They will never know the reallity of those UFO becase they will never try to get something from those UFOs encounters to proof the existence of their Extraterrestial Hypothesis.

I’m 32F and I’ve been casually seeing someone 66M for a few months, but I’m starting to develop feelings. I know he feels the same way, as he’s laid down quite obvious hints. This is the biggest gap I’ve experienced, I think the same for him too but I do know his ex wife (split and divorce within the last 2 years) was 25y younger so the concept is not entirely new to him.
We met through our shared interest/hobby which is something you can do across the country. People tend to know one another as the community is quite small. He is more known than I, firstly just because he’s older and has done it for longer, and secondly because his ex wife is also part of this community. I gather there are no hard feelings between them although of course, a recent divorce will also be at least a little fraught. People in the community appear to also have sided with his ex, because she was there first (I believe she introduced him to them). I don’t know her and have never met her, to be clear - and I reserve no judgment on their marriage because what do I know? None of my business. Closer to home, our friendship circle have asked me privately if something is going on between us. They are concerned that he is taking advantage of me, and is bad news in general. I tell them that we’re just good friends, although it does rattle me a bit - what if they’re right?
My parents are only 3 years his senior and I am dreading their reaction if we became an item. I haven’t told any of my friends except one, because I’m worried they will judge me: 6 months ago I got out of a long term relationship (my decision: I wanted out because of compatibility issues and attitude in relationship) and I told my friends that I wanted to focus on myself. This is true, but this relationship with this 66M guy developed organically in the months following the split. When I confided in my one friend, she was generally accepting though did show a level of … disgust? disbelief? on her face, although was outwardly more concerned for the disruption of my healing from my breakup and potential negative repercussions/ hostility from the wider social circle I mentioned earlier.
The reason why I’m posting here is because I feel uneasy, and I think I’m looking for reassurance, validation or a wake up call. Half of me wants to continue with this guy and see where things go: he is very sweet, kind and attentive, and the dynamic of our connection is different to other partners I’ve had before, it feels very genuine and honest. Background info:
the budget for the car is 5k cash (excluding insurance).
I live in Scotland and there is a grand total of 1 MX-5 within 100 miles that meets the very rough criteria I inputted on auto trader, I have transport available to collect the car in England but I'd REALLY like to only have to make 1 trip.
I drive around 2-4k miles per year.
I don't know anyone who is car-savvy that could help.
Onto the questions about the car itself:
What kind of year and mileage should I be looking at as to avoid the car becoming a money pit? As far as I can see the only major issue is rust, so are the oldehigher mileage ones not too much more expensive to upkeep than their youngelower mileage counterparts?
is the 2.0 engine much better than the 1.8i or does it not really matter? difference in insurance is negligible, and I don't mind the extra fuel costs, but I'm not too sure just how much more expensive the 2.0 is.
Should I avoid the soft top? Id prefer the hard top version but I'm fairly indifferent as long as there's no issues with leaking or anything like that.
Now onto how to actually go about buying one:
Considering I've never bought a car from a private seller and the fact that the nearest MX-5 available is 150+ miles away, would I be correct in assuming that buying from a private seller is a no-go?
Once Ive found a suitable one on auto trader, how do I make sure that I'm not buying a car that will cost me thousands in repairs seeing as I can't go and inspect/test drive it myself? would paying for a third party inspection like AA be the best option?
TLDR: is it at all realistic that I would be able to buy an MX-5 NC that will survive the next 5 years/15-20k miles without needing major repairs, for £5k or less, without seeing/test driving it beforehand and not having much knowledge about cars?

Basically, I work for a small organisation and we need to print reports and small booklets/promotional material every so often. But, we're moving away from printing documents to avoid waste and lessen our environmental impact. If we do print, it is small quantities on a case-by-case basis. For example, previously we'd print a large number of a report and then have hundreds of unused copies sitting around for years. Would it be more cost effective to buy a decent in house printer (for design prints) and set up our own binding and cutting table for the occasional prints, or is outsourcing prints still a better option, even if we need a small number of copies? (And if the latter, is there a mid-range printer for design that you would recommend?) Thanks in advance for any advice!

My family are doing some repair works on our old childhood home and I was asked to chip in (as the most financially stable). Now this isnt the first time Ive been used as a money mule of sorts and usually I’m fine with giving it; I always get it back and I keep track in a little spreadsheet. In this instance I decided I want to take a holiday to Europe instead with what I’ve saved up in my new job. So I politely said “[our] Mum can pay instead considering its her house” and verbatim the response is as below:
“Is it? Must be fine now that you’ve given her the go-ahead.”
“Know your place and don’t be getting brave behind our backs, young man.”
Ill preface this by saying this kind of language towards me has been a common thing my whole life, as the youngest in a large family. So a few hours later I decided to post my flight and hotel on our family chat (petty I know) and was met with an apology for the above statements. I decided to ignore it and later said that I didn’t accept their apology and they were to never ask me for a favour again.
In the past I’ve always accepted their apologies so this is a big step forward for me. My extended family (mainly my aunt and uncle who are also very well off so theyre probably asking them for money) are telling me it might be a good idea to let bygones be bygones but Ive had enough.

About a year ago, I wanted to place and order for two pairs of headphones (one for me, one for my little brother). The first one cost 100€ (Headphones A) and other around 220, discounted to 150 (Headphones B). The order didn't go through as I used stimulus check equivalent as a payment option, so I wrote an email and listed both products and my prefered payment option - both my brothers and my ''stimulus checks''.
Around that time, a lot of people were using those ''stimulus checks'' to purchase electronic devices and tech stores were barely handling the situation. It took them a little less than 3 weeks to get back to me, and I could never get them on the phone.
When they finnaly replied to my email, they wrote ''thank you for your purchase, you ordered headphones B and we've deducted 150€ from your ''stimulus check'' ''. As soon as I noticed, I wrote back that they missed headphones A and they appologised, and within a week I received both pars.
A few of months went by and I checked those ''stimulus checks'' for how much balance they are still holding. I noticed that they in fact deducted 150 from one, but they forgot to deduct another 100 from the other one for the Headphones A. I tried calling them and no answer, however I didn't want to write an email so that there is no written proof of me acknowledging the issue. I had no problem with them deducting the remaining 100, as I already received 2 basically free headphones (paid by the government).
I wainted until the last month of check validity and since no one got back to me, I wanted to buy something with that money, so it wouldn't go to waste. I ended up loosing my pair of headphones B and just bought myself new exact same ones with that check. Of course, different retailer.
I know that beside their pure profit, the firm ended up losing maybe 50€. Even though I know it's wrong I don't feel bad about it as they are a really large retailer. However sometimes I think about what if the firm saw the mistake and deducted those 100€ from some minimum wage workers pay? This is what I feel bad about.

I use the 20$ / month 2gb unlimited plan. I would very much like to use the 50$/month unlimited high speed because then I'd be able to actually use my phone and have high speed internet access all month but that's honestly just extra and a bit much for begging — 20$ plan is more than enough, but the 50$ one would be godly (i don't have internet at home so I just use my phone usually on "slowed down" data, takes a few minutes to check email and what not, but no biggie.)
Either way, if anyone can help with my phone bill of 20$ that is way more than enough and I hope everyone has a great night and good start to the beginning of the month! 🤙
