I love FFG Star Wars game system. The narrative dice in this system have rejuvenated my love for gaming. So all know, I am not throwing shade at this system. Not by any means!
However, I am a long time veteran of the old West End Games D6 system and I loved the heck out of that system for decades.
One of the coolest aspects of WEG D6 was in their 2nd edition with “Character Points.” [Quick review for those who have forgotten or not familiar: Character Points were essentially experience points that could be spent like traditional XP points for raising skills. OR, a player could elect to BANK the Character Points and then use them in a following session for those ‘key critical MUST SUCCEED’ rolls. In that case, a player could look at unspent Character Points and tell the GM: “Hey, I really need to shoot that bounty hunter - if I don’t X, Y and Z will happen! So, I will throw 3 Character Points at this next Blaster skill check and hope I can beat the difficulty…”. Player gathers the dice for his Blaster skill and then ADDS ONE extra D6 for every Character Point he declared spending and rolls the whole mess of dice to see if he surpassed the difficulty…]
This was cool in that players could push their characters past their limits in a super-stressful situation / key moment in the game session.
It gave the players hope for success in near-impossible circumstances. It also gave the player a sense of affecting the story in a critical moment by choosing how to spend their game resources [the Character Points awarded as XP at the end of every session].
And, there was also the WEG D6 system’s approach to “Force Points.” You were given one at character creation and encouraged to spend that point in key moments to save the beautiful Princess, etc. And if the GM felt you were appropriately ‘heroic’, then you would likely get your Force Point BACK and likely a chance to earn an ADDITIONAL.
Anyways, with all of this floating in the back of my mind, I was reading the Force & Destiny Core Rulebook and was in the GM Chapter when I got to table 9.2 Common Conflict Point Penalties on page 324. And it got me thinking: “Makes sense to assign Conflict to PCs when they do bad things. But … what about when they do REALLY REALLY COOL HEROIC things…?!?!”
I know, I know. This is Star Wars. Of course they are doing COOL HEROIC things all the time! [Unless you are running a Dark Side / Imperial / ISB campaign - but that is a whole different thread…]
What about when a PC goes out of his way and risks his neck to save an NPC child from a band of ruthless slavers…? That is just part of the story, right? Right. But what if the GM rewarded that exceptional heroism…?
More XP? Sure. Cool gear? Sure. Those are all legit ways to reward cool role playing. But what about exceptional ‘heroism’…? And this doesn’t have to be limited to ‘Jedi-types’ but to any PC doing the cool, life-risking movie cinematic moments that make the stories so fun and so fulfilling to play.
What about rewarding that player with … a blue dice or three…? :)
That the player could “pool” and save on his character sheet to be spent in that NEXT key, MUST WIN moment…? JUST LIKE WEG D6 “character points” to be pulled out at that climactic “got to hit the evil Sith Lord” moment…?
Some say FFG already has this problem solved with the Destiny Points being flipped. Well….not always. I know I have spent a Destiny Point, rolled and still failed spectacularly. But, a few extra Blue Dice / Boost Dice could have changed the outcome for the better…
TL;DR Anyway, this was a thought I had: combining some of the Character Point mechanics from WEG D6 and trying them out in FFG Star Wars.

i really need to get this one out for other perspectives.I (f 16)had been apart of an online friendgroup that barely lasted a year from 2020 until 2021.Things ended on extremely bad terms and i dont really want to go into details but ill briefly summarise.Things had been problematic around the group members because of issues we couldnt handle because of bad communication or just being too afraid to speak up.So of course these issues just escalated further until some of including me drifted away slowly.The friendgroup parted in a way that we basically had groups within the group,you know.But that wasnt really a solution for me and my other friends who were deeply hurt by the action of the other people in the group.Since i cant hand out names ill just say that we were 7 people,1 was not always active inside of the group but we were still all close with them separately,leaving 6 active members.And from those 6 people there was a formed trio that slowly started to drift away and do things together as a trio and just excluding the rest.That also includes just blatantly ditching on us when we had plans all together.One example was that me and two friends of the group were actively watching a show together(this was known to the other members and of course sometimes we had another friend watching an episode with us,we were act rlly glad ab that.This was all done in a discord server we all were in too)and when we finally got a night to continue watching together as we couldn’t due to busy schedules,that one friend who was in that infamous trio just basically ditched us to be in a voice call(that was again,very public to our eyes since we had a privat server for all of us)with the said trio.That pissed me off very much and that person,lets call them M noticed that very much too but only texted our friend about it without reaching out to me.I only found out about that after the conflict after the friend(not M)reached out to me. But now to the conflict part.Unfortunately all of those bottled up emotions escalated so that we,the remaining three,snapped.We werent really nice about approaching it since we were pissed and basically letting out all of those ugly bottled up emotions.I personally regret lashing out to a very specific person of that trio because i used to be very close to them.But the day after the conflict we made a small groupchat(we had a discord server and an imessage group,as well as each others various social medias)talking about how we shouldnt have lashed out too much.That lead to me apologising to M but not to the person I lashed out on.Oh sorry,let me make it a bit clearer. The trio contained of person P,person M and person T.So basically the day after the conflict P sends this long paragraph saying that they want to work out things for themselves and wanting to leave the group.I dont know why,but i never apologised to P,most definitely because i thought i was right at the moment.I dont know if im a bad person for this,but i personally dont think my lashing out specifically on person P was uncalled for.I sure regret some snarky comments i made but i also still deeply cared about them.I was a hurt kid (it was around middle school quarantine times i was in the group)at the time and also remember crying after sending my last text to person P.And i think you can guess where im leading on to. After person P left the group,the rest of the trio suddenly did not want to talk things through.Person M ignored our texts and person T had a weird change in behaviour. Cutting this whole thing short since it wasnt what i wanted to talk to in the friend place:Person P deletes all of their social media that we have of them and person T and M leave the group too. That for matter of fact had me raging. And here comes the main thing,after some months my friend(f 17)of the old friendgroup (whom i still have a very close relationship with)sends me a very sketchy twitter account.It was person P. Oh boy i was livid.P basically made a whole new internet identity in which they continued to post their regular stuff.They had a new name which they had on various platforms like tiktok too and even blocked us on our main accounts meaning they really wanted to avoid us specifically.Fortunately(or actually unfortunately)my friend and i had privat accs on tiktok which we got back on to after the fallout.I personally didnt want to go on my main acc anymore because it just hurt me so much.And then hell just begun honestly. That friend and i never healed,i blame it on us being teenagers but also just on our personalities.Were both quite emotional and really deep in touch with our inner conflicts.We often reflect our behaviour and see it as wrong but we also cant stop.So yeah,we started to stalk Person P on a regular basis,at least me.As i also said before,person P and me were very close before the conflict and we also had a lot of common interest and unfortunately trauma bonding too.I couldnt really let go because i was just so confused on how quick person P was to move on as i was still really emotionally unstable.Some months later person P deleted all of their social media again but recently,after almost a year theyre back.This time i found out when i jokingly went through the twitter following of person M who didnt block me on twitter.Thats actually something i do to friends and such too its just when im bored really.Except i didnt actively stalk person M,it just came into my mind after months and thats when i saw it.And also to make one thing clear,my friend and i didn’t actively try to stalk or find out any new information about all of them.Since only person P deleted all of their social media,we of course still had access to M and Ts platforms so we sometimes would check them out to see what theyre up to.Thats also not a good thing to do and i acknowledge that but thats also my main problem.So back to the story,Person P made another acc.Its the same internet identity though.And as much as i said i healed from this to my friends,im still deeply hurt.I feel betrayed in a way,that person P said they wanted to work out on themselves but still were so close with the former trio members.Im still so bitter about it and i cant stop checking their acc,looking if they posted anything.Im also having a lot of impulsive thoughts,like commenting on their acc with an acc that they couldnt mistake as anyone but me(i didnt do it and i dont plan on doing it just to keep my pride)but i want a reaction,a conformation that they still think of me because i cant stop.I dont know if i should ever text them.I still have their number on my old phone but i blocked them so i stop myself from impulsively texting.I just cant stop those impulsiv thoughts.I want to have one last conversation with all of them,but mostly also with P.But ill regret it and honestly i dont want to be friends with them anymore.But i cant stop this obsession and that my friend is also as deep as i am in it doesnt help me Im just still really hurt and i dont know what to do about it.Sometimes i wish i never met them at all I also tried to really control myself and stop me from checking out their accounts and it honestly didnt help me really much,it only made the catching up on information when i finally gave up my self restraints make me feel worse.And i know thats just a me problem that i need to work on myself but i really need advice on how to heal properly.Because nothing really works.Im still haunted by all of those 'what ifs' and if they all think about me like i think about them too. I find it ridiculous that this whole thing is still bothering me and i honestly needed to rant about this

Hi all! I’m definitely chatty, and I wonder if anyone has any tips with keeping a nice balance so i’m not overly burnt out from being chatty with *everyone* or giving away too much attention for free? Right now I’m only on chaturbate, but looking to start streamate by the end of the year and trying to find this balance is something that I struggle with since I’m a relatively new model, and its much easier for me to be bubbly and chatty the entire time.
When I try to just sit there and ONLY talk when tipped, I definitely get bored and start to lose interest in even being online. But if someone comes in and starts talking, of course I wanna talk back, but I’m never sure how *much* to speak before reeling it back…cuz I can go on forever lmao. It’s what makes me love camming, I’m chatty by nature and definitely thrive haha
Part of me thinks seduction plays a role. Knowing how to tease and give away just enough, but I’m not sure how that works conversation wise, especially on chaturbate where I’m more likely to be talking a lot especially with my regulars.

My name is Matt and I'm seeking a brave adventurer to start a D&D 5e pen and paper game set in my homebrew world of Urth during the weekend! In this game I've challenged myself to use as few online resources as possible to create the world and adventure. I've managed to find 3 other party member's already, and wish to hold a session 0 with you. The other party members are folks that I have procured from Reddit so no pressure of walking into an established friend group. Our party are from all kinds of timezones so feel free to apply
As a bit of background on myself, I'm a happily married 28 year old man, living on the West Coast of the US; I've played in 4 campaigns spanning over the past 6 years or so, both D&D 5e and Pathfinder, online and in person and have DM'd 2 one shots on roll20. I understand if you are cautious as to my lack of DMing experience but I'm a dedicated, stable, and consistent person who strives to deliver a quality product to my future friends. :)
To start off the Adventure I'd like to have you create a character over a session 0, where I'll give details about Urth and you should feel free to create world elements of your own to fit a backstory for your player character. I encourage everyone to be open with most aspects of their character to foster excitement but I also see the value in keeping some parts of your characters past a mystery as well.
The Game will be played on the Saturday mornings/Afternoon as we do have an established first session on April 22nd 10:30 PST during 5+ hour sessions in a Monthly to 3 week (possibly 2 week) frequency depending on scheduling issues as everyone of has a life outside of the game. We will begin at 3rd level as you are a semi experienced adventurer in your own rite and end the campagin around roughly level 17 to 20. The only restrictions that I'm imposing for narrative reasons are specific races, I will list them below for you to decide if you are willing to make a character and play in the campaign. In addition homebrew subclasses are an option but we'll only be using any of the 14 available classes in the D&D sourcebooks. The Races have been changed in both historical description and theme so please keep that in mind, so as to not create a full fledged character before hand.

I intend for this to be a pen and paper game, however I will not limit you if you wish to use resources like D&D beyond and the like. I only mean that I will be making simple maps to use on webcam and not be utilizing online resources, as that is my challenge, not yours. I want to give you all as close to an "in-person" experience as possible while likely being across the world from each other. I will be wearing a costume and do my best impressions of NPC's for both your amusement as well as mine. That is to say that I don't expect you to be a master-class roleplayer, so please don't judge my goofy theatrics too harshly.
As a few out of game related rules It is imperative that everyone in the game be 18+, as it is possible that there may be some themes that may be not suitable for minors (Nothing NSFW of course). The game is meant to be celebrated but not to it's detriment so please don't become overly intoxicated both in alcohol or drugs, before or during the game.

Did you imagine when Grand Theft Auto V came out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2013, that we'd be seeing a fresh retail re-release of it nine years later? Much like The Elder Scrolls Part V: Skyrim—which hails from the same era—GTA V has been an enduring success and is about to get its third re-release.
There's no fancy subtitle or name change; Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series XS consoles on March 15th. That's not to say it's exactly the same experience, though. The versions for the current-gen consoles support 60 FPS, HDR output, ray-tracing, "improved texture quality," faster loading times, "immersive 3D audio," and support for platform-specific features, like the PS5's DualSense haptics.
gtaonline carwash Specifically, there will be a fidelity mode that targets native 3840×2160 resolution with ray tracing and a 30 FPS cap. (Xbox Series S will use upscaling to hit 4K.) Before you sneer at that, note that console versions of GTA V have always had a 30 FPS cap—until now: the new release's "performance mode" will target 60 FPS with dynamic resolution scaling up to 4K, but without ray tracing.
Most interesting to the majority of gamers will probably be the "Performance RT" mode. This mode, available only on the PS5 and Series X, is basically just performance mode with ray tracing enabled. Most likely, it will simply use a lower dynamic resolution to achieve higher-than-30 FPS while keeping ray tracing features. Depending on the upscaling method Rockstar uses, this mode could still look quite good.
Of course, the whole reason that Grand Theft Auto V is still the sensation that it is lies in its online mode. Rockstar has always talked about Grand Theft Auto Online as if it were an entirely separate game, and that's understandable given the differences in their content. But after the re-release launches, it will in fact be available as an entirely separate game—and it'll be free for the first three months after launch on PS5.
gtaonline fukaru The technical changes to Grand Theft Auto V largely apply here, although there's probably still not going to be any animals in Online. Instead, Rockstar is implementing several content updates for the re-launch. The Los Santos Car Meet expansion is getting an expansion of its own called Hao's Special Works, and a "Career Builder" feature will be available for fresh characters to help them get a foothold in Los Santos' seedy underbelly.
If you're already an accomplished crime boss in GTA V or GTA Online using an older console version, you can transfer your progress to the new systems. For story mode, open the game and go to "Game" in the pause menu, then select "Upload Save Game" to send it to the Rockstar Social Club cloud servers. GTA Online progress will transfer automatically, although Rockstar cautions players that purchased GTA$ won't transfer across platforms (i.e. PlayStation to Xbox, or vice versa.)
You'll be able to start playing the remastered version of GTA V on March 15, with physical copies coming available In April. We asked Rockstar when these changes would be coming to the PC version, but haven't heard back yet. We'll update this story when we do.

How important is WLP or any other method of protecting your own energy, especially for those experiencing a KA? I think I intuitively knew this during the beginning of my KA, and back then I was feeling much stronger (I was meditating much more often back then), both in terms of my will power and confidence, though it didn't last for very long.
I'm slowly starting to realize, even though I'm not really gifted in the psychic sense, that I may be unconsciously picking up other people's negative energies and vibrations, both online and in person. I was always pretty sensitive to external influences, but never intuitive enough to understand that I may be inflicting more harm to myself because of my own vulnerability and sensitivity, and thus unconsciously picking up on other people's vibrations and external influences. It was only after my KA that I noticed significant energy drainage after taking the subway downtown and back, but that could be due to multiple other reasons. Also realized a few months ago that we could be affected by words we read from books and people online as well. Words are indeed powerful haha. They can travel across time, and it carries the person's intentions and emotions in the pages of the book, which then travels to us and as a result we feel the emotions and messages that the author is trying to convey. Ah, maybe that's why I don't really read spiritual literature anymore. Lol I just noticed that haha... interesting. Of course, we ourselves can negatively affect others, so it's not a one-way road, but more specifically talking about the world inflicting psychic harm on us, even if people are doing it entirely unconsciously.
Now, tbh, because I haven't actually "seen" or "felt" the presence of other negative entities that supposedly normal people can't see, so I'm still on the fence about believing that such things exist. In all likelihood, maybe they do, but I wasn't never really interested in "other dimensions" and occult stuff, but who knows, maybe when I'm dealing with particularly tough times and my mind isn't in the right frame of mind, these so-called entities are able to enter my mind and directly affect my personal energy. Never really gave much thought to "protecting" my own energy, so are WLP or other methods of personal protection basically a requirement after a KA? I have done it on and off over the past year and a half, without really noticing any major changes. But I think I need to do it regardless of whether I notice anything or not. I'm not strong enough to protect my own sensitivity and vulnerability to the world yet, and so this would be a good first practice to keep my aura protected from darker influences. I have mentioned this before, but I can't really meditate currently. Not sure if I'm just physically unable to do it, or because there's some sort of mental barrier creating fear or that I'm unconsciously directing the energy to my head everytime I try to meditate, but the energy tends to rise uncomfortably into my head whenever I try closing my eyes to meditate and it becomes difficult to concentrate and stay focused on other things afterwards. Basically, it's gets really uncomfortable in my head with increased pressure flaring from both sides of my temple. If I just randomly close my eyes (like when I'm tired), and there's no "intention" to meditate, there's no problem at all. And I don't know how to "not" focus on my head when I'm actively trying to meditate. Focusing on other areas of my body seems to have the same effect. But gentle yoga is usually fine for me, so it's not a major do or die issue. I'm sure things will eventually settle down.
So another question is: would a quick 2-3 minute WLP meditation suffice and be helpful? Maybe doing it a few times a day? I've read the WLP instructions from this subreddit and try to do the same visualization with the white light, but curious to see if others have noticed major improvements in their energy states after implementing it into their daily routine.

Alright I’m gonna be straight forward I cheated my way through the time where covid made everything online, and I’m basically a student who never even tried to learn for years, and with no foundation what so ever in math or previous civil courses yet I’m currently 3 semesters from graduating. I keep trying to keep up but it’s very overwhelming and I can never understand at the pace the instructors teaches. Obviously because they are teaching students who should by now be able to understand and link the problems and tackle them on their own. My problem is that my whole studying foundation has been nonexistent for years and now I’m trying to fix that. What should i do ? Time is running out, i have already dropped out from 2 previous semester and this is my last chance.
