I've currently completed 2.5 years on my H1B visa with about 6 months left on the original plus a possible 3 year extension.
If I leave for my home country now and plan to return to the US sometime in the future with a job offer, will I have to re-enter the H1B lottery from scratch or will it be cap-exempt? Are there resources online that help answer these situations?

So my sister is 30 and she is the oldest of my siblings. My brother is 28 and I am 21. My sister is a very...self-centered person. Growing up she would pick fights with anyone for anything if things didn't go her way. She was also the sort of person to use emotional blackmail to get her way. To give an example, after she graduated school, she utilized emotional blackmail to essentially economically abuse my parents. To elaborate, my sister, after graduating high-school, she went to school for close to 9 years, changed career-paths 4 times, and basically financed all of this by emotional blackmailing my father to pay
During this entire phase, the only time she ever came home to visit our parents was if she needed some money. She never even came on my dad's birthday unless she needed some money. She would always have an excuse but, on her own birthday, it seemed she always had enough time to borrow money from our dad and go to a club with her friends.
With this background out of the way: My brother recently got married and my sister-in-law (SIL) is an amazing person. She is the sort of person that ensures everyone is involved in everything even if it means compromising her own fun. With this in mind, she would come for all of my dad's birthdays and even on random weekends to make sure my dad and mom were comfortable.
This was great and everyone loved my SIL except for my sister. She, noticing how everyone loved my SIL, became incredibly jealous. It was fine at first but as my parents grew increasingly closer to my SIL and got annoyed at the excuses of my sister to even come for a visit, this became much more. My sister blames all of this on my SIL, saying that she was trying to replace her.
This all boiled over a few weeks ago, when, on our dad's birthday, my SIL helped organize a party for my dad. My sister originally said she was busy so she wouldn't come but when she heard my SIL was there, she drove right over. As soon as she entered she started playing passive aggressive and, after noticing how everyone was thanking my SIL for arranging the party, she burst.
She basically called her a "bitch", a combination of racial slurs and uneducated. She was lucky that my brother wasn't here at the time (he was driving over from his job) or this could have turned ugly.
This pissed me off so much that I basically started swearing back at my sister for yelling at my SIL. The problem is, eventually she, as always, started crying. She basically said she was my older sister so she can yell at whomever she wants and I still have to respect her. Dad, mother, and brother (after he came and learnt what happened), are all on my side, but a few of my aunts and uncles are on her side (They basically said it wasn't my fight to be involved in and she is my elder sister). They told me I should apologize but I have refused. However, I do still feel bad for yelling as it isn't in my nature.

I would say my rec letters were probably pretty good. I got 3 recs total, with at most 2 going to each college depending on what teachers they wanted. I'd known them for all four years of high school some way or another, so I had a more friend-friend relationship with them instead of teacher-student.
Interviews
MIT: My first interview! It was definitely a "I ask you answer" kinda feel instead of conversational. The guy would not stop staring at me and smiling which I think meant he was listening to me intently but I was a bit unnerved
Cornell: He was really nice and funny but he also did most of the talking. I vibed with him though
Princeton: Was given the option to do either in-person or virtual, chose Zoom because I couldn't be bothered to go out of my house. Also I was on vacation when they emailed and I didn't email back until my interviewer sent a follow-up email. The interview itself was good though, she was from the same area I'm from so we had some things in common.
Essays
I spent a hell of a lot of time writing my essays. I had one outside paid tutor look at some of them, but only a couple since I ran out of time near the end and most of the RD essays went unchecked. I really liked my personal statement though. I can explain more in detail if you want to known through DMs but it wasn't anything big and sad and traumatic, I think it was kind of funny and said a lot about my personality/my values.

Reflection (skip to next section if you don't wanna read me ranting about my college choices):
Ultimately, I chose Princeton over the strong public engineering schools (which I think are ranked higher in terms of engineering than Princeton?) because of a couple of reasons:

1. Majors--I tried compsci this year and quite enjoyed it, so I started also considering CS/EE/CE over MechE. At Berkeley switching would be virtually impossible, and it would be difficult at the other public schools as well due to capped major policies and such.
2. Size--I didn't like the size of public schools. I personally know students who loved it, but I really didn't want to go to a big school.
3. Undergraduate programs--Princeton really sold me on their "undergraduate focused" school, basically that due to their very small graduate population a lot of their resources like funding, research opportunities, faculty are much more available to undergraduates than other schools with a large graduate body.
4. Prestige--yeah I'm not gonna lie prestige definitely pushed me and my parents in the Princeton direction, especially as immigrants they were excited about Ivys

Side note: I'm OOS for all publics, but even then I think Princeton had the highest price for me. They did give me financial aid (albeit a very small amount) which helped. Whichever school I chose, my parents had enough savings so I wouldn't have to take out loans, which I'm very grateful about.
Advice:
I'm honestly just as clueless as you are as to college admissions, but here's my take from the past several months. If I had to guess which part of my application got me into these schools--since I know there are people with more "impressive" ECs and awards who got rejected--I would say my essays and everything that comes with them. I wrote them about things that were unique to me, in ways that were unique to me. None of them were about really impactful things, but I'd like to say they were very honest about me and my life, which I think showed my personality really well. In a similar vein, I truly enjoyed my extracurriculars. If I could redo high school, I wouldn't not do any of them. I think this showed in my essays as well. Another note: for a lot of my extracurriculars, I did them for all four years of high school and continued them even after application season, which is definitely a plus as it shows admissions officers commitment and that I'm passionate about what I do, not just starting in junior year for college.

I (20F) want to see my boyfriend next year. I am 20 years old, almost 21. My parents have controlled me my whole life or like to believe they have. They have stopped me from doing many things in my life and continue to do so. I am very tired of them controlling my life. It makes me feel like I have done nothing in my life at all that makes me happy. My boyfriend lives in another country, and he plans to meet my parents next year. When he flys back home after seeing and meeting my parents, I want to fly to his place with him. I will 100% pay for the tickets and my passport since I have a job. Him and his dad plan on coming here to meet them so I can see my boyfriend in a different country since they restrict me from seeing him alone. I understand that safety reasons and why they say no, but since they will be meeting him, I want to stay with him for a couple months after they meet him. I know they will still say no after that and will continue to do so no matter how many times he comes.
My parents always have been very judge mental and want me to get a boyfriend who is smart, financially stable, good looking, and what not. But I only look for a man who will treat me like a princess, and he does, he notices the little things and makes me so happy. He is so good looking to me and is smart to me! I truly look up to him, but in my parents eyes, they might not see that.
My parents always talks about going on vacation because they need a break from the kids and whatnot. They have always done that my entire life, every week go one vacation because they needed a break from me. So this is my vacation to take a break from them and school. It will be good for me mentally. I just want to tell my parents I am getting a passport and getting tickets, if they say no, then I will tell them they better save up for a passport and tickets. Most nights, after an early dinner we’d return to our hotel rooms and I’d crumple onto the bed and sleep for fourteen to fifteen hours. Grief, like depression, made it hard to accomplish even the simplest of tasks. The country felt wasted on us. We were numb to all spectacle and feeling, quietly miserable and completely clueless as to how to help each other. By the time we arrived in Huê, we’d reached the halfway point of a two-week trip that was beginning to feel far too ambitious, even painstakingly long. All I wanted to do was go home. I longed to hide in my bedroom and dissociate with the comforts of my PlayStation and its soothing farming simulation games, not wake up at six a.m. to take a van tour of another pagoda and marketplace while my father bartered for half an hour over the equivalent of a couple of USD.

I don't regard myself as an expert at this game but I play almost exclusively on Lethal now.
I rarely pull any crew from my Legacy Pool, but I do "lean" on the Legacy Pool to overcome problems (call it spamming or savescumming or cheesing I don't mind) with getting from "launch" to having the Infirmary built - as you will see it is not in my gameplan to do that "super early" and I have typically eliminated 5+ hearts before establishing the Infirmary.
I don't use things like the firework gun thing and generally I avoid calling in the Impaler.
Below is Drucker County. This is at "pre boon mission" - and I will probably restart the map rather than do the Boon mission, as I have already done them all and they are boring.
For reference at the end of the game, I have survived 12 days: less than 2 weeks. That means killing 2 or 3 hearts a day. I'm pretty sure this time around I had no community deaths, although I did exile a couple of people and I think one might have been plague effected after getting a heart to a phase.
Here is my community having just killed the last heart. Nobody has maxxed all 5 stats yet, and only 2 have maxxed anything at all - Vasquez was recruited with Automechanic already maxxed... I have finished the game occupying Wallys Bar and Grill (the cafe type place in Santa Maya, the centre of the map). None of my characters are Sheriffs - so I have not been able to "finish" the Lounge.

For this walkthrough I used Builder and Sheriff boons. I find Trader and Warlord dump a bunch of stuff on you at the start which simply amps the starting difficulty without particularly providing a long-term benefit.

The image below shows what I do before I claim the Vogel House. Note I do make a fair bit of use of...

1. A known location for a jerry can
2. Using my whole team as pack mules
3. Finding cars to load Rucksacks into, BEFORE claiming the base.

The new update has decreased item 3 quite a bit: I have learned through trial and error that waking a heart before claiming the starter house is a Bad Idea (tm).
Pre claiming Vogel
The diagram below shows the circuit I do before I claim Vogel House. But first, Ferals: I have found that with Update 33 I am running into more ferals than previously. My answer to this is in three parts:

1. Honestly if it happens as soon as you start, go straight in. They seem easier to kill with 3 newbies who are not tired even if all they have is pipes.
2. At the gun shop give your two partners whatever gun you can find, ideally a shotgun stuns a feral and that can solve a lot of problems when there are 3 of you.
3. At least one of the characters having a Blunt heavy weapon.

When there are 3 of you these 3 tactics seem to get the job done.
Also, prior to update 33 - the hearts were the hearts. I am now finding I need to be a lot more timid to avoid things like screamers or killing plague zombies waking hearts up during this part of the game.

A: the starting makeshift camp where you can access your Command Centre, and drop off items which fit in a backpack.
1: where the car is at the start of the game. 2: by this point you should have found a petrol can. 3: a campsite where you can usually find something useful. 4: generally you will find one or two ranged weapons and maybe a workshop mod in the gun store in town. After clearing these out you will go to the makeshift camp. From the makeshift camp you return to your car. Note: the earlier you find a car then your journey might not change much but your approach to rucksacks WILL change. You want to have "all cars full" plus two of your 3 beginner characters carrying a ruck. In your car travel to 5. Here you can pick up fuel - both a jerry and a ruck - and materials. You should also be able to find one or two plague locations.
Don't hang around!
Travel to 6. Between 5 and 6 you should be looking for hearts while avoiding doing anything that will wake them up.
If you find a car, drop off the rucks you're carrying.
Go via 7 - if there is a chance, loot one or both the food locations here.
Back to the makeshift camp. Empty all backpacks. Reallocate rucks.
Head off to 8. I like to secure but not loot on the way north to 9.
9 is a checkpoint. More weapons and an ammo ruck. You might prefer to leave the ammo ruck behind because you will return to 8 where you will probably find more rucks than you can carry.
This is when I finally claim Vogul House.
Then the Materials World mission starts. Ideally by now I have found 1x heavy weapon - even a driveshaft club is good enough.

Generalyl there will be about 5 hearts in this south-west portion of the map. You need to be a bit cautious to work out which one/s you can do without waking any of the others. With each of your 3 characters - the goal is, pick up anything that isn't a material ruck from the previous step, while killing 2 hearts per character. Chances are if you are as bad as me you will get at least 50% plagued "by accident" - if this happens, head home. As soon as you can - call in an enclave. You need them for fuel, toolboxes, maybe stim items, maybe a weapon.
Don't hang around and loot if it seems dangerous: go back with the healthy character, and do it without taking risks, to manage fatigue.

you probably have 2x heros,
and you should be thinking about claiming the cell-phone tower near Vogul House to manage crowds / prevent accidental waking of plague hearts.
Those hearts on the South of the map are usually close enough to trigger a chain reaction of wakening. What you really don't want is to accidentally trigger the ones clustered in the centre of the map near the hospital up there.
From there I went and did the isolated heart in the medical centre in the middle of nowhere.
I actively used the (new to release 33) Disruptor feature of the cell-tower, as well as, relocating which cell tower I claimed all over the map, to use the (new to release 33) "land mine" feature.
I moved my other outposts periodically as well, for the same reason, and to simplify character change-over while taking out hearts.
All this was done without accessing anyone from the legacy pool, or any military recruits.
I did recruit from enclaves to disband the ones with the sucky benefits.
I did recruit from the mechanics enclave, and wound up with a champion auto-mechanic (plus someone to exile).

I know you have to be realistic so do you think the country can really grow in a way that can be much better than now?
In simpler terms from where they are ranked in the FIFA ranking, in maybe 10 years could you see them jump maybe below 100 to the 80s to maybe low 70s and even high 60s?
Another realistic goals could be developing a better following like for the for the PFL to be much more mainstream even if basketball and maybe even volleyball still trumps all.
It might be niche but maybe the regions with great football love like. Negros and Visasayas, will have really strong and passionate cultures that their clubs have legit crowds weekly on game days like in the best leagues in the world.
I also hope to see the league really grow and legit have clubs that are real and can resemble what we see in Europe or even in smaller countries in South America.
I see videos of fans from clubs like Roma, Sevilla, etc, and their anthems and feel this is something missing in the people of the Philippines. The country has no hope and I know sports is just sports but simometimes it’s not, and while ultra and being super into sports can be toxic, I do think it’s simply a fun way to enjoy like and give something to the people. The Philippines not just in football but even basketball need the sports leagues here tocbe like Europe than the cringe American PBA we have. Philippines are passionate but can be so much better. I just feel the potential for football is still here and even as someone like me who loves basketball more than football, I have grown in love with football more and more each years for the last decade and I believe that football is just a sport every country should try to compete in. I think it’s the world sport because of this and I hope Filipinos see this as more than a sport for entertainment. I feel like having clubs that draw thousands each game will be a positive for this country and instill a better culture that is more connected to the country than it is today.
Lik I said trying to be realistic so don’t know if a WV appearance can be apparent within this time frame, but if the country has a legit superstar world class prospect like a Messi, Madadona, or to a lesser extent a Mpappe, you think that can increase the chances more higher for this country. I know it’s hard to get that talent with the culture here, but I really feel there is that one or two kids here that can really play with the young kids in the academies in Europe.

[TW] [TL;DR] I'm extremely helpless and lonely. I feel like I don't even have the strength to cope up w life for even one more day. I'm breaking inside and struggling with terrible anxiety and depression since the last 6 years. Everyday I thought it'll get better someday but trust me, it has only gotten worse. My cousins who's been the closest to me and we live together since birth, took my phone, opened my whatsapp through web in my dad's laptop, and showed my dad my entire fucking chats with every person I know; including my sexchats w my boyfriend; i was sleeping and they unlocked my phone thru my fingerprint, opened vault and showed all my photos with my bf some of which were not even suitable for him to see... I have major TRUST ISSUES and I'm an introvert...
I'm in a relationship since the last 3 years and been bestfriends since 4.5 yrs. If there's any song, any phrase or any example that'd explain you enough how much I love that guy, I'd mention that. I've loved him with my entire might, soul, every last piece of anything to give was left within me, I've given that to him... in return I do have a lot of happy memories... happy days... sadly, story isn't that good. I've been abused. Emotionally, mentally and physically. (Physically, not sexually) I've been hurt physically, slapped, outside in public too and in closed rooms too, called names, told things that gives me chills to even think about. I was told "I wish your parents never planned to have you. You are their biggest mistake and now they live miles away but I'm the one tolerating their shitty outcome." I was also told "You should die. Nobody cares. I don't. Bcoz if you don't, I know I'll kill myself as being w u is a torture." I spent so many nights crying bcoz he'd treat my like this, I couldn't sleep but after all this, he'd sleep peacefully beside me. I get terrible panic attacks now and I'm hyper-defensive if somebody criticises me bcoz I have it enough already; he says "na shakal di, na dimaag diya, teri jagah main hota hai main ab tak sharam se hi marr jata but tu kaise muh utha ke jee rahi hai." I am underconfident but I try to be ambitious and trust myself; he'd say "tujhse kuch nahi hoga life mai."
He has PTSD, he lost his mom 6 years back and never recovered. But he refuses to take any therapy. But the same man also told me that he cannot imagine his life without me and he loves me.
I loved him so much. I did everything I had the ability to do. I gave him surprises bcoz he said he has never had birthday parties before. I cook him food bcoz he doesn't have a mother to do that and he says he never feels home at his home... so I tried my best to make his new flat very homely. I set it up... I respected him always... assured him as much as I could that however life's gonna be, I'll stand by you... in DKI's sense, totally loved him like I'd love a child sometimes bcoz my poor heart couldn't take that how much pain he had endured in his young age... i dont make enough money, rent, transportation sab mila kar barely khaane ka paisa bachta hai... but whenever I see a sale, I shop for him... the minute he says he doesn't feel good, I'd find ways to make his day better...
He lies to me. A lot. He's lied a lot in the past and that got me trust issues. Major major trust issues. And he hates me for the fact that I cannot trust him...
Guess what? I am the DOORMAT. and I know if you'll have read it so far, you guys have started hating me too probably... or feeling disgusted by my story
But I'm sorry... I dont have anyone to talk to and I feel like giving up on life.

I moved in with a family shortly after the start of 2020. This family hosted exchange students every school year from various places around the world. It should be noted that I have autism, with a mental capacity of 10 years in some situations. so they have experience from dealing with people like me. Mental problems and all that.
Anyway, a couple years ago at the start of the school year, we had an exchange student move in with us. I don’t remember where he was from, but I do remember he had autism. He seemed like a nice guy at first, but then in November, things took an unexpected twist. One day I was getting my things together to take a shower. The family I am living with owned a house that had two floors. The door leading outside lead to a landing that divided the house into two levels. Upstairs and the basement. I stayed in the basement level. I used the bathroom down there mostly to store my things like my body wash, shampoo and deodorant. Exchange students had also put their toiletries in there too and a separate shelf. Both of our shelves had bins that had our names on them.
The day before the wife and mother of the family, who I’ll call H, knew I had taken a shower the day before. And as such I always had used my deodorant whenever I got out of the shower. But on this day when I went to collect my things, my deodorant wasn’t there. This puzzled me and H as she knew I had used my deodorant after I had my shower the day before. I gave a very thorough search and came up empty. So I had had to take a shower without my deodorant. I was upset. Mentally of course. My day went on as normal after that. But then the next day, I went to check the bathroom downstairs to confirm a hunch. And what I found confirmed what I had hoped for. My deodorant was right on my shelf where it should be.
I got so excited like a 10 year old and told H. I later learned from her and her husband, who I’ll call D, that the exchange student had claimed to borrowed my deodorant without permission because he rain out of his own. Don’t worry about hygiene. I use the spray on cans. He did likewise. But then H & D gave me news that made me surprised. This is where Karma had stepped in, being a believer of the Supernatural sense of justice myself. The exchange student was being send back to his home country because he had violated a few other house rules. The incident with my deodorant was the last straw. But before he was send home, he had to not only apologize to me, he had to buy me a new can of spray deodorant of the same brand.
What happened next was a first dose of Karma for me. He not only bought me a new can of what I was using at the time, but he bought 3 cans of the stuff. I was very surprised at this and thanked him for the deodorant and accepted his apology.
Now you’re probably wondering why I said my first dose of Karma. The reason I said this is because I had already bought everybody in the house and my own biological family their Christmas present. the reason I do this is because I like to do this in advance before December to avoid the Christmas shopping madness and so I don’t do my shopping at the last minute. And this incident had taken place after I had done my shopping. All of the gifts were gift cards as they were a way to give people money to use for their favourite things. One of these gift cards was for the local shopping mall in my city. That one was for the exchange student.
Once I learned he was going home, I knew I couldn’t give him his present. He left shortly after and I never heard from him at the time I’m writing this. But this is where I got my second dose of Karma. The family I’m living with we’re going to see family for the New Year. And whenever they went out, I had someone come over to housesit me. Because of my disability, I needed someone to watch over me when I was home alone. Reminding me to turn off the stove in case I forgot and take my meds. The only exception to that was when I was housesitting my family’s house. But I still kept in touch with H & D during that time. This particular person who watches me most of the time was a friend of the family I live with. I hadn’t thought of getting her a present. But then D told me I could give the friend, I’ll call her J, the gift card for the mall. I decided to take his advice and did just that.
In regarding the deodorant the exchange student bought me, I had saved a lot of money for groceries and other things with all of those cans I had. That was the first time had had experience Karma. The only times is when things go my way is when I find a really cool fan art that had terrific artwork, or a render of a favourite character from movies, TV shows, comics and video games in a perfect pose and resolution, or a screencap of a scene from the four things I said earlier. Doubt I would get another experience like that anytime soon, but it was the best experience I ever had yet.

Basically what the title says. I applied for LOA because I’m going out of the country but haven’t heard back. Sedgwick says they’re waiting on partner resource manager or DM for approval but I haven’t heard back from anyone..? I also just transferred stores so I’m in between home stores. The dates I’m going to be gone are coming up soon. Don’t really know what to do.

Hi. So my cpr is expired from last year. Now Im currently under my husband's visa. We've been married since 2018 but my first cpr was wayback when I'm still employed. I have lots of questions:

1. ive tried doing appointment online but Isa Town is always fully booked been trying to book for weeks now since last month. I called them they said I need an appointment (?)
   
2. Do i still need stamp from MOFA even though my marriage cert is already Apostille from my home country?
   
3. someone mentioned to me i need to go to court for another stamp (?) Me and my husband are non bahraini and non muslim.
   
4. my municipality letter is under my single name (my original name) but my passport now is married name so I am confused wether they will accept it and change my cpr name to my married name?
   

Please do let me know Ive been problematic with this ever since we came back in Bahrain last March and until now I dont have my CPR. Im so lost, company of my husband is not helping us out. They said just call and ask whats the process. Please help Im having hard time in appointments I really want to go to Isa town asap but dont want to waste my time if they wont accommodate me without the appointment.
