yes and 2 for no. Me, worrying that there was a scam charge happening as I obviously didn’t purchase that today, I hit no.
I then go check my statement as the fraud alert recommends to, to look for other fraud charges — and that’s when I realize looking back through my statement that the charge never actually went through last month. I think they had the pending up for too long before shipping that it didn’t go through? I don’t really know, something got bungled and I was never fully charged.
I just now got an email from the retailer saying:

We see that your order has been shipped, but we noticed you haven’t paid for it yet. Unfortunately, there was an issue when processing your credit card, either due to the card’s expiration date or the card’s credit limit and the payment didn’t go through properly.

(All of that’s false, for what it’s worth, card is fine, and it’s completely impossible I was at my limit, but they likely can’t issue the charge because it’s been flagged as fraud because I didn’t purchase it today…)

We understand any hesitancy in giving out your payment information and are committed to keeping your information secure.

Not much confidence on that one.
I understand from a moral standpoint it’s pretty shitty to not pay for items I intended to — but from a legal standpoint, what am I obligated to do? Could I technically just keep the items without paying? Do I have to give out my payment information if they mishandled the transaction on their end? Will they try to come after me for the charge some other way?

FYI, this is a story COLLECTION. Lots of standalones technically. So, you can basically start to read at any chapter, no pre-read of the other chapters needed technically (other than maybe getting better descriptions of characters than: Adam Vir=human, Krill=antlike alien, Sunny=tall alien, Conn=telepathic alien). The numbers are (mostly) only for organization of posts and continuity.

Humans have one of the most resilient digestive tracts in the known universe. As an Omnivorous predatory species, humans are capable of digesting muscle, fat, carbohydrates (simple and complex), proteins and fibers, taking many nutrients and extreme energy from them. Their use of carbs gives us an explanation as to why humans are so powerful, because they require a lot of energy to use their bodies. Additionally, the stomach acid of a human is capable of digesting, non-food items though no nutrients can be pulled from it.
Generally speaking, the rule is that if you can eat it, a human can eat it, though, whether it is to their taste or not is questionable.
Furthermore, the human body reactively ejects toxic substances once detected, so within reason, humans are capable of trying many foods without the negative consequences many of us would associate with sticking foreign substances in our mouth.

The Galactic Assemblies intergalactic summit was held, on what was Earth time, November 5th, 4022. All members of the GA council were expected to attend, or at least a representative for every species in the known universe. At this time that would include the Rundi, Gibb, Tesraki, Bran, Vrul, Drev, etc. but worst of all… the humans.
The Rundi steward, a class of government official, who was specifically tasked with dealing with the drudgery of bureaucracy, was not pleased in the slightest. It was primarily his job to put everything together, and depending on how well he did, it could either make or break him in social hierarchy of his species. The Rundi were a primarily governmental planet, everything they did was based upon a structure of hierarchy and rule. Government was the greatest form of service, and Anarchy wasn't even an afterthought in philosophical debate.
The Rundi were not capable of anarchy.
It was a planet of politicians in some form or another, every interaction had political underleanings, and their speech was always heavily guarded. For this reason, the Rundi had been the first in suggesting an intergalactic system of government. The Tesraki had agreed only upon realizing they would be tasked with overseeing economics, but had benefited from the Rundi system of government, seeing as they tended a bit towards social anarchy, a thought that the Rundi had seen as horribly barbaric, especially since their system was based primarily on the equal distribution of goods to support government structure.
The Vrul had only agreed to join based on their own personal interest in survival.
Generally, they wanted nothing to do with intergalactic politics and would have been happy to maintain their own peaceful homeworld, but the introduction of other species into the galaxy had offered a great threat to them, and they had decided, out of necessity, to join the GA as being friends with the other species was in their own self-interest. In turn that had meant sending their very, very skilled workers to help the rest of the galaxy, and that included their scientists and their doctors, and their mechanics.
And then of course there was the issue of the Drev and the humans, both scarily similar in social hierarchy and temperament. The Drev were warlike, and honor bound, but once choosing a leader, they had been surprisingly willing to join in, as long as they were given the opportunity to participate in any and all armed conflict that happened to take place across the galaxy.
The humans...
The humans were another story.
There was no one characteristic that helped to identify their motivations. The humans themselves were well versed in war, politics, economics, and science, but they did everything to the extreme.
Where the Drev practiced war for honor, when humans waged war, they did it to kill, while the Rundi maintained government and played games within their own circles, the humans played against each other, often mixing war and government into one. Their economic practices varied widely, but their current system played for keeps and focused on the greatest accumulation of wealth possible far beyond what the Tesraki did.
Then when it came to science, they never considered WHETHER they should do something, but only if they COULD do something.
And now here the steward was forced into the position of setting up this summit for all the different types of species. The catering alone had been a complete nightmare, and he had been forced to ship different sorts of food for thousands of miles, in order to feed everyone in the proper manner. There were some species he did not have to worry about, like the Vrul, who were more plant based and so did not eat, but there were others, and that included the Rundi and the Tesraki, who had a very strict diet consisting of only very specific foods to eat. He found that he could tack the Drev onto some other species, seeing as their bodies were capable of metabolizing almost any plant as long as it retained a similar structure to human plants and fruit.
However, the humans themselves were the hardest part, because the range of food was so wide, he could hardly determine what was going to work and what was going to be a massive disaster. He honestly didn't know, different sources said different things, and he couldn't bear to think about putting MEAT on the table... That was just against his constitutions.
In fact, he was scrambling right up until the council had convened for the evening, and the mass tide of bodies came pouring into the room, filling the vaulted ceiling with ruckus chatter in dozens of different languages.
He could hear the humans coming a mile off.
The humans and the Rundi had a similar register when it came to hearing, and humans were known to be able to mimic Rundi vocalizations to some degree, simply because they generally tended to communicate in deep grunts, hums and guttural vocalizations. The humans, well their language was just as varied as their culture, clicking, hissing, snapping, humming and grunting filling the air with discordant and somehow, rhythmic quality.
Their presence turned heads.
They walked with the Drev delegation, which was no surprise to anyone. The humans had been unable to send their usual representative due to a social disagreement between earth and its neighboring sister, Mars.
So who had they gone and sent?

Obviously, I have Charlie’s permission to post this and for the people already knowing the stories, or starting to read them: If you follow the link and check out the story you will see some differences. I made some small (non-artistic) changes, mainly correcting writing mistakes, pronoun correction and some small additional info here and there of things which were not thought of/forgotten or even were added/changed in later stories (like the “USS->UNSC” prefix of Stabby, Chalar=/->Sunny etc). As well as some "biggemajor" changes in descriptions and info’s for the same stringency/continuity reason. That can be explained by the story collection being, well a story collection at the start with many standalone-stories just starring the same people, but later on it gets more to a stringent storyline with backstories and throwbacks. (For example Adam Vir has some HEAVY scars over his body, following his bones, which were not really talked about up till half the collection, where it says it covers his whole body and you find out via backflash that he had them the whole time and how he got them, they just weren't mentioned before. However, I would think a doctor would at least see these scars before that, especially since he gets analyzed, treated and goes shirtless/in T-shirts in some stories). So TLDR: Writing and some descriptions are slightly changed, with full OK from the author, since he himself did not bother to correct these things before.

This week, I have one new variety to announce that everyone has been asking about lately: JACK FROST SWABS! This is a true albino variety, so not usually in syringe form. The spores are clear, but bruising is still present on the swab tips, giving them a blueish tint. I only have a small handful but hope to get more in stock soon!
