I am a movie addict but not in like a film buff way i just like to watch tons of movies. i enjoy pretty much every genre except maybe horror but that’s debatable. one of my favorite movies is kick-ass, don’t ask why because i don’t know. a movies that i saw recently and enjoyed was bullet train.

I watch a lot of youtube in my free time but i usually just use it as background noise. my favorite youtube channel of all time is probably Funhaus and a lot of my humor comes from them, also i always like watching general sam especially his podcast, i’ve only seen a few that i didn’t really like.
I spend way too much time on social media, mainly tiktok, i don’t really post though just scroll.
I enjoy video games but the only game i really play consistently is destiny 2. im totally up for other games if you have suggestions though!

Hey guys, i wanted to download video from my subscribed member before the plan expires, so i searched everywhere and found nothing, no IDM worked, no Inspect element worked, not even searching in the code for .mp4, VOD, or Vimeo worked.
you see i am not expert on the coding n data but i see there while playing the videos i see data transfer in chunks coming to my ip and then there was no way to find it. you can't even download these videos with Patreon downloader or any other proxy settings. damn that was a hard thing.
so i came across a really old post on here and just gave it a final shot. remember our good old Jdownloader ?
so there is one important thing about this process which isnt mentioned in the earlier post. you need to install a plugin which the Jdownloader prompts i.e. FFmpeg , the setup will prompt to update/install this. so install and restart the jdownloader.
and when it is done you will find the add link option and add selected video or patreon page there.
on clicking on continue it will analyse the webpage and in the Link Grabber tab, select the videos sort option and wait for it to grab the videos of your favorite creator or video links. and then download it..

Tiktok: Changes Affecting Creators & Advertisers

Tiktok made major changes to its platform. With the launch of their new creator fund “creativity program beta”. They have encouraged the top 4% of creators to push more long-form content.
And this push is also delivering results for Top Advertisers in the space. This fund was launched alongside a new Tiktok Ad format, PulsePremiere. These Ads currently in beta are shown after a trending piece of content.
For Music Marketers & Artists, Tiktok launched #newmusic to support upcoming artists.
And after that boom, we got smashed with the TikTok US state ban in Montana. There is a huge controversy around it but this news isn’t affecting marketing spend.

Tiktok’s Ad platform and creator marketplace are getting better. The updates aren’t public. I have tracked a few cheeky practices from the Tiktok product team to gather more user data and better their Ad platform. Expect better location-based targeting in the upcoming few months.
For organic, With the new creator fund. Many long-form content creators are seeing an engagement hike for their content. You can experiment with long-form content as a business to connect longer with the audience.
And a nice sign is TikTok is now pushing more content from “people you follow” to the For You page. As mentioned in my Tiktok marketing post, this is something new and encouraging for brands.
Upcoming: Tiktok is testing an AI Chatbot similar to snapchat. This launch will help them keep users more engaged.

Pinterest: Affecting Organic Content

In April, Pinterest got into huge issues with user safety on the platform because many users were targeting young audiences. After that Pinterest made a few changes and at the beginning of May, launched their transparency report showcasing how they are filtering harmful content.
A great callout here is “Gen-Z is on Pinterest”. Every single platform mentions that they have Gen-Z users on their apps to attract advertisers. But data from different research shows that Pinterest has a growing Gen-Z user base, especially for diverse and Female audiences.

First of all, how the Pinterest algorithm ranks content is very simple and it's all based on user interactivity.

This affects niches like Beauty, Fashion, and other lifestyle-related brands. Don’t try to sell the idea of clear skin or a perfect body shape. Pinterest is looking to provide a better and healthy space for young audiences.
The second change is “keyword search”. In the blog post, there are mentions that the algorithm will try to show more of the content that includes identical keywords & sentence structure to “user search queries”. To promote more relevancy and better content to users.

Twitter: Regaining Advertiser Trust & Bots

With the new Twitter CEO coming in, One of the Top Advertisers mentioned their comeback to advertise on the Bird app. But mid-micro advertisers are still not loving the Ad platform.
Besides advertising, Twitter continues to launch new services and features for Blue subscribers. And decreasing creator monetization requirements, increasing the video upload limit to 2 hours. The other focus is on attracting more advertisers to the platform.
A lot going on forTwitter. But the biggest issue is that Bot spam is at its peak, removing bots was one of the biggest promises made by ElonMusk. Still not delivered.
I have my fingers crossed for June.
Execution Considerations:
Twitter is getting better at recommending relevant tweets under the original tweets you read. And as you know it is mentioned on Github that the Twitter connection network plays a huge role in getting content discovered.
I recommend refining your network and networking with the right audiences. Kinda old advice but the platform is testing new prompts related to this. That is why you should click on it.

Believe it or not. Meta is moving fast with Instagram now. Tiktok announced their search ads will roll out slowly to marketers, and last week Meta came in clutch and announced “Instagram search Ads”. You can access them through the Instagram marketing API. Link!
Besides that Instagram made a huge spark as the information about a new Twitter viral came up. Meta is expected to launch a new decentralized Twitter-like app for their users in June. Many are excited about it. It could be a great opportunity for businesses as many find IG very hard to scale.
Decentralized means your followers can follow you on the new app with one click. This app can help you reach more existing followers on IG & FB.
Other than these two, there was a list of updates including a new creator fund announcement. But not much impacting your organic growth.

PPC: New Policies Kicking In

Meta: Data Limitations & AI for Marketers

Meta is stuck. Yes, because they have developed one of the best AI languages and structures to benefit marketers. For example, this new engineering blog showcasing its new AI content structure is golden. Link!
At the same time, Meta is having huge issues in the EU & UK with their data usage. The platform Received a $1.2B fine and now UK representatives are limiting data usage for Meta. Good for privacy but points to a huge problem for paid media marketers.
Meaning Meta’s future is bright due to AI research & frameworks but data issues are like close friends showing up every single day.

With multiple announcements, Google search page structure & how content is ranked will be changing. The new interface is expected to prefer AI-generated results but for June. After doing $40B in revenue last year. The platform announced new Ad formats at IAB Newsfront. With the launch of 30-second unskippable Ads on Connected TV.
Where Youtube is headed with Unskippable Ads is the future of online movie & content streaming. Either platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and other services have to give up a share of revenue. Or they need to go back to unskippable Connected TV Ads format to pay the writers.
Coming back to Youtube, Every week on their “creator insider” channel they announce various new updates. The highlight was the recent update of community post creation for all users.
Partnering with Influencers and using community posts to target core audiences is one of the best strategies based on this new update.

I can buy a used, unlocked US version (G025J) Pixel 4a in good condition for ~110€ from US eBay (trustworthy seller). There's only 2 Pixel 4a's in my country for sale with broken screens, so buying from US is my only option. I've checked the differences between US and EU versions regarding network compatibility, and it seems that US version should work fine because it is only missing one 4G band (32), which isn't used in my country anyway. I would also like to replace the battery with iFixit full kit (~55€ shipped), while it is still available for purchase. I have done a couple of phone repairs in the past, so I'm confident in doing it myself.
So, all in all, the phone would cost me ~165€ total. My budget is 150-200€. I've checked what new phone I could get for that price in my country, and the options are disappointing. All of the phones are 6.3" - 6.7", with 4/64 GB and worse CPUs. The only viable option could be Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S with 6/128 GB configuration, but it costs ~230€ and its CPU performance is more or less the same as 4a. I could also maybe consider Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 4/128 GB variant which is ~190€ here, but it has less RAM, worse CPU than 4a, and no 60FPS video.
I would consider a used Pixel 6A, but I rarely see it go below 250€ here, and, what's more, I wouldn't be able to use 5G, since my country is not in Google's 5G Europe whitelist.
If I were to get 4a, I would try to keep it for 1,5 - 2 years. I know that 4a is approaching 3 years already, and it won't get security updates anymore soon, but I'm not too concerned about the updates, because, as I mentioned, I don't do banking on my phone, and I only use a couple of apps which all come from Google Play Store. I'm more concerned about the hardware going bad.

This may be long and rambling please bear with me.
So I was raised in a low-income household where my mother was the only one who worked, and my father was always in and out of jobs. For years, I couldn't even describe to my peers what he did when I was asked as kids always do and that is a point of shame for me to this day. We lived in a tiny house and had to cram ourselves in the small space and as years went on the lack of privacy (especially as a teen) felt horrible. My formative years were filled with feelings of guilt as being the last one I had it in my mind that my birth was somehow the reason our family became poor because this was implied by my mother many times when she would point out how they lost everything immediately I was born.
Being such a small space, we heard every single argument my parents had, and many times were dragged into them where it would be one of those "see what your other parent is acting". For as long as I remember my mother always felt the need to use us (the kids) as her emotional support, I was literally 6 years old when I was asking her to consider divorce and worried about her emotional wellbeing. We had to from a young age worry about money because she would sit us down and complain to us about how she didn't have any, how worried she was, and we've missed school because of lack of tuition many times over the years. All this was happening from when I was around 4 and I can't say I've gone a day in my life without ever worrying about money. I was diagnosed with clinical anxiety and complex PTSD and at the time all my mother could do was ask me "why?" and question me when I went to get a new dose. I have to add that these emotional dumps were only subjected to my sister and I. The favoritism with the boys has always been so evident and in many ways to this day she expects us to cater to them like; she does things like only remember their birthdays and text us to ask if we talked to them and wished them happy birthday, expect us to bring them food from the kitchen when they're around, make us call them for her when she hasn't spoken to them to get us to find out if they're okay...etc
My father in all this is absent because that's just who he was as a person. He has never taken responsibility for his role as a parent because any time we would do something like give him a reminder of bills, he would get agitated and tell us to not question his authority. I have zero emotional connection to him anymore because of some very traumatic situations he put us through when we were younger.
My current situation is that I still live at home, I contribute to some bills and buy food (I think it's worth noting in my culture this is common even past college years). I think for the longest time I've tried to convince myself that it wasn't that bad but there was incident last year that happened with my male sibling that my parents basically expected me to not react to him harassing me and threatening to beat me up and told me to be understanding of him and even got mad when I contacted the police because I feared for my life (story for another day). This I think was my breaking point of not being bothered by it all anymore and when I realized I will never get what I need from these people.

I baked myself a cake and lit myself some candles for the fun of it. I made myself a nice dinner and called it a day. I decided that I was going to start my new year by taking care of myself and giving myself all the things, I have hoped over the years others would give me. She's always prided herself as someone who is low maintenance and when she sees me putting on a face mask or makeup, she constantly makes comments and digs about how I'm prideful and should just be "plain like her". I think she means this is jest but it's become difficult for me to separate the comments from my personal reasons for self-care and it feels like a personal attack to me. I've been doing small things like buying myself a casserole dish because I love oven meals and even a salad bowl because I'm getting into fitness. All these have been met with remarks of "I'm spending money unnecessarily". These things make me happy and that's all I want to be. I've tried buying her flowers to try and brighten up the room, but she basically told me that I should have given her the money I spent instead. I feel like I now have to hide stuff from her; purchase receipts, new items that I bought and even the food packaging when I order takeout.
I don't want to nor am I planning on giving up the things that make me happy, but I feel sad that after all these years, I seem to be constantly putting more effort to form a connection with her that she probably is interested. I'm honestly just emotionally drained and exhausted from everything and wish it wasn't this way as I have come to the understanding that maybe I actually have never fully experienced having parents that don't view you as a financial drain.
Maybe I'm just overly emotional and overreacting, I don't know, but I felt like I had to get that off my chest.
ETA: I'm planning to move out, but I don't feel mentally prepared to be in a space alone and I also feel guilty about leaving her.
