Honda dealers in illinois

Looking for seatbelt extenders for the back seat in my 08 to help my kids buckle in their own booster seats.
Called all of the Honda Dealerships in my area today and they acted like they’d never heard of such a thing. I’ve bought two sets for Toyotas and the dealer there knew exactly what I was talking about.
What gives?
I’ve done some searching but everything that comes up is like “wesellgoodseatbelts.biz” and shit. I have no idea what’s legit and what’s good quality.

I have an interview next week for a Parts Advisor position at a Mazda dealer. I've never worked in the automotive industry, and my technical knowledge of cars is somewhat limited. I am pretty passionate about motorsports though so it's a field I am interested in.
I am currently a sales person/inventory/merchandizer at a computer hardware store. I've worked a couple other sales jobs in the past too working with Oracle based sales systems. I feel like if I can learn the inner workings of computer components, cars should be no harder.

This is my first year growing poppies and I have had some setbacks. I live in Illinois, started them indoors, had about 15 that reached the cabbage stage, and now I only have about six left. I have a friend the same age as me (born 2007) who I’ve known for a few years. When we first met they were energetic, nice, comforting, respectful and seemed passionate about things they cared about. They weren’t the best student but they were an average student who went to class regularly. At the end of 7th grade they got a partner who was a drug dealer and started smoking a lot of weed, which is not at all legal where i live. I personally didn’t have a problem with it because i am actually pro-weed i guess you could say. Though i support the legalisation of weed i myself do not want to take any form of drugs. At first it started with weed but it kept going and in the end they ended up taking many other drugs like LSD, Cocain and other things i don’t remember the names of. During that time their personality started slowly changing and at one point i too tried smoking weed because i felt like i had to if i wanted to continue being their friend and for them to wanna hangout with me. It got a little better when they broke up with their partner and they were sober for multiple months and they seemed happier. But then 6-8 months ago they started taking drugs, smoking and drinking again. Their parents found out and they have to take drug tests but they drink some vitamin C thing which makes the test say negative. They aren’t doing many hard drugs but they smoke a lotttt of weed and like before, that’s become the only thing they can see and care about. They even stopped going to school and are failing most if their classes. Their personality has done a whole 180.
Anytime we meet they don’t care about anything. When i talk about any topic that isn’t drugs,alcohol, parties or cigarettes they seem annoyed and like they truly don’t give a fuck about me. Sometimes they have bursts of anger about something i say and it’s so unlike the person i befriended in 7th grade. The more i met them the worse i started to feel about myself and i started doing things to please them. I didn’t feel like their friend, i felt like a problem. I come from a bad household and due to me trying to commit suicide, i had to see a therapist and was diagnosed with depression at just 12 years old. I also got diagnosed with autism and adhd so i got adhd meds. When my friend found out they begged me to give them some of my medication but on that i stood my ground and refused, which they were mad about. It kept going on like that and at one point i was crying myself to sleep often because i felt so bad about who i was, my personality, the way i talked, my looks, my interests, my opinions, my dream work and just so much more. And it was all due to my friend who would put me down and almost judge me instead of supporting me. Once again i felt like i needed to change myself in order to please them. So i started smoking weed with them because those were the only moments they seemed happy to have me around. Eventually i realised it wasn’t who i am and 2-3 months ago i started distancing myself from that friend. (It wasn’t even difficult because for the last 2 years i was the only one starting conversations, supporting them and the only one asking to meet. So all i had to do was to not be the one initiating contact. And voila, silence.) And the first month i felt absolutely horrible and lonely but these 2 months after that, oh my god. My self esteem has gone thru the roof and i am so much happier and just, i feel lighter(?). Like something thats been weighing me down for so long has been lifted off my shoulders. I can finally say “I like myself.” and actually mean it.
The problem is i feel guilty like, leaving my “friend” behind. I don’t know if their change in personality is because of the substances they take or due to just growing up and changing. They still live a relatively okay life with a home, money, many other friends who all also take different substances, but it’s just not the same person with the same values that i knew for those first few years. The one i used to know treated people nicely, with respect and with decency. I want to help them realise they might be going down the wrong road. But at the same time i want to put me and my physical and mental health first, which I haven’t done in a long time. I haven’t felt this happy about myself or, anything, since i was a young kid and I don’t want to go back. Am i in the wrong for not continuing the friendship and for not continuing trying to help them?

Getting a car In Illinois and going back to Oregon. The car currently has expired plates. The Oregon DMV website just loops you around a couple different pages and all the forms to renew this stuff requires a box that says “current Oregon plate #” How do I go about legally driving it home and transferring all that? Do I need temporary Illinois plates?

I passed my exam about 3 weeks ago and my school never taught me how to obtain my license. I live in the state of Illinois for context. I have a job interview soon and they asked about my license and I thought I applied for it when I applied for the nbcot come to realization I didn’t. Now the license application is asking for an official transcript and taking longer than expected. What other documents do I need to get license and how do I speed up the process?

I was driving up Spring Garden towards Market Street when I noticed a car had been tailing me. I obviously didn’t wanna assume that was the case so I switched lanes, as did they. I did that about 5 more times, as did they. At that point I’m starting to get uncomfortable. When I get to the Market light, I look behind me and it’s a mid 2000’s Honda accord. Didn’t look like an undercover cop which made it even more uncomfortable.
I proceeded down Muir’s Chapel with the person still on me. I took a right onto Friendly and remained in the left lane knowing the first right I’d be able to turn to I’d do so, but wanted to throw them off. Thankfully the road was empty so I quickly turned right into the first neighborhood and looked in my rear view. This person was still behind me!! I made it to the other side (thankfully wasn’t a dead end) and go back onto Muir’s Chapel then right back onto Friendly and sped off. Thankfully I lost them. I reviewed me dash cam after to see if maybe perhaps I’d accidentally cut someone off or did something to irritate them. There was nothing. Awful experience. I intend to buy Kia and signed and agreement back in February with 8 months lead time. With every update from the dealer, my confidence in getting the car on time is fading away. Has anyone intended to buy a new car recently? What are the lead times in the market?

I've been wanting to upgrade my airsoft setup by purchasing a new gun. I for sure know that I want a Scar H, but I'm really split between whether I want it to be one of the gas powered models, or electric. I've never owned or even shot a GBBR, so this would be my first experience with one. My other gun is an AEG Aug-A3 which runs pretty well. The pros to me getting a GBBR is the ease of disassembly, as I already field strip and clean my own real steal guns, the real selling point for me is realism and coolness factor, I already like the realism, or attempt to be realistic, in my play style, and I think having the realistic magazine capacity, sound, and recoil to the gun will make it even more enjoyable, and my friends that I play with will think it's awesome. The downsides are that magazines and gas are more expensive than maybe a new battery and magazines for an electric gun. Another downside, and the true reason I can't make the decision is that I play in Central Illinois, the winters get very cold, and for a good part of fall and spring too. It also rains all the time, so temperatures drop and fluctuate a lot. I've heard that GBBR don't work below about 30-40 Fahrenheit. My worry is spending all this money on a gun I've been dreaming of having, and having an awesome time with it for like 6-7 months out of the year, but for the late fall, winter, and early spring, or whenever the temperature significantly drops from rain, it has to stay in the closet. I also don't know if the FPS would be too high for most fields if I start going to some. The temperature problem is my only real kicker to purchasing my first GBBR, because I'd like to play with it as much as I could. Any advice, and if you have any recommendations for any AEG or GBB Scars, I'd appreciate that too!

Hi, I would like everyone's opinion on buying a Cat S Honda Civic Type R GT FK2 edition, there is one advertised which I think looks really nice and is within my budget. The garage has sent me pictures of the damage before it was repaired, it appears to have been in a collision resulting in the front end being bashed in significantly, but the garage has confirmed it is back to superb condition and runs great with no faults etc.
These models usually go for £20k+ so to find this one at £15k seems like a bargain even with the Cat S.

Hi, I did a part exchange last year and due to reasons I already sold the car again. The new buyer showed me that the car had been in a small accident. I wasn’t aware of this but once he showed me it was very obvious.
I went back to looking at pictures from when I bought the car from the dealer (very big name btw). Turns out the damage was already there and clearly visible. It had been partly painted over.
I sent them a really friendly message and their reply was upsetting to say the least. Super unfriendly. I would have let it go but getting such an unfriendly response I want to follow up on this.
I feel that they tricked me. I can see the damage on the picture that I took back then. So I was able to see it when purchasing but frankly I know nothing about cars and trusted the big name. In General i found out that they left out a big chunk of truth. I had a good experience with my first car with them.
Is there anything I can do about it? I sold the car at a loss of 20% (drove 9k miles). The new buyer lowered their offer by 5% after seeing the damage. I would like to be reimbursed for that. This is London.

Hey all,
Looking for some expert advice. I’ve got a lead on a 2015 Toyota Highlander V6 AWD. 40k miles total. It’s last oil change was at 32k miles in 2018 at a Toyota dealer. (I’ve verified with owner this was the last oil change.)
It’s been driven very little. I’m unsure if trips were over the magical 10mi to burn of moisture.
Would the fact that the oil is 5 years old scare you off personally from buying this vehicle?
I may be able to get it for 1-3k under current dealer market price (which isn’t saying much in these times)
I’ve read a little about old oil and with the increase in acidity I’m worried about seals, gaskets etc. this generation of Highlander is notorious for oil leaks, this one appears to not suffer from this yet. Worried that actually driving the thing regularly with the combo of the old oil sitting could speed up this issue.

2023 Specialized Turbo Vado SL 5.0. Their size M is fit for a rider around 5'4" to 5'10". Standard brushed silver color. Asking $4000.
This bike is effectively new. I purchased it new in November, and very shortly thereafter I suffered a neck and back injury that kept me from being able to cycle until just recently. Once I was able to, I took this bike out for a few short rides, and realized that I just do not find the upright position comfortable. It felt just fine to me when I test-rode one at the dealer prior to my injury, but for longer actual rides, I just feel far more comfortable on a road/gravel style bike. Big whoops.
While not truly "new" in the strictest sense, it has only 29.97 miles on it. Battery health is 100%, and I deliberately have NOT left it plugged in to the charger, in order to keep from running unnecessary current through the battery. It's been ridden a grand total of twice, on side streets.
The bike will include the installed Salsa side-entry bottle cages and, if you want it, an Oveja Negra half frame bag that fits perfectly. Also included are all original retail accessories: the charger, manual and other documentation (in their pouch thing), and the extra Future Shock 1.5 springs, to adjust damping to your preferences.
$4000 gets you a bike that is -- for all intents and purposes -- new, beyond what amounts to my long test ride. That gets you a discount of about $850 off retail, accounting for their typical sale price ($4500) and California retail sales tax (about $350). Seems like a pretty good deal to me! Naturally, I'm well outside of my retailer's return/exchange window, so I'm looking to sell private-party so that I can turn this around for a Turbo Creo or something similar.

Hello. I’m interested in buying a 2016 Honda Accord with about 130k miles on it. The asking price is 12,990 and I’ve got a 2007 Honda SE (it’s got a V6) I’m hoping to trade in for about 1200 dollars. I’m going to finance through my bank. How would you suggest haggling the price down to maybe someone around 11,900 or 12k? This is my first time buying a car from a dealership, and I’m worried about being exploited.
