A big part of the reason why I woke up, outside just not being fully indoctrinated you may say, was due to an experience I had with another girl in the hall I used to go to. She was a few years older than me and I knew her my entire childhood, but things started to get weird around the time I moved back to that hall around 12. She wasn’t exactly a model Christian either and she admitted she liked a boy - it started out as me and her giggling & laughing over a boy but then I started to suggest I help her make this boy like me (I was TWELVE and these two were highschool age) and I had also experienced CSA before hand so this was normalized in my head. It ended up in me sexually talking to this highschool boy and she did nothing to protest, one thing lead to another and this boy had sexual feelings towards me and not once did she see it as wrong. The other instance was essentially helping me, and another girl my age, to self harm with her. She would talk about the subject with the both of us and even exchanged objects so we could continue to SH. She was caught for this and the family I was living with got pissed at her and her mom n basically told them to stay away from me. My memory is fuzzy on this but never were the elders informed of this and I grew afraid of her for a very long time. Eventually I find out she’s getting baptized- she moved on from her past self and now nobody knows what she did to me and potentially other people. I’ve always felt conflicted on how to feel about this- was I groomed? Abused? Or exploited??

I finally got to the point where I can admit that I have a problem. I‘m just afraid that tomorrow, when I‘m not hungover anymore, that this whole new mindset disappears again. I want to change & I‘m ready. Just don‘t know if I‘m strong enough to keep the promises I make to myself.
So… how to continue from here?

So I have inherited a website to maintain. The website is a company website, with some static pages, blogs, event pages, same content localized to 5 languages, so nothing crazy. It is built with Gatsby.js and backed by Strapi headless CMS. I'm more familiar with SPAs, so static generated sites are a bit new to me. So the current workflow is that the marketing team makes modifications in Strapi, then pushes a release button, that starts a CI/CD pipeline that builds the gatsby site and deploys it (either to test env, or prod).
The first problem is that is takes quite a while to build & deploy the gatsby page so the "development cycle" is too long, the time between modifying strapi and seeing it in action.
The second problem is that the gatsby build is quite fragile, and fails often (which is probably a problem of the codebase itself, not the framework). For example if some fields are not filled in in strapi or something like that currently can brake the build. My intuition would be that a bad strapi config should not be able to brake the site build.
I can put in the work to make it more resilient, but when the build do fails, it is not quite transparent to the marketing team what caused the problem. Like there is an error in the build log somewhere, that a developer can find, but the people from the marketing team just see that something failed, and have to ask a dev(me) what happened and why. Is there a best practice how to handle error in gatsby and provide some feedback to the people using the Strapi CMS?

So what do you think I could do to make the content management process more fluent? What is the best practice here?
Also I've been looking and Webflow, which _in theory_ could provide some benefits, like visual editing, built in CMS, so it might be a good fit, instead of the current Gatsby+Strapi combo, but I'm kind of afraid of no-code tools as they often come with limitations not visible at first. And it would also mean some work to put the content there.

this is just a sad little rant. so, i work in DFW & the surrounding areas as an EMT. i’ve seen people die, all of which were old. & while i have done CPR on children, they always survived.
i got a GSW & CPR-in-progress call at 3am. considering CPR was in progress, i expected the wound to be at least semi non fatal. upon arrival, PD was doing compressions. upon getting a closer look, the dude was very much dead. there was a lot of blood ofc & his eyes were left open. he was my age. it is very different watching an older person die vs watching a new adult cease to exist. it’s like i saw his entire future vanish into the cool night sky.
to add to that, there were 4 police vehicles on scene when i arrived… yet none of them had even started to secure the suburban home or surrounding area. they didnt know where the shooter went! my crew was afraid for our lives. all i could think after we decided not to work on him was “WHAT IF IM NEXT”

I want to open this thread to talk about experiences in the hopes to gather some data. I’ll try to flesh out my thoughts as best I can. I’ll keep updating this thread as I find my notes. I apologize in advance if I don’t use all the lingo. I’m writing from personal xp.
I’m fairly passionate about this. I haven’t voluntarily induced an OBE since I focused on my financial thread. It is rare, nowadays, but when it happens I take note.

Healing naps are as they sound. - I first noticed it when I got the flu for the 1st time. I’d fall asleep & wake up feeling refreshed. I wanted to see if I could recreate it. Every time I’d feel exhausted or sick I’d set a timer & see how long the process was from the moment I closed my eyes to the moment I healed. The feeling that came right before waking up was an intense shaking wave, almost orgasmic without the head buzz. - Time is roughly 12 minutes. I think it’d be difficult to recreate without ever xp similar. It feels similar to hard OBE phase.
Let’s talk different types of transitions. - A hard shift is in 3 steps, sleep paralysis, ringing, & body tremors. - An attentive shift is when you use tricks (rope, falling) to dive into an OBE. - An involuntary shift is when you’re just pulled into the astral realm. - A smooth shift is when you’re tuned in to frequency by practice. - A transitional shift is when you’re either in a lucid dream or sleep paralysis & you shift into a conscious state of an OBE.
Lucid Dreams are a great way to shift as a beginner. - The key here is pattern breakers. People that are highly observant or OCD (old me) have an easier time. - Becoming hyper-self aware is ridiculously helpful not only for OBE, but building & reworking negative habits. Highly recommend The Power of Habits. In the book they speak about focusing on the routine, but in this case just focus on the cues/triggers that lead to the habit.
An Outsider’s Perspective - My immediate family has experienced some sort of sleep paralysis & early hard shifts. - My mom told me a story about my rich (3rd+) uncle that got silenced (killed) & deemed a quack for studying alchemy (which if you don’t know astral projection is pooled in). Why I mention this? I forgot my point, but I’ll be back to edit later ;). - Anyway, everyone is afraid of the unknown. - My gf told me I physically shake when I’m hard shifting or in paralysis. She’s had to shake me hard for me to snap out. I can feel her & I’m aware of what’s happening during sleep paralysis
Sleep Paralysis - Talked to a neurosurgeon I met selling newspaper. Invited me in for coffee late night. Kind of sketch situation, but I was curious. Said one working theory is back in hunter gatherer days it was caused to keep us active in case of a predator. Something about sleeping in trees…
Past Life Memories - Fire truck bed at age 3? Set repeated traumatic dreams. Each night it would grow more vivid. I burned a life trying to save a woman. Seem to be intimate, wife? Never wanted to sleep in it again.
Spinal Fluid - When neck is tilted to a certain angle & I fall asleep I lose all mobility. Harder to snap out of Sleep paralysis.
Earliest XP - Have been aware since crib. Memories nowadays fade, but can recall when months old. Seen & heard some creepy things like XP chest sitting demon before could read. No collusions from lore or other stories. - Could understand babies “telepathically.” Or just a creepy child that could hyper analyze everyone & “read their thoughts.” Creepy child because one particular time I noticed: I ran into a stranger & asked if we knew each other or if my uncle. I knew everything about him, kids, names, job all in the form of a casual conversation. Ex. So how’s Jenny!?
Frequencies - Experiment with binaural beats. Caused paralysis. Later read Ray gun was made from nazis. Make people sick. Organs explode. Don’t know if it’s wise to post these data points. I’d have to look for them anyway.
Kundalini - Did a no bater mater challenge as a teen. Always been big on extreme challenges. Would wake up messy at first. Did 9m-1yr? Kept dreaming of a woman that would shape shift into tempting women. I wouldn’t bite until I saw the woman from “past life memories” it’s like I forgot everything about myself. Kissed me & got down to business. I snapped back realizing what was happening. Body got wrapped, she turned into a snake, then whole spine tense & stretch like squeezing energy out. Woke up extremely groggy, exhausted, & no mess. Later read my story resembles a succubus.
Drug XP - First weed high I could read minds again. Hard Hallucinations.
The Drip - Got a “mild concussion” long boarding. Wheel bite or something whammed back of my head. Went numb & blacked out briefly. Would t be able to tell. For time context friend went all the way home & came back & I was barely managing to get up. Couldn’t feel anything. Hard to move. Slurred speech. Repeating. Hardest I’ve been hit. OCD gone, just out of habit. Caused a shift in a lot of things both great & bad. Didn’t need to be perfect anymore. Harder to shift. Everything feels fake sometimes.

Let me start by saying that I don't think there's (really) a bad guy here. Maybe a sneaky trick, but I don't even know that for sure. I would just like some extra eyes on the situation, in case someone else has an idea how I can get myself out of this.
THE CAST OF CHARACTERS:
Me (54F): I have always been very introverted & do not make friends easily. I am FRIENDLY with a lot of people, but when it comes to good friends I usually only have 1 at a time. IF that. I have very low self-esteem which makes it very hard for me to accept compliments or talk about myself, but I'm working on it. My 2 boys participate in a sport, and I have been a ref for almost 8 years. I love this sport and so do my boys. It's pretty much the only thing I do for myself, and I love it. I have several casual friends within the (very small) reffing community, and I usually hear that they enjoy working with me, I am knowledgeable about the different roles, and I have also been asked to train new refs. I have been told, "Great! YOU'RE here! Now I KNOW things will go well!" All of this makes me feel good, as who doesn't like the praise of their peers? I take pride in doing the job well and I like knowing my reputation is a good one within the community. This is the main part of the problem I'm having.
A (49F): My best friend. She also has boys who play this sport & she refs (5 years) as well. She only works part-time so has more time to dedicate to the sport & has been a head ref at some games and has even run some tournaments. (I'm not jealous - She's phenomenal at it, SO detail oriented, and these are both things I do not want to do, as I don't want the responsibility of the WHOLE game/tourney being on my shoulders.) A also has a great reputation among other refs. She's a wonderful asset for the sport.
B (late 40s F) & C (late 40s M): A married couple of refs. They have no children. Their reputation is fantastic - They have been refs for over 10 years and really know their stuff. They have even been involved in creating certification testing for refs. They are also known for being arrogant and mean: Arrogant I can see, but it's well deserved. Again, they really know their stuff. As for mean. . . not really. They are just direct & that can be intimidating to some. Which is also where some of the "arrogant" idea comes from, too, I believe.
ON TO THE PROBLEM:
We have many games that take place in a large city, where B & C live, about 1 1/2 hours away from where A & I live. We do not only ref when our children are playing, and we would usually get a hotel for tourneys. B & C have become quite close with A, and suggested that we just stay with them on these trips. They even let us stay when they aren't participating in the tourney. At first it was fine, but I noticed that B & C do not speak to me unless I speak to them first. It's the same at events; they don't talk to me unless I speak first. This is not the case with other refs. They are very outgoing & verbal with others, but not me. I thought it could be just because they didn't know me well, but as time's gone on it hasn't gotten better. I asked A privately if I'd upset them somehow and she said there's no problem at all, and they like me fine.
There have also been other signs: There have been 3 tourneys in the last year where there were 2 or more crews staffed - At all 3 I was on a different crew than all 3 of them, including some other refs we call "our crew". I can only imagine how it wouldn't be that hard for B or C to make a request of the scheduler. There was also a time when C either 1) played a mean trick on me or 2) deliberately tried to humiliate me. (Not to go too far into it, but he ended up tricking me into paying for materials that are free for refs, I just didn't know it.) I never received an explanation or an apology. And recently they (A, B, & C) signed up for an out of state tourney & didn't even ask me to go. It's like it wasn't even an option for me to go. I can only assume I wasn't wanted. And yes, that hurts.
Nothing has really changed between me and A, but because of all of this I've gotten the very strong vibe that B & C don't really like me, they only tolerate me because of A. That makes it so I no longer want to stay in their home for tourneys. I feel that I do not need to take advantage of their hospitality when I'm SURE they don't want me there.
Basically, my problem goes back to my reputation. Right now I have a pretty good one with people in the sport. I can't see a way to stop staying at B & C's without explaining why - And I'm afraid explaining why will make me look like a pathetic little girl whining about how "They don't like me!!!" Then I stamp my widdle foot and storm away. Not a good look.
However, I don't see it as whining, I see it as a point of maturity - They don't want me there, so I really want to take the high road and not "force" my company on them. I'd rather pay for a room than stay there & have them bitch about it later, even if its just between themselves. The ideal situation would be that I just stop staying there and no one says anything about it, but what are the chances of THAT?
Also, I'll admit, when word about it gets out - and it WILL, small reffing community - I'll never know for sure if I've been invited somewhere because I'm actually wanted, or because I'm being pitied. At that point I may as well just quit reffing, because I'll end up driving myself bananas over it.
To some extent I do feel stupid for worrying about how this will impact my reputation. I'm 54 years old, so I KNOW how pathetic I look. But this sport is really all I have. I do this, and I go to work, and I'm a mom. That's it.

Human Dave pulls up his holo-display, and starts walking off towards the cargo hold.
PR: "Wouldn't he be better served trying to fix the damage sustained by the ship?"
AC: "If we are as doomed as we believe, then it is simply a matter of time before the Voidborn devours us. He is spending his remaining time with the Aflarrians so that they do not pass alone and afraid."

HD, into his holo-display: "Hey, Mum. Sorry I don't call as often as I should. I do miss you guys, and I was hoping to swing by with Captain again. I know we were planning a little outing with the hybrids, but I'm in a bit of a bind here.
It's pretty bad, and I don't know if we'll make it, but I can always hope that we'll pull off a miracle of some kind.

The ship shakes violently, as what feels like a massive gust of wind slams into the side of the ship.
Human Dave quickly puts the Aflarrians back into their box, and rushes back to the bridge of the ship.
As Human Dave enters, he sees a new addition to the viewscreen.
A colossal creature takes up most of the screen; black-and-white scales covering the body of the creature, massive claws adorning its hands, a large crown of horns jutting from its head and the end of its tail, and its vaguely lizard-like features are dwarfed by the pair of large leathery wings which span longer that the stellar nursery they had run from.
HD: "IS THAT A FUCKING DRAGON?!"
Captain and Reeda are both startled by Human Dave's voice; having had their attention completely focused on the viewscreen.
AC: "HUMAN DAVE, IS THAT WHAT A DRAGON IS?!"
HD: "It looks like one?"
The dragon roars at the Voidborn, and somehow, the sound of its roar reverberates throughout the ship, despite being in a vacuum.
Everyone on board covers their ears, or their equivalents, at the ungodly volume of the roar.
The Voidborn flinches at the sound, and waves its tentacles menacingly at the dragon.
The dragon's wings begin to glow a pale yellow as it rears it head, and unleashes a blast of pure energy at the Voidborn.
AC: "WHAT THE FUCK IS IT DOING?! THE VOIDBORN WILL NOT BE HARMED BY ENERGY! IT WILL ONLY FEED ON IT!"
The energy blast collides with the Voidborn, and begins to push it back, before it starts feeding on it.
The energy blast continues for far longer than anyone expected, and the Voidborn begins to change colour.
Its many-tentacled body begins to turn dark, and starts to turn to dust, as the sheer amount of energy it devoured was too much for its body to contain.
The dragon reaches for the ship, and cradles it near its body, wrapping its limbs and wings around it, as the energy reaches its apex and detonates.
...
After what seems like ages and mere moments all at once, the dragon releases the ship and leans down to fix its gaze into the primary viewport of the ship.
The comms blare for a moment as words are translated.
Stellar Dragon: "Are you guys okay? When I heard your distress signal, I got here as fast as I could."
AC, PR, & HD: "..."
SD: "Hello? Can you guys hear me?"
HD: "We hear you."
SD: "Oh, thank God. I was worried that the energy detonation fried everyone on board."
AC: "Who are you? What are you?"
SD: "Oh! Of course! I'm a idiot. It's just that it's been quite some time since I had anyone to speak to, and I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Drakonis, a Stellar Dragon; first of my kind, but I used to be from a race called humans."
Both Captain and Reeda turn to look at Human Dave, shock appearing on both their faces, which is mirrored by Human Dave.
HD: "You're human? Wait. ARE YOU THAT GUY THAT TRIED TO MAKE HIMSELF INTO A DRAGON ALL THOSE YEARS AGO?!"
SD: "You've heard of me?"
HD: "ONLY BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW IF YOU WERE ACTUALLY REAL!"
SD: "Well, here I am. In the flesh, so to speak."
HD: "NO FUCKING SHIT!"
SD: "Well, if you guys are all good, I'm going to go find a nice stellar nursery to have a nap. It's always nice and cosy sleeping there. I think there was one somewhere around here?"
PR: "We passed one a while back. If you follow our engine trail, you should find it."
SD: "Oh? Thank you very much. I'll head there now. Good luck out here!"
The Stellar Dragon flaps its wings, and flies back the way the ship had come from.
AC, PR, & HD: "..."
Alien Doctor: "Is everything alright now? Quartermaster is complaining that the cargo is all over the place."
AC: "Yes, Doctor. Everything is alright now. I will ask Human Dave to help with sorting everything back into its proper place."
AD: "Thank you, Captain."
Captain gives Human Dave a meaningful look.
HD: "Alright, alright, I'm going."
Human Dave grumbles as he leaves the bridge.
On his way to help Quartermaster, he pulls up his holo-display, and archives the message on standby, hoping he'll never have to send it, but keeping it, just in case.

F26, 165lbs, birth control, general anxiety disorder, mild depression, & now panic attacks?
I went to restart my depression medication Viibryd 10mg last night around 8pm. Fast forward to 3am and I’m waking up feeling like I’m dying (shakes, chest pounding, shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea), promoting me to go see my physician who says it sounded like a panic attack, which I’ve never had before.
24hrs later and due for my next dose I am still super nauseous, headache, shaky… does this sound like maybe it’s not the medication for me? I know starting off there’s side effects but this feels debilitating and I don’t even want to take this next dose.
I used this medication around 1 year ago and do not recall these symptoms occurring - is it possible to have different symptoms taking the same medication at different times? I’m so afraid to even try another dose to test it because I feel like I’m poisoning myself.

Hi, I am having an surgery next month and I am feeling very anxious about it. It's not a super big surgery, but I am very afraid of not knowing anything while I am on anesthesia. I had 2 other surgeries with general anesthesia, but I am still feeling super anxious every time. I keep googling like "am I waking up from anesthesia?", "can anesthesia be addictive?", "what is the odd dying from anesthesia", and "how do I deal with pain after surgery." My friend told me just stop googling, but I feel like it's impossible & my family is a bit upset because I am like this every time before a surgery as I already had two surgeries before. I also feel sad because I am so weak mentally and physically. I want to stay strong at least mentally. You know? ;((((

Not sure how everyone will react but hear me out, I’ve found that, when you get the right premise, RWBY can have some good crossovers. With that said, what do you think would make a good crossover with RWBY. As someone who proposed a similar idea on the official RWBY subreddit, I want to hear what you think would work. I’ll start:
I’ve said this a million times but I believe that RWBY and Transformers could make a massively combo of epicness and here’s how I could see it work. First, it would have to start at some point during or after Volume 1 and the plot will move forward from there. Second, the story should borrow aspects from the Transformers IDW comic and bits and pieces of Volumes 2 & 3. It should not completely adhere to the canon of RWBY but it should have necessary plot points from the original show (ie Amber in the vault). Third, the IDW comics should take pieces from Infiltration issue #0 to the final issue of All Hail Megatron when looking for aspects of the 2005 IDW run to draw inspiration from. Finally, RT has worked on a Transformers series for Netflix before which creates an avenue for something like this to be made. Granted the War for Cybertron trilogy could have gone better but, I believe that if given the opportunity and the right people, this could work and become something truly fun.
