2023.05.29 20:30 AutoModerator [May 29, 2023] - Weekly lost, found, or need a new home thread
Use this post to share any budgies that are lost, found, or need a new home!
Some rules:
- Only share information you feel comfortable sharing. Example: rather than giving out your full address, maybe only say something like, "I'm in the Tampa Bay Area" instead. If someone is interested in knowing more, they can always DM you and you can choose whether or not you want to share any more information.
- If you're meeting someone in real life, follow the "Craigslist rule" of meeting in a well-trafficked, public place.
- No fees/charges! This is not meant to be an advertising platform to sell your budgies. Content that advertises budgies for sale will be removed.
- This subreddit does not, in any way, offer warrantees or guarantees of budgie health. A budgie's health status is something that you and the other party should determine with an avian vet, and payment of that avian vet's services is something that you and the other party should decide beforehand.
- We encourage you to share pictures! Just make sure they accurate to the situation and don't break the rules in the sidebar.
Remember: this subreddit is just one of many possible places to make a budgie connection. Also consider FaceBook, Craigslist, Nextdoor, other online communities, as well as real-life bulletin boards in public places.

2023.04.22 00:21 EpicVlogger Unquie Crossroads question.
So long story short Im currently 38 and I have been into IT since Windows 3.1 messing around in Middle-school playing Wheel of Future on floppy lol, I've been doing computer repair and pen-testing since Windows 98 / Redhat / Debian days as well as setting up IRCd networks and grey hat hacking endeavors. So I started my own side business off Craigslist using their free advertising in early 2010 built a good size client list and basically never needed ANY type of certs or degree because there was never a need for me too honestly. So recently I got awarded a grant that will pay up to $15k for certs or further education in any other field. So I decided to look around on IT certs and have the opportunity for this program to pay for my CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+, and CompTIA Security + my question to you all is if I wanted to get out of doing my own thing which I have a lot of overhead like travel, answering phone calls and doing quotes over the phone nonstop. If I wanted to get out of client-based IT and work for a company doing IT do you think these certs would help me in achieving my goal of getting my foot in the door with my background? I am open-minded and would like to hear anyone's logical opinion on this thanks.
On a side note, I'm in the St. Petersburg / Tampa area demographically and I'm not sure how well the IT job market is around here considering all the gloom I've been reading surrounding the current IT job atmosphere stateside.
