Leslie Van Houten is infamously one of the Manson KILLERS of the 60's. On the Night of the Tate and LaBianca's murders.....she was directly responsible for personally killing the LaBianca's in a gruesome way, and then using their blood to write messages on the walls.
They were all sentenced to DEATH for the grisly murders. (Sharon Tate was 8 months pregnant at the time, and the baby died as well.)
But then California abolished the Death penalty before their executions could take place, and commuted their sentences to LIFE in Prison, without the possibility of parole.
But then over the years, the laws were amended *again* to give ALL prisoners the *chance* of parole.
As such, she got her chances.......and was denied at first......but then the parole board finally approved parole for her. However the Governor of the state, first Gov. Brown, and then Now Gov. Newsom, VETOED those decisions, and she remained in jail.
She has now been granted parole 4 times and vetoed 4 times.
She has just again, been granted parole for the 5th time.....meaning, she could be released back into society from her LIFE sentence.
Here's the question..............If you are Gov. Newsom.............do you finally give in and grant the parole, or do you veto it again?
If it helps, she is now in her 70's.....and the parole board thinks she's reformed....and they OBJECTED to the previous veto's and claim they will fight any veto this time around, as denying it this time around is baseless and only based on political optics as there's no sound reason to keep her imprisoned.

Beste allen,
Ik ben een man, 33 jaar oud, werkzaam aan de universiteit als onderzoeker en verdien 4650 euro bruto per maand (exclusief vakantiegeld en dertiende maand). Vader van een 1 jarig zoontje en getrouwd met een vriendin die drie dagen per week werkt (2100 bruto).
Allereerst, ik vind mijn werk zelf, mijn werkomgeving en mijn collega's leuk. Echter, er begint langzaamaan iets aan me te knagen. Mijn werkgever, collega's en omgeving benadrukken allen dat ik een goed salaris heb (werkgever is natuurlijk niet geheel objectief en probeert vooral een loonsverhoging af te houden). Dit klopt ook als ik het vergelijk met collega's en omgeving. Natuurlijk is het geen Google-salaris, maar het staat opzich prima in verhouding tot mijn verantwoordelijkheid en werk-uren.
Echter, financieel zitten we gewoon behoorlijk krap. Helaas heb ik geen vermogende ouders en ons huis hebben wij zonder jubelton moeten kopen: maandlasten: 1200 euro. Geloof me, ik had graag een een goedkoper huis gekocht, maar die waren meteen vergeven voordat ze op Funda kwamen of gelegen in een buurt waarin ik mijn zoontje niet wil laten opgroeien. Blijven huren was ook geen optie want huren in de buurt van de Randstad (30 km verwijderd van elke grote stad, maar toch), wordt met een gezin en dus meer dan 1 slaapkamer ook al snel te duur.
Dan heb ik uiteraard een studieschuld van 28.000 euro: niet bizar hoog, maar kan beter. En mijn vrouw heeft 20.500 euro studieschuld.
We moeten noodgedwongen 2 dagen per week gebruik maken van de kinderopvang (omdat mijn ouders helaas door ziekte en werk niet doordeweeks op kunnen passen), waarvoor we (na toeslag) 595 euro per maand netto voor betalen.
Nu worden door inflatie de boodschappen en andere zaken forst duurder en dat merken we echt. Met als gevolg dat er weinig geld over blijft voor vakanties en andere leuke dingen. Momenteel komen we rond en that's it, soms sparen we 200 euro per maand, maar dat is vaak ook weer snel op aan onderhuid huis, kleding of baby-artikelen (pot melkpoeder = 18 euro). We zijn dit jaar op vakantie geweest in de Ardennen, hetgeen uiteindelijk ook niet bijzonder goedkoop was, we bespaarden op vliegtickets maar uiteindelijk moet er toch gegeten worden.
Alles bij elkaar merk ik dat ik steeds vaker gebrek aan motivatie voor werk en zin in het leven mis. Nogmaals, niet omdat ik mijn werk niet leuk vind, maar omdat ik steeds vaker het idee krijg dat we beide werken om het hoofd boven water te houden.
Telkens als ik soortgelijke posts lees op reddit of andere forums komt het advies langs om ander, beter betaald werk te zoeken, maar dat wil ik niet. Een baan in de commerciele sector betaald zeker beter, maar draagt vaker minder direct iets bij aan de maatschappij/wetenschap alsin mijn huidige baan. Ik heb vooral het idee dat ik gestraft wordt door de maatschappij omdat ik een normaal burgerlijk bestaan wil leiden waarin ik niet continu bezig wil zijn met zoveel mogelijk rendement uit mijn (beetje) spaargeld halen of steeds de best-betaalde baan wil vinden.
Disclaimer, ik ben niet depressief. Ik sport veel, geniet van het jonge vaderschap, gelukkig en dankbaar voor het hebben van een leuke vrouw en vrienden. Echter, ik zou graag in de supermarkt een kipfilet willen kopen zonder m'n banksaldo te checken en 1x per jaar in de zomervakantie naar de zon van het vakantiegeld (dat nu ingezet wordt om de hypotheek of studieschuld versneld af te lossen). Een normaal burgerlijk bestaan lijkt een privilege te zijn in de huidige maatschappij. Ik besef maar al te goed dat dit komt door inflatie, oorlog, vergrijzing, huizentekort etc. Maar, wat nu dan?

Sinds kort werk ik naast mijn studie bij een gemeente. Hier passen ze een Individueel Keuzebudget (IKB) toe in plaats van vakantiegeld. Maandelijks bouw ik nu een bedrag op van 17% bovenop mijn salaris. Dit budget heeft verschillende toepassingen, waaronder het budget gebruiken voor een studie. Hiervoor gelden fiscale voordelen, waardoor er minder belasting over betaald moet worden.
Nu vroeg ik mij of dit ook het geval is voor een al gevolgde studie. Het verschil kan namelijk aanzienlijk zijn als ik het IKB eerst laat uitbetalen om vervolgens dit geld te besteden voor het afbetalen van mijn studieschuld.
Graag hoor ik van jullie ervaringen!

A van crashed into our home at around 4.30am Tuesday morning, the driver was chasing someone on a bike who had stolen tools (a small handheld vacuum) out of his van. When he has spotted the person on the bike he has sped up in an attempt to hit the bike rider and went straight into our home. The back of the bike was clipped by the car and the rider was thrown off but they quickly got up and ran away. The van went through our front doohallway and was metres away from our bed, the noise obviously woke us up immediately and debris from the crash reached our bedside. By the time we had jumped up and saw what had happened, the driver had reversed out of our property (causing more structural damage and worsening potential collapse) and attempted to grab his detached bumper out of the wreckage, presumably to try and do a runner and hide his identity.
The street has just had 20mph signs freshly painted onto the road, but the force of the crash has split bricks all the way up the wall of the house and there are severe cracks right across the property from the force of the crash. The van went through both the external garden path wall, the front doohallway and there are cracks in the internal bedroom wall also so there is no way he was driving at 20mph. The force of the crash ripped the electric metre out of the floor, causing live wires to spark (there are black burn marks in the doorway) and the gas also cut out but luckily the gas pipe stayed intact or there would have been an explosion.
After days of police, fire brigades, council, structural engineers, gas board, electric board etc assessing the property, during which time we were out on the street as we weren't allowed into the property as it was deemed structurally unsafe, it has been decided that the property is not able to be lived in for at least a few months while work is carried out to make the property safe again and reconnect the electric/gas.
We currently rent this property, and have been meeting with our landlord to figure out how we are going to move forward. There was a meeting yesterday with the insurance company, where we were told that they could only cover another rented property for us at a like-for-like price. We have been living in this property for 4 years now, and our landlord has miraculously never upped our rent price, meaning that the amount we pay (£435 p/m) is completely unreflective of the current rental market, and any property we can find is around double the price per month. The insurance claims that we can either continue to pay our current landlord £435pm and they will house us in a hotel room which would have no kitchen and poor wifi (I work from home and need high speed internet for my job, and this would increase our food bills dramatically per month as we couldn't cook), or we can stop paying our landlord rent for the duration of this time (and the insurance will pay our landlord instead), and just pay the new rent at whichever property we organise which again leaves us dramatically worse off as not only will our rent double each month, but we will also have to pay for new deposits, estate agent fees, removal vans, potentially storage space, etc.
As this incident was not our fault in any way, it seems ridiculous to me that all of this botheextra cost is coming our way, and I'm confident that as the driver of the van was solely responsible, and driving recklessly, surely he is accountable for the upheaval of our lives and the subsequent costs that are mounting up?
My partner's lung collapsed 2 weeks ago and he is supposed to be recovering at home with no stress/exercise - as you can imagine this is not what has happened as he has been running around like a madman stressing about our life being turned upside down and I'm really worried how this is affecting his health, we really just need some advice/answers to give us peace of mind as it seems like everything is falling on our shoulders even though we are the victims in this situation. I am extremely grateful that no one was hurt as this could have been a very different story. Any advice would be much appreciated!! Thank you

I just called my local camera store T4 cameras about what I expect to be a fairly basic repair on my Pentax MZM and they said they won’t do cameras this old/ cheap. This really rubbed me up the wrong way as I bought it from them, but that’s besides the point, I like this camera and don’t just want to throw it away and go fishing online for another. Do any of you know where in the uk I could get a repair done?
The camera was left in a van for a weekend and now won’t reel the film across, I expect it needs new seals and O rings from the cold or something or just a re-assembly.

Kind of going of the original story but with some variations this is how I think it would go and what roles each character would fill if the Until Dawn characters where in The Quarry
Chapter 1
I think this chapter would be similar to the original. The group would decide to have a party and switch off too their own little groups. Mike and Chris would likely be the main ones coming up with the idea and I think Mike would be the one to separate them. I think he would get Ashley and Chris to get the firewood, him and Jess would go to the store, Josh and Sam would charge the phones where they may or may not loosen the ladder ring and Matt and Emily would go to the area next to the island
Chapter 2
After finishing there separate tasks and meeting up I don’t think their game of truth or dare would go nearly as bad as the quarry characters. However I still think the group would separate once again at the end. Mike and Jessica would go to have sex on the island. Matt and Emily would either go looking for Emily’s lost bag in the woods like in the original game or just go to make out. Sam, Josh, Ashley and Chris would probably just stay hanging out at the campsite.
Chapter 3
Jessica and Mike hang out at the dock for a little bit before heading to the island. Emily and Matt get attacked in the woods and Matt gets bit. Emily is the one who goes on the chase scene back to the campfire similar to Abby in the original game. When she gets back she explains much more calmly than Abby what happened. Chris is the one to go after Matt where there is then a chase scene to rescue Matt.
Chapter 4
Mike and Jess go to the treehouse to have sex but are interrupted by banging from the trapdoor. When they open it a werewolf (just a random different one because Max isn’t at the camp in this version) jumps down and triggers a chase scene. Here you play as Mike or Jess having to get them and the other person to the zip line. If you fail you die but if you make it they both zip line down. Depending on your choices and rather you fail the quick times both one or none of them can die. They can also possibly get bit. The other group after making it back to the cabin all try to get help for Matt. Eventually they decide to have Chris and Sam go to try to talk to someone on the radio.
Chapter 5
At the cabin when the people break in Ashley and Josh stay with Matt while Emily goes to investigate the house. When the part comes to run or hide Ashley and Josh would choose to hide while Emily and Matt would run. Bobby would catch Ashley and Matt would save her (I know in the original game Nick saves Abi because there dating but Matt and Ashley are good friends so I think it would be the same) at the cabin Sam would be the one to stand guard while Chris fixes the wire meaning Chris has the opportunity to get bit and Sam can choose to amputate or not. The chapter ends at the pool house kaylee still alive however because Laura isn’t there
Chapter 6
The chase scene that happens to Jacob and partly Emma in the original in this version happens to Mike and Jessica. Unlike Jacob however Mike and Jess wouldn’t be clumsy enough to accidentally push each other off the bridge. This means another thing like in chapter 4 would happen with opportunities for both of them to die. It could also be them separately if one of them dies earlier or it could not occur at all if they’re both dead. Either way at the end none one or both of them will get captured by the Hacketts and taken to cages. At the pool house Emily would once again mimic Abby because she would be the closest to Matt when he attacks and she will have to shoot or die. Laura dosent show up at the end however
Chapter 7
If Mike or Jessica or both have been captured they may or may not turn into werewolves. At the pool house eventually the group decides to start heading back to the main lodge. Sam can have the option of attempting to turn her bracelet into a silver bullet.
Chapter 8
When arriving at the main lodge Ashley and Josh and possibly Emily decide to stay in the storm shelter while Sam and Chris go to the junkyard. Werewolf Matt suddenly pops out out and starts chasing down Josh. Here Sam has the option of using silver bullets or regular bullets. If she uses silver and successfully shoots then she kills Matt. If she uses regular and successfully shoots Josh is bitten but both him and Matt remain alive. If she doesn’t make a choice in time or misses then werewolf Matt kills Josh. Either way in the end Sam gives Ashley some silver bullets and her and Chris set off for the junkyard
Chapter 9
At the junkyard Sam and Chris arrive at the crane. Here Sam decides to look at the car while Chris works the crane. While looking through it Silas jumps out at them. Here Chris has the same options as Dylan in the original game and if he blares the car horn then fails the quick time he is killed. If he slams the car and dosent react quickly enough Sam is bitten but they both live. If he was bitten earlier and didn’t amputate he will tell Sam to run and then he turns into a werewolf. If he wasn’t they make their way back to the lodge together.
Chapter 10
You start off playing with Ashley, Emily, and Josh down in the basement or just Ashley or a variation of Ashley and either Josh or Emily. If it’s her by herself it’s a quick chapter of her exploring and then making her way up to the surveillance room. If it’s her and Josh or her, Josh and Emily and Josh hasn’t been bitten basically the same thing happens just with more people. The same occurs if it’s just Ashley and Emily. If it’s Ashley, Emily and Josh and Josh has been bit then as you play as Ashley Josh becomes increasingly aggressive until he turns. Then you have the option to either run to the surveillance room or the entrance to the storm shelter. If Ashley runs to the entrance Josh kills her then kills Emily because Emily was following Ashley. If she chooses to go to the surveillance room Emily runs a bit faster and makes it up first. Ashley follows after her but werewolf Josh rips off the ladder when Ashley is at the very top meaning she has to hold onto one of the top rings to not fall. Here she has to jump up and grab Emily’s hand with a quick time. If she fails she falls and hits her head and back dying instantly on impact. If it’s Ashley and a bitten Josh the choices are also the same but Ashley has to jump up to reach the top instead of to reach Emily’s hand. Josh breaks out through the storm shelters other entrance and he becomes the final werewolf Sam and Chris have to fight once they make it back to the lodge unless he’s not a werewolf in which case Caleb would be the werewolf like normal. In the lodge Sam and Chris would take on the roles of Kaitlyn and Sam with each of them having the death opportunities those characters have in the final chase scene. Or just Sam alone if Chris dies earlier. Eventually Sam will possibly hear Ashley, Emily, and Josh or possibly Ashley or Emily alone or the two of them together banging to give Sam silver bullets. Here the choice is also the same where Sam can either choose to try and shoot Josh/Caleb or try to escape in the kitchen. At the end of the night Jessica and Mike are released and the ending could be any number of Death variations.
I know Josh being the final werewolf is a little weird but I needed there to be a way for every character to die on the same play though so I needed to add it.

At the end of the night Jessica and Mike are released and the ending could be any number of Death variations.
I know Josh being the final werewolf is a little weird but I needed there to be a way for every character to die on the same play though so I needed to add it.

Also, it has to be safe as it will only be me and the baby. I know it’s probably safe everywhere, but I would just prefer it to be (kinda) public with no bears lurking around. My dream location would also either have a Mountain View or be next to a body of water. I don’t mind if we have to walk up to an hour to get there. Thanks for your recommendations.

This is the pasta recipe just the way I would have made it when I was 10 years old and cooking this for my mates at Diablo 2 LAN parties. As the hours tick down for Diablo 4 release I have just finished making a batch, and can't wait for the upcoming weekend.
-Chuck a pan on the heat, and glug some olive oil in, just before smoking point (IE, fucking hot) chuck in your bowl of diced stuff from above and start moving it around straight away as to not scorch the bottom
-After your veg looks good in the pot, throw in the minced beef and bacon
I used to break it into small chunks from the tray it came on and toss it in piece by piece, occasionally stirring quickly in between chunks
-Stand over it and stir constantly like a dickhead because you are 10 years old and you think this is the way, do this until everything is brown (brown meme)
-Chuck the wine in, let it bubble away for a couple of minutes
-Chuck all of the rest of the liquids in
-Bring a big pot of water up to boil, salt it until it is salty like the sea, then chuck your pasta in, cook until al dente -Chuck your pasta and 1 cup of the cheese in to the sauce, and stir around until they are thoroughly introduced -Serve, using the second cup of cheese for topping and cracked pepper on top. Background
We all have different lenses available to us. We view the world through these lenses. We judge, weigh, sum and measure the world around us as it passes us by. Our lenses are tinted by the memories and experiences that age us. Regardless of your lens, it is unlikely that this recipe will speak to you as it does to me. In amongst the blurred haze of moments from 25 years ago are a few clearings. In one such clearing, a memory of this pasta dish resides. Stored safely in perpetuity, clad in armour smithed from purest nostalgia. Time does not weary it, nor do the years condemn. Once more I shall perform the culinary rituals required to summon this beast. Twenty five years ago this pasta fuelled the efforts required to drive a trembling Diablo, horned tail between his legs, retreating back to the bosom of hell. Now we stand on the eve of Diablo 4, ready to play the same game again, with the same frenns, might as well eat the same pasta too. Enjoy.Ingredients
- 1kg beef mince
- 1 large brown onion
- 1 large carrot
- 1 stick of celery
- 5 cloves garlic
- 4 anchovy fillets
- 250 grams of diced bacon
- 1 jar of pitted kalamata olives
- 1 small jar of semi dried tomatoes
- 1 bottle of passata
- 2 tins of chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 500ml of beef stock
- 2 cups of red wine
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tsp dried chilli
- 1 tsp cracked pepper
- 2 cups of grated cheddar (get a block and grate it yourself, trust)
- 1 packet of dried pasta (spag was the OG, but w/e)
- Olive oil / salt
Method

2023.06.01 09:50 Own_Breadfruit_7955 [TOMT] [movie] late 80’s to 90’s action film, Mount Rushmore gets nuked. it was fairly low budget looking along the lines of a van damme film but I don’t think he is the actor.
I don’t really remember the movie I was young and it was around 2006 I saw the end of the movie on tv. I remember a scene clearly where a man (van dame or a guy with similar face structure) is running down this metal catwalk in a bunker in the goofiest way possible. He grabs a suitcase (nuclear football) and runs back to this place to stop a nuke, he ends either diverting it or he fails because I remember the nuke exploding and Mount Rushmore gets obliterated. Been on my mind a while and never found any trace of it.

Finally finished the manga after couple weeks of reading, and boy I have to say: Bleach outgrew my expectations big time. Never tought I would enjoy it this much and being sad it’s over.
Only struggles: - Yhawch was a good villain, but way to OP - sad I didn’t get more info about the soul king, him in action or background information. - Would have loved to see more Horn of salvation/new bankai action. (Again, Yhawch way to OP) - Hated Aizen at the beginning, loved him at the end?

Last night around midnight there were fireworks for 15ish minutes down by the docks, and then one of the cruise liners used its horn for what seemed like ages.Was this in aid of anything particular? Or do the cruise liners just do this when they feel like it?
It seemed pretty late on a Wednesday night...

hi, from 15 years ago i had a dream where i looked in the mirror and saw my horns grow and my eyes turned black and i took a gun and shot at the mirror. for several years I have also been having quite strange dreams and, worst of all, I feel the presence of the same character in real life. a few months ago I dreamed that I was running away from the shadow of the devil who was on the ground and with the next dream he bit me which I stopped dreaming about right after biting my hand… in general, recently I have some strange visions of the future ;/ I don't know what to think about it and how we are driving with my partner sometimes I feel someone next to the car and say hello to this person.. I don't know how to describe it but it's like I know about gender or age and in my head I see her standing ... I don't know what to think about it

I don't want to get into any discussion about the pros or cons of this or physical bullion vs ETFs but I've been investing in GOLD (a Global X fund) since 2016 and have just seen an email from Van Eck noting a fee reduction for their NUGG fund (physically-backed with Perth Mint).
GOLD has a MER of 0.4% while NUGG now has a 0.25% MER.
Is anyone changing their buying preferences going forward? Would you have more faith in the Perth Mint - NUGG vs London Bullion Market vaults? I'm inclined to wait to see if Global X come to the party with a reduction - over the coming months if not I'll direct future investments to NUGG.
Any thoughts?
