Considering taking over this project. House looks typical quality for my area. Crawl spaces are usually neglected though, and this looks consistent with that. Noticed moisture on top of plastic, possibly soaking up foundation walls, despite dry weather and good slope away from house.
The development was made on red fill clay, cut and fill. Should I be worried about ground water problems that could be lurking? (Even on a relative high point, and with grade sloping away from the house quite well). How can I explore this ground moisture issue more fully?
I was planning to encapsulate, et al. Wondering what additional steps I can/should take to to keep this space dry?

2023.06.01 04:04 Appropriate_Lab_5205 Nabeel and Dunkhi Bakhoor reviews and comparison. This is the text part of pics I posted 8 days ago.
For some reason it takes a long time for pics to be uploaded. So this is the text review of a review I started 8 days ago.
The journey I was looking for a middle eastern/Arabic scent, so I bought Dehn Al Oudh Pure Agarwood Incense (LOL) from Nandita (not pictured). The stick had some sort of acrid vinegary smell blended in with the Arabic scent. It was like drinking Coke Zero, it tastes just like Coke while you’re drinking it, but once you put the can down, there’s a bitterness in the aftertaste. I really liked the pungent scent though, so Iread though a lot or reviews on Amazon and bought Koya’s Oudh. Koya was $12 for a box of about 20 (not pictured) instead of $2 for Dehn. This incense smells really good! It’s a blend of the deep pungent Arabic scent I was looking (I don’t know the name of it) and plums or blackberries with vanilla maybe. The fruit scent on top of the Arabic scent worked well together. The layering of the scents was done well IMO, especially for $12. The fruity scent (about 60%) is light and relaxing while the pungent Arabic scent (about 40%) draws you in making a dichotomous scent where your brain has to keep smelling it, not just because it smells really good, but because it’s trying to understand the difference between the two.
Someone on here recommended bakhoor. I though bakhoor was the stuff people smoked from hookahs, so I looked it up and found it’s the Arabic scent I was looking for. I went back on Amazon and found a variety box from Dukhni called Oud Dukhni Bakhoor (not pictured). It has 20 small individually wrapped pressed chips containing 10 different fragrances. It looks like particle board mixed with chocolate lol. The square chips were perfumed, with no layering and the texture of the scent was pretty much one note. They reminded me of HEM incense, not bad once you find a scent you like, but that scent with get boring sense there’s not much for your brain to chew on. Next I bought Bait Al Arab by Swiss Arabian. It got good reviews on Amazon and it’s got Arabian in the name so I thought this was going to be amazing, it was not. It smelled straight up like old grandma, which I found out smells like rose. The pieces where heavily perfumed molded chips. The next three I bought are my favorites that I’m reviewing below.
The review:
- Oudh Nassam by Nabeel: This was exactly what I was looking for! The scent is amazing! If you like darker more masculine Arabic incense, you’ll love Nassam. It draws you in by creating an amazing pungent middle eastern scent and instead of layering the smell of fruit with the Arabic scent like Koya, when burning it, you dont realize the lighter scents exist because of the strong pungent scent until a split second after you inhale and then your brain detects them and they mix with the scent that draws you in. I think it’s why I like it so much, plus it’s composed of 22 different ingredients.
- Oudh Nabeel: This is a lighter scent. At first I was going to return it because I wanted it to be like Nassam, but I was so impressed with Nassam I decided to try it for a while and see if it would change my mind. It did. The lighter scent really grew on me. It’s not floral. TBH, I don’t know what it is. I read the ingredients and don’t recognize 90% of them. It’s not a cheap one note wonder kind of smell, it has structure and depth. The best I can describe it is Nassam is a wonderful exciting scent and Oudh Nabeel is relaxing, happy, billowing cloud, take you’re stress away type of scent.
Nabeel has all their Bakhoor incense listed side by side (at least on Amazon) with all the ingredients of each scent in order of top notes, middle notes and base notes, which lets me steer clear of all the bakhoor with rose in it. The incense comes in glass jars with 60 grams in each jar. The incense consists of pieces of wood soaked in bakhoor juice or some type of proprietary liquid made by Nabeel.
- Bakhoor Sheeba by Dukhni: This incense consisted of 40 grams of 4-5 large molded brickettes. It’s not as textured or layered as Nabeel. It has more of a perfume smell to it and it’s $2 less. Dukhni says the scent is “a woody uplifting blend”. The woody non floral scent is overtaken by the perfumeyness of the scent IMO. It’s not bad though.
From what I’ve tried so far from Dukhni, it’s a lesser quality bakhoor versus Nabeel and Nabeel wins out on value because it comes in $60 gram jars for $16 vs 40 gram jars for $14. I’ll still try Dukhni incense though because I like a perfumey smell every once in a while.

Hiya there fellow pilot and redditors! Hope everyone is doing well and good!!!
I am kind of having a crisis here 😳😅😂 I am not sure which weather app to use or which is the best app to predict weather while planning flights, (PS. I do use aviation weather.gov, leidos flight service) but I am just looking for the perfect free app that gives me satellite and radar view.
Currently I use:- 1.Ventusky 2. My Radar, 3. Windy (kinda hard to interpret as it's to cluttered, imo) 4. StationWX (recently discovered but not much usability if you don't get the premium version) 5. I also use Garmin Pilot app for flying and I use the weather data supplemented to it via wifi/mobile network or by fis-b

he International Scoliosis Research Society defines early onset scoliosis (EOS) as the various types of scoliosis that occur within 10 years of age (1). EOS leads to distortion of body appearance and reduced heart and lung function, which often limits the development of the chest and even oppresses the spinal cord, resulting in paralysis (2). A large-scale demographic study showed that an increase in altitude negatively correlated with newborn birth weight. Moreover, neonatal body weight shows obvious changes when the altitude exceeds 2500 m (3, 4). Based on relevant studies, we defined an area with an altitude above 3000 m as a high-altitude area and an area with an altitude below 500 m as a plain area (5). High-altitude environments consists of low air pressure, hypoxia, and cold weather, all of which impact the cardiopulmonary function and structure of the human body. Such high-altitude environments increase cardiac output, pulmonary ventilation, pulmonary capillary hyperplasia, and other compensatory reactions (6, 7). However, there are limited studies on the effects of high-altitude environments on cardiopulmonary function in patients with EOS. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effects of high altitude on the respiratory and circulatory systems of patients with EOS by comparing blood gas analysis results and cardiopulmonary function between the high-altitude and plain area groups. In addition, we explored how scoliosis affected patients' cardiopulmonary function by analyzing the correlations between scoliosis imaging parameters and cardiopulmonary function measures. We aimed to provide an improved preoperative evaluation and postoperative rehabilitation for EOS patients living in high-altitude areas.
Inclusion and exclusion criteria A retrospective cohort study was conducted to identify patients with EOS between June 2013 and June 2021. The inclusion criteria were: (1) EOS patients with a long-term living altitude >3000 m or living area altitude <500 m; (2) full-length anteroposterior and lateral radiographs of the spine showing scoliosis of mainly the thoracic curvature type; (3) patients with an aggravated Cobb's angle >45°; (4) no treatment with braces or growth rods before evaluation; and (5) all patients knew of the study procedures and agreed to participate. The exclusion criteria were: (1) incomplete spinal radiography data; (2) patients who could not cooperate with the completion of pulmonary function examination, blood gas analysis, and cardiac color ultrasound; and (3) patients with congenital cardio-cerebrovascular diseases, syndrome scoliosis, and previous spinal surgery. Evaluation methods Patient records and relevant data were collected retrospectively. All patients underwent full-length anteroposterior and lateral spine radiographs, blood gas analysis, lung function examination, and heart color ultrasound examination. Imaging parameters Preoperatively, whole-body and lateral spinal X-rays were performed on all patients, and both shoulders were flexed anteriorly during X-ray examination to ensure the most natural state of lumbar lordosis. The imaging parameters were as follows: (1) kyphosis angle of the thoracic (kypho), (2) upper thoracic curve (UT), and (3) main thoracic curve (MT). MT measures the Cobb angle from the head side of the T3 upper endplate to the T12 lower endplate. The UT measures the Cobb angle from the T1 upper endplate to the T3 lower endplate on the cephalic side. Kypho measures the Cobb angle from the upper endplate of the cephalic T2 vertebral body to the lower endplate of the caudal T5 vertebral body. All measurements used the Cobb method. The picture archiving and communication system was used by two independent observers. To test agreement among the observers, two orthopedic spine surgeons measured the imaging parameters twice independently, and the intraclass correlation coefficient was analyzed. Doppler echocardiography Color Doppler echocardiography indices were collected and recorded, including those of the pulmonary artery internal diameter (PAID), left ventricular end-systolic dimension (LVISD), ascendant aorta inner diameter, right ventricular basal diameter (RVBD), left atrium left-right diameter (LALRD), right atrium left-right diameter, left atrium longitudinal diameter, left atrium vertical diameter, peak late diastolic flow velocity (A peak), left ventricular early diastolic peak flow velocity (E peak), interventricular septum extent (IVSE), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), right atrium vertical diameter, and interventricular septum thickness. A color Doppler ultrasound instrument (Vivid E95, GE Healthcare) with an m5S probe was used. Patients were positioned in the left lateral decubitus position, and their electrocardiograms were recorded synchronously to obtain apical four-, 2 three-, and two-chamber heart section images for three consecutive cardiac cycles and acquire spectral Doppler images of the mitral and aortic valves. Routine parameter measurements were performed according to the American Society of Echocardiography guidelines, and the LVEF was determined using the biplane Simpson method. The patients’ imaging results were jointly rated by two experts in ultrasound imaging. Pulmonary function examination The indices of pulmonary function examination included forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory flow in 1s (FEV1), percentage of predicted value, vital capacity (VC), and maximum ventilation (MVV). Preoperative pulmonary function examination was performed using the JAEGER Oxycon Pro with a unified baseline (CareFusion Germany 234 GmbH, Hochberg, Germany). A lung function detector (JAEGER Master Screen PFT, CareFusion Germany 234 GmbH, Hochberg, Germany) was used for measurement. A lung function detector was used for measurement, and the measurement module included pulse oscillation lung function, conventional lung capacity, velocity loop, residual gas function, dispersion function, and MVV rate. Lung function test results were obtained using JLab 5.7 software (CareFusion Germany 234 GmbH, Hochberg, Germany). Blood gas analysis Blood gas analysis indices included blood oxygen saturation (SO2%), hematocrit (Hct), partial pressure of oxygen (pO2), total hemoglobin (Hb), and partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2). Two independent observers recorded these indices. To test for inter-rater agreement, the reported outcomes were recorded twice independently by two orthopedic surgeons, and the recorded data were reconciled. Statistical methods The data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 software, and the data were expressed as`x±s, where`x and s stand for the mean and standard deviation, respectively. An independent sample t-test was used to compare the measurement data between the two groups, and the χ2 test was used for counting data. Differences were considered statistically significant at P<0.05. The correlation among the parameters was determined using Spearman’s correlation coefficient and analyzed using Origin 2021 software. General data Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 38 and 66 EOS patients were enrolled in the high-altitude and plain area groups, respectively. The high-altitude group comprised 20 boys and 18 girls, with a mean age of 8.42 years (range, 6–10 years). The plain area group comprised 26 boys and 40 girls, with a mean age of 8.77 years (range, 4–11 years). The average age of the high-altitude group was not significantly different from that of the plain area group (P>0.05). The body weight and height of the high-altitude group were significantly lower than that of the plain area group; however, there was no significant difference in the body mass index between the two groups. The average Cobb’s angle was 79.65°, and the average thoracic kypho was 60.16°. There was no significant difference in the degree of other spinal deformities between the two groups. The thoracic spine curves of both the groups were mainly on the right side, and the proportion of right kyphosis in the high-altitude and plain area groups was 63.16 and 66.67%, respectively, with no significant difference (P>0.05). There were 48 cases of idiopathic scoliosis, 16 of congenital scoliosis, two of 3 neuromuscular scoliosis, and 24 cases of idiopathic scoliosis in the plain area group; there were 14 cases of congenital scoliosis in the high-altitude group. There was no significant difference in the proportion of patients diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis between both groups (P>0.05). Color Doppler echocardiography examination The PAID, LVEDD, and IVST in the high-altitude group were significantly lower than those in the plain area group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the other cardiac color ultrasound indices, and were within the normal range. Pulmonary function examination The results of the pulmonary function examination showed that the FVC, VC, and MVV in the high-altitude group were significantly lower than those in the plain area group (P<0.05). The average predicted FVC% values in the high-altitude and plain area groups were 77.81 and 73.77%, respectively, and the average predicted FEV1% values were 78.65 and 73.05%, respectively (P>0.05), showing mild restrictive and obstructive ventilatory dysfunction. Blood gas analysis The Hct levels of the plain area group (38.49±2.89%) were significantly lower than those of the high-altitude group (40.85±4.47%; P<0.05). Hb levels in the high-altitude group (13.67 ± 1.46 g/L) were significantly higher than those in the plain group (12.85±0.94 g/L; P<0.05). The pCO2 levels of the high-altitude group (33.44±4.7 mmHg) were significantly lower than those of the plain area group (35.92±4.66 mmHg; P<0.05); however, there was no significant between-group difference in pO2 and SO2% levels (P>0.05). Correlations of parameters The correlation analysis between the spinal parameters and cardiopulmonary function measures in the high-altitude group is significant. In the high-altitude group, there was a significant correlation between the angle of the main thoracic curvature, the angle of the upper thoracic curvature, and kyphosis (rho=0.692, rho=0.484). There was a significant correlation between the kypho and upper chest curvature angles (rho=0.519). There was a significant correlation between LVISD, IVSE, RVBD, LALRD, and the MT (rho=-0.399, rho=0.565, rho=-0.358, rho=-0.371); however, there was no significant correlation between the angle of kyphosis and echocardiography index. PO2 and SO2% levels correlated with the angle of the MT (rho=-0.400, rho=-0.406). The upper chest bend angle was significantly correlated with VC, MVV, FVC, and FEV1 (rho=-0.498, rho=-0.451, rho=-0.513, rho=-0.588), while the upper chest bend angle and kyphosis bend were not significantly correlated with the pulmonary function index. There was a significant linear correlation between the UT and FEV1, FVC, and MVV in the high-altitude group. FEV1=1.623-0.011*UT, FVC=1.858-0.012*UT, MVV=54.646-0.286*UT. The results of the correlation analysis between imaging indices and cardiopulmonary function indices indicated that in the high-altitude group, UT showed a clear negative correlation with VC, FEV1, FVC, and MVV. In contrast, UT showed a clear positive correlation with these indices in the plain area group. In the high-altitude group, MT showed no obvious correlation with lung function indexes, whereas in the plain area group, MT showed a negative correlation with lung function indices. Scoliosis is a complex three-dimensional deformity that leads to distortion of body 4 appearance and reduced organ function, often causing irreversible damage to cardiopulmonary function (8, 9). Scoliosis due to rotation and thoracic scoliosis leads to a decrease in thoracic volume and asymmetry between the left and right thorax, which seriously affects the normal development of cardiopulmonary function in patients. The thoracic volume is vital for the development of cardiopulmonary function in children. Studies have shown that the critical period of alveolar and thoracic development in children occurs before the age of 10 years. Alveolar development in children approximately 10 years old is as prevalent as in adults, and the thoracic volume can reach half of that in adults (10, 11). Therefore, alveolar and thoracic development in EOS patients is critical since scoliosis and thoracic deformities can lead to pulmonary dysplasia. Most researchers believe that poor cardiopulmonary function in patients with scoliosis is caused by mechanical compression of bone tissue (12). Tsiligiannis et al. (13) showed that scoliosis changes the position of thoracic organs and affects normal respiratory movement, resulting in restrictive ventilation disorders. Campbell et al. (2) indicated that congenital scoliosis in patients with rib deformities could cause thoracic deformities, affects the normal development of heart and lung function and often leads to thoracic insufficiency syndrome. However, other studies have suggested that lung function is mainly affected by the limited development of the heart and lung caused by scoliosis rather than the mechanical compression caused by simple thoracic deformities (14). Davies et al. and Berend et al. (12, 15, 16) performed autopsy studies on EOS patients. They showed no obvious abnormality in the shape of alveoli, a decreased total number of alveoli, and no decrease in the size of alveoli due to thoracic compression and no decrease in the size of alveoli due to thoracic compression (the size was found to be compensated). Koumbourlis (17) et al. studied the relationship between scoliosis and patients’ circulatory and respiratory functions. They discovered that scoliosis-related deformities prevent patients from exercising like their normal peers, which reduces the number of chest breaths and compensates for the number of abdominal breaths. Regarding the thoracic structure, scoliosis limits the normal development of the chest, causing deformation of the important cardiovascular compression, leading to cardiopulmonary dysfunction. High-altitude areas exhibit a unique geographical environment comprising factors such as low pressure, low PO2, and low air content. Living in low-oxygen and thin-air environments over a long period impacts the development of cardiopulmonary function. An independent risk factor for low birth weight in newborns is the high-altitude environment, which leads to fetal growth restriction and affects the function of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems (5, 18). When the altitude increases by 100 m, the ambient atmospheric pressure decreases by 5 mmHg. Because the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere is constant, the oxygen partial pressure will decrease by approximately 1 mmHg. At sea level, the average pO2 is 150 mmHg. When the altitude is between 3000 and 5500 m, the PO2 decreases between 80 and 100 mmHg. When exposed to hypoxia and a hypobaric environment, people living in a plateau environment will have compensatory regulatory responses to restore the body's internal homeostasis. Over the course of natural selection, this compensatory response may be passed on to offspring through genetic material. The compensatory responses of people at high altitudes to hypoxia and hypobaric environments include increased pulmonary blood perfusion, erythrocytosis, blood viscosity, lung tissue compliance, and a slight increase in 5 pulmonary artery pressure. Studies have shown that people in high-altitude environments have symptoms of right ventricular hypertrophy and pulmonary hypertension, and elevated Hb levels in the body (19-21). In this study, the chest curve was the main bend in EOS patients in plain and high-altitude areas, with Cobb's angle of the main bend >45° in all patients. There was no significant between-group difference in the direction and severity of scoliosis and kyphosis. Idiopathic scoliosis is the primary classification of scoliosis. Excluding congenital cardiac developmental abnormalities, pulmonary artery diameter, LVEDD, and inter-ventricular septum thickness in the high-altitude group were smaller than that in the plain area group. This may be due to structural abnormalities of the heart and lungs caused by long-term low pressure and lack of oxygen in high-altitude areas. To explore the relationship between scoliosis, cardiopulmonary function, and the effect of high altitude on cardiopulmonary function, a correlation analysis was performed. The UT angle in the high-altitude group was correlated with the pulmonary function examination indexes (VC, MVV, FVC, and FEV1), while the UT angle in the plain area group was not significantly correlated with these indexes. Long-term exposure to high and cold climates, low pressure, and low oxygen environments impact the cardiopulmonary structure of patients in high-altitude areas. Therefore, the reduction in thoracic space caused by changes in spinal structure will cause more serious damage to the cardiopulmonary function of patients in high-altitude areas compared to patients in plain areas (22). Therefore, patients with severe scoliosis in high-altitude areas require active surgical intervention to reduce cardiorespiratory impairment associated with scoliosis. The results of pulmonary function tests showed that the average values of FEV1% and FVC% in both groups were < 80%, and there were mild restrictive and obstructive ventilation disorders, indicating that scoliosis and thoracic deformities limited the normal respiratory function of patients. The FVC, VC, and MVV indices of the high-altitude group were significantly lower than those of the plain area group. This could be due to the following: the low temperature at high altitudes contracts the small airways of the lungs and increases ventilatory resistance; the hypobaric and hypoxic environment forces the patients to breathe more times per unit time, increasing the load of respiratory muscles and causing respiratory muscle fatigue; the nutritional status of patients in high-altitude areas is worse than that of patients in plain areas; and the thoracic volume is smaller in patients in high-altitude areas than that of patients in plain areas. Scoliosis with thoracic deformity is often accompanied by limited diaphragm function and decreased chest volume, which leads to a decrease in lung tissue pressure and compliance, pulmonary hypertension, and even serious diseases such as cor pulmonale and respiratory failure (23). Studies have shown that pulmonary dysfunction before surgical treatment increases perioperative respiratory complications such as respiratory insufficiency, atelectasis, and pneumonia (24). Therefore, during clinical treatment, more attention should be paid to evaluating pulmonary function in EOS patients before surgery. For patients at high altitudes or other EOS patients with significantly impaired pulmonary function, it is necessary to carry out preoperative respiratory function training to improve respiratory function (25) and surgical safety and reduce postoperative complications; the comprehensive evaluation of pulmonary function in combination with other disciplines is also possible. 6 Because of the lack of studies comparing lung function between EOS patients in high-altitude and plain areas that are similar to our patient population, it cannot be ruled out whether the decline in lung function indices is affected by spinal deformities. In this study, the number of patients in high-altitude areas was less than that of patients in plain areas. Our results may not be comprehensive enough as there were only a few categories of imaging parameters; therefore, it was difficult to analyze the correlation between other imaging parameters and cardiopulmonary function. Conclusion EOS patients in high-altitude areas had poorer cardiac and pulmonary functions than those who live in plain areas. Cardiopulmonary function and the degree of scoliosis interact with each other. Yet halfway down the pier, Ciccio Italian Beef dishes out a version unlike any in town. While most shops shave the beef paper thin, Ciccio’s beef is slightly thicker, yet stunningly tender and almost steak-like. Instead of a soft and squishy roll, this one features a crackly crust that gives way to a supremely tender interior that soaks up the beefy juices without turning to mush. Whether or not it’s the best in the city is debatable, but it’s a fascinating new option.
Turns out, Ciccio owner Mario Ferraro is no newbie to the Italian beef game. In the 1970s, Ferraro even ran Mia’s Beef and Sausage at 1729 N. Cicero Ave.

As we
gather here today, we must recognize the pressing need to unite our efforts for the advancement of our region and the collective confrontation of the challenges that surround us. Foremost among these challenges is the continued occupation of the Holy Land by the Zionists. This occupation not only threatens the sanctity of the land but also fosters disunity among us, diverting attention from the Palestinian cause. Israel's destructive projects, misinformation campaigns, and support for terrorism further destabilize the region. It is incumbent upon us to call upon the international community to take decisive action against these programs and projects that jeopardize regional and international peace and security.
My brothers and sisters, we must reflect upon our past and the sacrifices made to liberate Jerusalem. We have fought battles, endured economic embargoes, and lost countless lives. Yet, the question remains: Why have we not achieved the establishment of a Palestinian state? Is it because of our internal divisions and conflicts? What happened to the cause of liberating Palestine? Were we lying to ourselves or the world ? Why do we not have a Palestinian state? Does Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan also not have claims over the territories of Palestine?
The Israelis mock us, how can they not when they witness the disunity that plagues the Arab world. We must come together and recognize the gravity of this situation. Before, during and after the the Zionist occupation of Palestine, the Arabs are fighting amongst themselves. We fight amongst ourselves. Oh Arabs, the zionists are laughing at us! There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is His messenger.

We don't know what's going to happen in the future, but so far, the evidence is that they have given a spectacular demonstration, that they are the last shower of military reign in this Ummah. It is Afghanistan that is the heart of Khorasan, and if the Islamic resistance in Afghanistan has been successful in resisting American occupation of the country to such an extent that the United States have withdrawn, the evidence can no longer be disputed.
As we all know here Ancient Khorasan comprises of the north west of Pakistan, the whole of Afghanistan, the east of Iran, and the north of Afghanistan, the whole area is known as Khorasan. And when our Prophet said that an army will come from Khorasan, and no one will be able to stop it until it reaches Jerusalem.
An army has come out of Khorasan with black flags, and no one will be able to stop that army until it reaches Jerusalem, Indicating that it is not a Russian army that will liberate the Holy Land, rather it will be a Muslim army, amd that Muslim army will be from Khorasan.
That is what has happened, and what is happening is a validation of the Prophecy of our Prophet! it is a validation! This is so all of mankind should now be paying attention to what has happened in Afghanistan and the world of islam, because history is not moving in a haphazard way, rather history is moving in a particular direction, towards a particular culmination, or end, and the Messiah is located at the very heart of the movement of history, and the Messiah is connected to Jerusalem.
The Quran declares, but you wouldn't know it, because the New York times would not publish it, nor would the Washington post, nor would CNN broadcast it, that the Holy land was given to the Israelite people. Now would that not be crucially important information to inform the world?

It is imperative to understand the Quranic perspective on the Holy Land. The Quran recognizes that the land was granted to the Israelite people but under the condition of faith in the one God, they must recognize him as the sovereign, and that they must engage in righteous conduct. The right to reside in the Holy Land extends to Muslims, Jews, and Christians who worship the one God. Peaceful coexistence, devoid of oppression or exclusivity, should be our goal.
The jews have the right to live in the Holy land, it is their land, but it is not theirs alone. Others who worship the one God also have the right to reside in that Holy Land. Muslims should be prepared to share the holy land with jews and Christians so we can live together peacefully without any party oppressing the other.
Everytime the Israelites violated the conditions, Allah debarred them from the holy land. He threw them out from the Holy land. Ask the jews why they were expelled from the holy land, they themselves will tell you it was because they violated the covenant. Palestine is occupied, and it seems that it will continue to remain occupied until we are given a sign from the divine to begin mobilization.
While addressing these crucial matters, we must also acknowledge our own shortcomings. History bears witness to our divisions, enmity, and deceptive actions towards one another. Instead of uniting against our common enemies, Arab intelligence agencies often conspire against each other. This internal strife weakens us and plays into the hands of those who seek to exploit our vulnerabilities. It is high time we redirect our ferocity towards the true enemies of Islam.
Furthermore, the issue of the UAE islands occupied by Iran requires resolution. It is not in the best interest of Arab hospitality to foster close relations with Iran, Turkey, or any other nation that may pose a threat. If there are legitimate concerns, let us collectively refer this issue to the International Court of Justice for a fair and just resolution, then accept the court's ruling and work towards peaceful relations. We must address the complex dynamics between Iran and the Arab world. Iran cannot be avoided.
Iran has played a significant role in the GCC economy, and its historical ties with the region cannot be ignored. While we may have disagreements, it is not in our best interest to become enemies. Let us remember that the ruling families are Arab, but without a doubt, the majority of the people residing in the region for the past three thousand years are of Iranian descent. We share a common faith and should strive for peaceful coexistence.
In conclusion, let us unite as Arab nations and confront the challenges we face, we ask Allah Almighty to guide our steps and bless all our endeavors.

한국형발사체 누리호( KSLV-II )가 지난 25일 성공적으로 발사돼 위성들을 계획된 궤도에 안착시켰다.

25일 한국항공우주연구원(항우연)에 따르면 누리호는 이날 오후 6시24분 예정대로 이륙해 모든 발사 과정이 정상 진행됐다.
당초 발사 예정일은 24일이었지만 기술적 문제가 생기면서 발사가 하루 미뤄졌다.
발사 일정이 연기된 것은 2차 발사할 때도 있었던 일이다. 당시 누리호가 기립한 상태에서 초속 7m의 강풍이 불어 발사가 한 차례 지연됐고, 산화제 탱크 센서에서 이상이 발견되면서 발사가 또 연기됐다.
결국 원래 일정에서 6일 지난 지난해 6월21일 2차 발사가 이뤄졌다.
24일은 2차 발사 당시보다 기상 상황이 좋았지만, 저온 헬륨을 공급하는 밸브 제어 과정에서 문제가 발생했다.
오태석 과학기술정보통신부 1차관은 브리핑에서 "저온 헬륨을 공급하는 밸브를 제어하는 과정에서 발사 제어 컴퓨터와 발사대 설비를 제어하는 컴퓨터 간 통신 이상이 발생했다"며 "발사 하루 전인 어제 오전 점검 과정에서는 해당 문제가 발생하지 않았으나 발사 당일인 24일 오후 3시경에 문제가 발생했다"고 설명했다.
누리호 발사관리위원회는 전날 누리호 점검 과정에서 발생한 이상 상황에 대한 조치를 완료하고 25일 같은 시간 누리호를 3차 발사했다.
차세대 소형위성 2호를 시작으로 20초 간격으로 큐브위성 등 8기 위성을 분리하는 데 성공한 누리호는 발사 1138초 후 비행을 종료했다.

이번 발사는 누리호가 목표 궤도에 진입해 차세대 소형위성 2호를 안전하게 분리했다는 점에서 성공적이라고 평가받는다.
윤석열 대통령은 "우리나라가 우주 강국 G7 (주요 7개국)에 들어갔음을 선언하는 쾌거"라며 "자체 제작한 위성을 자체 제작한 발사체에 탑재하여 우주 궤도에 올린 나라는 미국, 프랑스, 일본, 러시아, 중국, 인도밖에 없다"고 평가했다.
윤 대통령은 이어 "전 세계에서 대한민국의 우주과학 기술과 첨단산업을 바라보는 시각이 크게 바뀔 것"이라며 "누리호 3차 발사는 8개 실용위성을 궤도에 진입시킨 것으로, 1개의 실험 위성을 궤도에 진입시킨 2차 발사에서 엄청나게 진일보한 것"이라고 강조했다.
이번 발사가 '첫 실전 발사'라 불린 이유는 실제 위성이 실리기 때문이다.
이전 두 차례의 발사는 사실상 누리호의 성능 검증에 초점을 뒀었다. 2021년 10월 21일 1차 발사 때는 위성 모사체를 탑재했고, 지난해 6월 2차 발사에서는 위성 모사체와 함께 성능검증 위성과 큐브 위성 4개를 실었다.
누리호의 이번 임무는 고도 550km에서 실용급 위성 8기를 궤도에 올리는 것이었다.
이호성 한국항공우주연구원 박사는 24일 YTN '뉴스라이브'와 인터뷰에서 "위성 모사체가 실린 지난 발사는 (실제 위성과) 무게만 맞췄고, 그것이 어디에 있는지 확인하기 위한 장치만 기본적으로 있었다"며 "이번에는 실제로 위성이 배터리를 갖고 신호를 보여주면서 활동을 한다. 또 국내에서 개발한 여러 탑재물을 우주 환경에서 시험한다는 큰 의미가 있다"고 설명했다.
함께 실리는 차세대 소형위성 2호에도 순수 국산 기술로 개발된 영상 레이더( SAR ) 장비가 장착됐다.
이 박사는 "옛날에는 광학으로 봤는데 이 위성을 통해 레이더로 관측을 하게 돼서 비가 오거나 구름이 오거나 이것도 다 볼 수 있게 된다"고 설명했다.
다만 전력 소비가 많다 보니 항상 햇빛을 받아 전력을 충전해야 한다.
차세대 소형위성이 태양동기궤도 중에서도 승교점을 통과하는 여명-황혼 궤도(고도 550㎞)에 반드시 올라가야 하는 이유다..

The Korean launch vehicle Nuri (KSLV-II) was successfully launched on the 25th, landing the satellites in a planned orbit.
Unlike the previous two launches that carried satellite models, it is the "first real launch" equipped with an actual satellite..

The launch is considered successful in that Nuri entered its target orbit and safely separated the next-generation small satellite 2.
President Yoon Suk Yeol said, "It is a great thing to declare that Korea has entered the G7 (seven major countries)," adding, "The United States, France, Japan, Russia, China, and India are the only countries that have put their own satellites into space on their own projectiles."
"The world's view of Korea's space science technology and high-tech industries will change significantly," President Yoon said. "The third launch of Nuri is a huge step forward from the second launch that entered one experimental satellite."
The reason why this launch was called the "first real launch" is that the actual satellite is loaded.
The previous two launches had effectively focused on verifying the performance of the Nuri. During the first launch on October 21, 2021, a satellite simulation body was mounted, and in the second launch in June last year, a performance verification satellite and four Cube satellites were loaded along with the satellite simulation body.
The mission was to put eight practical satellites into orbit at an altitude of 550 kilometers.
Dr. Lee Ho-sung of the Korea Aerospace Research Institute said in an interview with YTN's "News Live" on the 24th, "The last launch with the satellite mimic only weighed (with the actual satellite), and there was only a device to check where it was." This story takes place a few years ago, back when I had just graduated from high school, in the summer months that separated my juvenile years from the coming dawn of (semi)-adulthood.
I was naive then, still a child without a care in the world, save for my life ahead of me and spending the rest of my ‘youthful days’ with my friends.
So we decided to go on a trip around the world to sightsee, to be close before we were inevitably forced apart. We journeyed off into the lands of the British, to the towers of France, and even to the deep jungles of South America.
It was all very fun until we decided to head over to a little known island by the name of Bandai Landang somewhere in the Java Sea. If you look for the island now it barely shows anything save for a few internet forum adventures gone bad and Bandai Namco, the entertainment company.
I think our friend Canopy was the one who found out about it. He was always into the weirder side of things.
The island can be considered a micronation, but the countries nearby all claim it’s part of theirs. Indonesia, Malaysia, and even China have it listed as some other name. No, I’m not going to share the ‘official’ name of the island- I don’t want anymore unfortunate wanderers.
Anyway, Canopy said the island promised exquisite beaches, awesome views, and untouched air and a sense of peace.
“I’ve never heard of this,” I pointed out. “Is it really a thing?”
He patted my shoulder. “It’ll be fun! My cousin’s been there and she said it was AWESOME!”
So we decided to venture onto the island. We were nearby anyway, and after asking around, Canopy managed to find us a ferry that would take us there.
This is where things go wrong. This is where we had to split up.
“I’m sorry,” the old man running the boat said, “the ferry's full.” And so our group of six was split into three.
Canopy, Myra, and Al went on first, and the rest of us- me, Quincy, and Jan would have to stay over the next day. Now it was only too late when we found out that there were no ferries crossing the next day.
“It was perfectly fine yesterday?” I snapped, confused. “The weather hasn’t even changed!”
The old man who’d ferried our friends shook his head. “Today is… festival,” he pronounced. “Water no good- there are things in the water. Evil things.”
“What festival?” Quincy demanded. But the old man had walked away, leaving us on a very empty dock. “What-” he sighed.
“It’s okay,” Jan assured. “There’s things to do here.”
I nodded, and we started to walk back to our hotel when a burly man appeared. He was white, not local, and had an air of gusto to him. “You three really believe that crap about the festival?”
I looked at him, perplexed, and shook my head. “No. We just want to get too the island.”
He took my hand and shook it. “Name’s Captain Murrow,” he told. “And I can take you to the island.”
This was great news. So I shook it and we settled on a deal. He charged double the price, being as that he was the only one willing to take us. And being naive kids, we decided it was a fair trade.
We just wanted to see our friends.
Besides us and the Captain there were two others on board- a rich couple that seemed to avoid us with their dog, a fancy chihuahua of some sort that barked at everything.
“Enjoy yourselves,” Murrow suggested. “It’ll be an hour.”
An hour wasn’t that bad, considering the flights we’d traveled and the hikes we’d been on. So me and my friends made small talk, and we chatted about colleges, journeys, romance, all the little things that made up life.
The fog rolled in an hour later, when we were supposed to have arrived.
“Excuse me, friends,” Captain Murrow announced. “We seem to have drifted…” there was a certain confusion to how he was saying his words, “...off course?”
Me and Quincy ran up on deck while Jan slept. We found the rich, pretentious looking couple bickering with the captain. “I can’t wait any longer with this riff-raff on board,” she hissed, dog barking in hand. “We’re going to be late for the auction!”
“Is this some sort of tourist trap?” her husband snarled. “I’ll pay you all you need to set us back on course!”
Murrow’s brow furrowed. “I don’t know what exactly is going on,” he told. “This hasn’t happened before.”
Quincy spoke up. “Maybe the legends are true and we never should’ve gone.” I giggled at that. “OoooOo!” he joked. I think Murrow found it a little funny, cause he smiled.
The couple most certainly did not. “Kids like you will never understand what it means to be on time,” the woman hissed. “Always late.”
Her husband looked out into the mist and pointed. “Look- there are-” he squinted his eyes, “boats!”
Jan came out, wondering why we hadn’t arrived. I told her we didn’t know, and the three of us- and Murrow walked over to the edge.
There was nothing out there, much to the man’s confusion. But the more we drifted, and the more Murrow tried to set us back on course the more it seemed there was something out there.
A sense of- dread? Fear? Excitement- filled my veins. It was all very new and interesting. A youthful adventure- a group lost at sea, ready to be rescued!
“Boats!” the husband shouted. “Look!”
This was when they came into view. First it was one or two, little wooden rafts that drifted in the distance against the ferry- despite the wind blowing the opposite direction.
And then more started to come, and closer they came. They were tattered wooden things, ripped by wind and cut-like marks.
That’s when we saw what was on them. “What the hell?” Jan whispered. “Are those-”
They were almost like dolls, burnt and faceless, strung against the boats, strapped downwards with odd multicolored ropes that stood out against the graying mist. “They must be dolls, right?” I asked.
Quincy sniffed the air and withdrew in fear. “I don’t think so.” I smelt it too as the wind blew, now harsh.
It smelled of decay. Burned flesh and the sickly stench of burnt hair. “Is this the festival?” the woman pleaded, asking Murrow. She folded her arms in disbelief. “Some trick.”
“I’ve heard of these,” Murrow murmured, now serious. “I didn’t think they’d be true.”
Jan asked him what they were as more drifted nearer and nearer. The answer was just as foreboding.
“Corpse boats,” he told. It was said an unprepared traveler wandering the seas at night would find themselves met with the rafts. They would smell the decay at first, and the burnt hair.
Then they would see the burnt, paper-wrapped bodies, strapped to the boat. It was said that once a year a couple traveling out those would kids would meet them- and that they would vanish forever.
And there was something else to them, too- staring at them for too long would-
The husband gasped before Murrow could finish. “Alice, look!” he shouted. “It’s- it’s Marissa!”
The woman looked blankly at the ocean, seeing nothing. “What the hell are you talking about?” she spat. “Of course you’re thinking about your ex at a time like this!” And then she turned to the captain. “Get us out of here. This trip is over.”
“No, look- it’s-” and then he stopped. And then across the boat, floating in parallel with us was one of the corpse boats, closer than ever.
The raft was different. Three sharp, pointed sticks raised upwards, and the foul smelling corpse-doll (what were they?) was impaled. A stick through the head made it look upwards.
“She’s calling my name,” he stammered, walking away back. He screamed and put his hands around his ears. He screamed and screamed, backing away, terrified. We started to back away, shocked by his actions.
And then he did the impossible. He ran and flung himself off the ship, whispering the name “Marissa!” as he fell.
There was no splash. Just an empty nothing. “What the hell!” I yelped. It wasn’t even a question, it was just- shock.
Hesitantly, the three of us looked downwards. No strung up impaled corpse was there. No husband to be seen. Just the fog, the sea, and the corpse boats in the distance passing us by.
“Don’t look at them!” Murrow snapped, finishing his story. “Don’t look at them or they’ll take you!”
We instantly avoided our gaze, returning to the center of deck, staring at the ground instead. The boat suddenly hit something, and it flung us to a side.
I picked myself up and-
It was in front of me. Impossibly, an impaled, foul smelling corpse covered paper, arms strung almost trying to reach me. For a second it wasn’t a corpse but the dead body of my high school sweetheart and I almost reached to meet it.
But I avoided my gaze and shut my eyes.
Then my hair began to be brushed, to be braided, they same way she would do it before she’d been killed in a car accident. I heard whispers in my ear, whispers I couldn’t make out that sounded all too familiar.
“Come with me,” I heard. “Float away…”
And then I heard screaming, and the feeling of the thing near me evaporated. I opened my eyes to see the rich woman tugging at Captain Murrow. “Look!” she cried, pointing to the ocean.
“I don’t-” he was tugged, “-want to!”
“It’s my husband!” she snarled. “How’d he get on one of those?!” she slapped Murrow across the cheek. “Get him back here.”
In the sea I saw a corpse, impaled and stretched out to reach out to her. The woman started back lovingly. “Don’t worry- I’ll get you!” And then she, with Murrow in hand stepped over the barrier and, with her free hand, clasped the corpse’s hand in hers.
And then she screamed. The body pulled her dowards with such force her arm was ripped clean off.
She screamed and fell over the edge- taking Murrow with her- but Quincy and Jan leapt to action, seizing him just before our captain was lost forever.
Like before, there was no splash. Nothing to tell us she’d ever been there but for a confused chihuahua and blood on deck.
We spent the next hour below deck, avoiding the rest of the corpse-boats. And just as it had all begun the boat seemed to right itself on course. The sun shone brightly, and Murrow ferried us to the docks.
I texted my friends, the three who'd come before- but they didn’t respond.
I asked around where they’d gone, and after a while, a visitor to the island told me they jumped off after looking into the ocean for far too long. I asked further, to the locals who had been on the boat the day before.
So many had vanished on the journey. They were only three more.
I researched this phenomenon as the years passed by, wondering if they would ever be found. This event isn’t local to the journey to Bandai Landang, though. No, Corpse Boats have been sighted throughout history and in international waters.
Be careful when you travel by ferry. Don’t look at the corpse boats or you’ll end up like many of the missing at sea.
