Service industry workers across the US rely on tips to earn a living. The fair labor standards act established that business could reduce the pay of tipped workers to only $2.13 per hour if they earn more than $30 per month in tips. That’s abhorrent in our current economy.
Lets put aside existing local or state laws increasing minimum wage and think about the concept of tipping in general.
These tipping rules basically say that a business doesn’t have to pay a worker because their customers are paying the worker.
Now that tipping has become even more prevalent, existing not just for direct service but also indirect transactions like pickup at a coffee shop, corporate America is earning even more money while the already struggling working American suffers even more. Add to that the fact that standard tip expectation used to be 15% and now is 20%, and the future looks grim and unaffordable.
I am sick of rising prices and more expectation to tip workers. Big businesses cannot keep getting away with dumping the cost of everything on customers. We’re going broke.
*note: I do tip, I just think it’s an incredibly broken system. I try to eat at home when I can avoid businesses where I’m expected to do so.

He struggles with work anyway as he has chronic fatigue, works 5am-5pm, is prone to depression, and travels for 2 hours there and back. This week he is doing overtime (only Thursday left, not Friday) and leaves at 5am but doesn't get home until 9pm. His body aches so he gets in, eats, showers and then we lay in bed watching whatever he wants. Thankfully he is definitely relaxed doing so. I massaged him last night but I want to do more for him. Even if it is just on the weekend I would like to spoil him a little.
I've offered to uber eats him lunch at work so he can nap on his breaks and not go out to buy it. I make sure I am there to cuddle him to sleep. I tidy his room so he has a nice environment to come back to. He's happy and his mental health this week has been better than we anticipated. He doesn't need me to do anything but I would like to show my appreciation and love for him, if anything. We are going out this weekend shopping and for a meal, as we didn't last week for our 6 months. I can treat him to any clothes he likes or pay for our meal.
TLDR how would you like to be treated after a tough week at work? Are there big or small gestures that make you feel loved or appreciated?

When Does the Scream VI Movie Come Out?

Scream VI officially hits theaters on March 10, 2023. But you can catch early screenings as soon as Thursday, March 9.
Following its release in theaters, the film will be available to stream on Paramount Plus. Expect the movie to hit the streamer 45 days after its theatrical run, which should be sometime in April. it's most likely that Paramount Plus will be the main platform that will stream Scream VI.

Will Scream VI be on Netflix?

No, Scream VI will not be available on Netflix — at least not anytime soon, since it will be heading straight to Peacock after its theatrical release. In the meantime, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available on the NBCUniversal-owned streaming platform.

No, Scream VI will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Warner Bros. movie. While the company previously released its movies on HBO Max and in theaters on the same day, they have since stopped and have implemented a 45-day window between the theatrical release and streaming release.

At the time of writing, there is no official streaming release date for Scream VI. However, if we look back at the gap between Scream (2022) hitting movie theaters, before becoming available to stream on Paramount Plus, we can make some guesses as to when it will be up for streaming.

Scream (2022) was released on January 14, before arriving on Paramount Plus on March 8. This means there were 53 days between the big screen release, and the streaming release. The film was also available to buy digitally a week before it landed on Paramount Plus, on March 1. With that in mind, we can expect Scream VI to be available to stream on Paramount Plus around May 2, 2023.

Paramount Pictures has said in the past, however, that most of their films will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount Plus after a 45-day theatrical window. If this is the case for Scream VI, it may arrive earlier than expected, on or around April 24, 2023.

Amazon Prime Video subscribers might be disappointed because ‘Scream VI’ is not a part of the streaming giant’s library. Alternatively, you have the option to turn to similar films using your subscription, including ‘Smile,' 'Bram Stoker's Dracula,' 'Let the Right One In.’

The bad news is that the movie is not likely to come to Prime Video. Paramount Pictures movies used to head to Amazon Prime Video about a year after the theatrical release, but that’s changed with a lot of movies recently. Instead of heading to Prime Video, they’ve gone to Paramount+.

Viewers are saying that they want to view the new movie Scream VI on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

My family and I will be making our second pilgrimage to Maui in May. We will be basing out of north Kihei.
I'm looking for some recommendations on lower-impact activities as we will be with some less able-bodied family members. My wife is arranging a tour of a local plantation where we can ride a golf cart around and sample some locally grown deliciousness. I found a link to the Snorkel Report and some very accommodating snorkeling enterprises on a recent post, and will definitely reach out to those groups. I also plan to sneak off at some point to get a proper surfing lesson, if anyone knows someone who knows someone who does great lessons, I'd love to get their contact information.
We spent most of our last experience exploring the western half of the island. We didn't do any exploring of the greater Kahului or Haiku-Makawao-Kula-Keokea-Makena areas so those areas are definitely getting prioritized this time around. The Road to Hana could potentially be a thing, though it's a lot of sitting after a very long plane flight so any decisions to take that journey will have to be in the moment.
Cultural enrichment resources would be great. Anywhere we can chill and learn about Hawaiian history and culture would be ideal. We did a luau last time, which was breath-taking, but there were aspects of it that made me so profoundly sad that I don't think I would want to repeat the experience.
On that note, we did a fair bit of window shopping during our last experience and after a bit we noticed that like 90% of the souvenir shops all sell pretty much the same stuff, the same carved Maui faces, the same coconut jewelry, the same printed tee shirts, like some kinda Pepe Silva souvenir cartel. We would just park near commercial areas and walk up and down the roads and check out shops, perhaps we ended up in the wrong places? The craft fair in Lahaina, plus the skate shop and the weekend craft fair in Kihei next to the McDonald's, and that farmer's market + juice booth on the road to Lahaina from Kihei were the sorts of environments that really resonated with us. If there are more of those sorts of things which potentially funnel more money into the pockets of smaller scale locals, I'd love to gain more awareness of them. Shops, restaurants, services, anything.

My name is Matt and I'm seeking a brave adventurer to start a D&D 5e pen and paper game set in my homebrew world of Urth during the weekend! In this game I've challenged myself to use as few online resources as possible to create the world and adventure. I've managed to find 3 other party member's already, and wish to hold a session 0 with you. As a bit of background on myself, I'm a happily married 28 year old man, living on the West Coast of the US; I've played in 4 campaigns spanning over the past 6 years or so, both D&D 5e and Pathfinder, online and in person and have DM'd 2 one shots on roll20. I understand if you are cautious as to my lack of DMing experience but I'm a dedicated, stable, and consistent person who strives to deliver a quality product to my future friends. :)
To start off the Adventure I'd like to have you create a character over a session 0, where I'll give details about Urth and you should feel free to create world elements of your own to fit a backstory for your player character. I encourage everyone to be open with most aspects of their character to foster excitement but I also see the value in keeping some parts of your characters past a mystery as well.
The Game will be played on the Saturday mornings/Afternoon as we do have an established first session on April 22nd 10:30 PST during 5+ hour sessions in a Monthly to 3 week (possibly 2 week) frequency depending on scheduling issues as everyone of has a life outside of the game. We will begin at 3rd level as you are a semi experienced adventurer in your own rite and end the campagin around roughly level 17 to 20. The only restrictions that I'm imposing for narrative reasons are specific races, I will list them below for you to decide if you are willing to make a character and play in the campaign. In addition homebrew subclasses are an option but we'll only be using any of the 14 available classes in the D&D sourcebooks. The Races have been changed in both historical description and theme so please keep that in mind, so as to not create a full fledged character before hand.

I intend for this to be a pen and paper game, however I will not limit you if you wish to use resources like D&D beyond and the like. Hello everyone, I'm just trying to vent for a little bit. All my life, I have always been an afterthought, I'm not the to go to person for anyone else. I have friends at school, but even though all my attempts at being there for them and getting more personal with them, I am not the first person they pick when they have a chance, for example, when we're with other people, I stop existing for them. I see around my classmates and I notice certain things, how among them they're friendly, chatty and outgoing. I am personally not quiet myself, but even though I speak about different topics and I try to be nice, I still don't see people getting closer to me, such as; sitting close to me, handshaking with me when they see me or waiting for me before heading to another class. No one has me in consideration. I feel like an outsider, even though I am not.
On one opportunity, I tried to get close to a classmate, I offered to take him home, instead of having to take the bus to get there. Unfortunately, it failed, I tried asking him to hang out and stuff and he refused each time. It was unfortunate and I felt a little bit used because I was clear withhim that I was looking for friends.
To wrap this up, at this point I have accepted that I don't cause people to naturally like me or love me and it's probably gonna be like for the rest of my life and that's pretty sad, I know. All I wish is that someday I get to grow close with someone, be that in real life or online so I can stop remarking these kind of things and stop feeling bad about it. Thanks for listening to me. what store can cut new community mailbox keys? just went to home depot and they couldn’t do it

We’ve had our rescue for about 9 months. She’s had tons of training and is a cool dog. She has terrible separation anxiety and cannot be crated. (We’ve tried training for months) she’ll literally break teeth to get out. And has gone through three crates. I had to quit my job recently because she does lots of damage. Our landlord did an annual inspection and he said we need to find her a new home by the end of the month. We have hundreds In damages at this point. The contract for the rescue states she must be returned and a not be adopted to a third party, however we have to wait until a foster is available to take her. I’ve been calling them for weeks and emailing with no response so I finally went down there. They suggested I try to put her on Craigslist, they said they can’t take her because they already have too many dogs and are receiving even more soon, they literally just keep dogs coming. They suggested I go to the adoption days to help find her a home, which I’ve been doing. But the month is almost up and I’m going to lose my house if I don’t act quick. My husband really wants to just drop her off at the rescue and have them handle it as their contract states. I’ve already had to put my job and hold I can’t lose my home too, but they keep giving me the run around and I’m a passive person so it doesn’t help. They just keep suggesting for me to try new things. I’ve literally tried everything including medication for her, I cannot afford to send her to daycare everyday, plus we’re already past that because we don’t have a choice anymore. Even our online profile for her through the agency states that she’s marked as “returned”. Can we leave her with the rescue?

My fiancée and I are going to be first time home owners and we're currently shopping lenders, one of the lenders I've spoken to mentioned that once we close we should apply for homestead exemption.
It wasn't super clear in my googling, but wanted to ask, if we apply for homestead exemption while unmarried, is the exemption going to be less? We do intend to get married soon so I can get on my fiancée's medical insurance, so we're open to doing so earlier if it'll net us less taxes as well through homestead exemption.
Also our close date would be early May, I read on a good portion of the sites I've seen that there's a deadline of 4/30? But some other websites state that I can apply any time of the year?

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and I've been looking at bassinets online and in shop for months but I never know if I can actually trust the reviews or websites that talk about them, I get so nervous I'm going to buy one that's built cheap and possibly breaks and hurts my bubs, I was wondering if other parents can recommed ones they've used that are definitely safe for newborns, I mostly like the ones where I can move my baby next to my bed when needed. :)

Arcade games: Perhaps players could visit arcades in the game world and play classic arcade games like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, or Street Fighter. These could be fully playable games within the game, with leaderboards and prizes for high scores.

This was the opening speech to your induction just over a year ago with your fellow group of "adventurers" as they put them, although most view you as nothing more as mercenaries. Your current job is to find a stolen scroll that the guild requires to fill in their tax returns for the year. Although not glamorous, the pay is considerably high., almost suspiciously high. The scroll has been tracked into a cave south of the city, which is where we find ourselves setting off for this adventure.
