Im a semi lucky person.. I have a disability that doesnt allow me to work.. I cant drive, I 'earn 30k a year, I live alone, I shop on roughly roughly on 50$ a week shopping.. BUT I dont care.. I can afford my rent so all good.... im more worried others.
I went for a walk along the Glenelg esplanade the other day and I see people sleeping on the grass at 6 degrees at night in sleeping bags.... I walk through the southern parklands at night.. I walked on south road in morphett vale and looked at people literally sleeping on CONCRETE ! footpaths... I have NOTHING yet I feel like an ASSHOLE because I cant give these people more than a few $$'s.. I gave a dude on Currie street 30 dollars and he said to me.. WOAH THANKS MATE ! like it was a one in a million... in shock when I walked past him..
Then I see guys complaining on reddit (I wont mention which people..because I dont wana create debate)..
Then I see the news... some politician worth 20 million with 60 investment properties telling me I shoulda' worked harder earlier in life and I wouldn't be in my current situation ...
I dont give a shit about myself anymore, yet I cant do anything about people doing it 50 times tougher than myself...
I hear about home owners crying about interest rates and how their latest rates FORCES them to increase their rents by 200% ??? yet I walk the streets of Adelaide seeing more AND MORE people living in parks, concrete and footpaths...
I see people protesting about CLIMATE change and abortion rights, yet their fellow 'brothers' freezing on the streets.. YES I agree climate change is a problem but who gives a shit when everyone cant afford anything.. who cares if the world goes to hell when you are already LIVING in hell ?
everyone seems to follow this clichè.. all are homeless are meth heads or alcoholics, or all baby boomers are rich coonts, or all GEN Y are *whatevers* .. ETC ETC...
Does anyone care about the guy next door OR are you just SAYING U DO ?? until it affects you personally ? all I read is 'I support the homeless'.. until the guy sleeps in your front yard... then you call the cops to get rid of the poor guy so he doesn't disrupt you when you mow your lawn on the weekend. OR your next Adelaide post delivery ?
Seriously its so depressing when this kind of stuff comes up and NO MATTER what you say, people in a better situation than tell you (and others...), " well you should of just tried harder in life " .. the gap between rich and poor grows but noone fights for their rights until the last moment when its too late to do anything anyway... what does it take for people to go (for a lack of better working).. to go FRENCH STYLE and fight bloody government for their bloody rights ???

I dont understand how the majority of people in the country refuse to do anything (about ANYTHING) that effects themselves and their kids and their grandkids.. CAN just sit by and worry about how their bloody broccoli at woolworths costs compared to coles costs

Started a new save in the Cornellverse with a company called Hoosier Pro Wrestling based in Indiana. So far I am a year in and have started a training facility and grown to small.

The inaugural tag team champions were Flash Savage and Ozzie Goldstein “The Canadian Blondes”
Dusty Ducont left USPW and joined us to beat Threepwood for the title but 4 months later was signed to TCW. Threepwood himself has won the Tag titles dethroning the Canadian Blondes with Happy Elwood but has also been signed away by TCW. Leaving me scrambling to crown new tag team.
My top faction is The Devil Grappling Army whos leader is Raymond Diaz. The members include Haley Buck, James Diaz, Austin Smooth and Bullwrecker. Ducont was kicked out for insubordination by Raymond after being lazy and failing to train with Wrecker and Diaz being replaced by Smooth.
At the moment I’ve been pillaged TCW for my top stars but have been able to hold out with Darryl Devine and John Greed still around. I wish more real world mods were more proactive in signing away talent at random times.

Little context, (I Am A WOMAN) I was falsely accused of sexual assault after I came out and told people this person sexually assaulted me fr (I had proof, she didn’t) that didn’t matter most people didn’t believe me despite being known as a person who is too honest my whole life, so I went through hell blah blah u know, but what’s driving me crazy is it’s been almost a year since this happened and she’s now pregnant with her 4th child. She ruined my life both for assaulting me & then blaming me for it, and she’s just out there getting pregnant and all? Real traumatized right. It’s not fair, the anger just won’t stop, I don’t understand how such evil people get away with such evil things, she’s just all over the internet making her lil TikTok videos, posting on Facebook like she’s funny and not secretly a sick lying ass narcissist, having a whole baby, getting away with everything bad she does to people. It makes me sick and I’m tired and I just want revenge!!! :(

Law360 (May 31, 2023, 5:09 PM EDT) -- Christmas Tree Shops got final approval Wednesday from a Delaware bankruptcy judge to take out $45 million in Chapter 11 financing after resolving objections from landlords concerned the retail chain had not budgeted enough cash to pay its rent.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Thomas M. Moran approved the financing after Christmas Tree Shops agreed to set aside enough cash to make a partial payment on the rent its landlords say it owes for May before its Chapter 11 case ends.
Christmas Tree Shops filed for Chapter 11 protection May 5 with about $44.4 million in secured debt, $90 million in unsecured debt and plans to close 10 of its 82 stores and reorganize.
At Wednesday's hearing, the company was seeking final permission to tap into $45 million in debtor-in-possession, or DIP, from Eclipse Business Capital and ReStore Capital, along with approval for procedures for closing the stores and disposing of their inventories.
The motions had brought objections from the unsecured creditors' committee, but counsel for Christmas Tree Shops said it, the committee and the lenders had reached a deal to resolve the objections, which included an increased percentage of certain sale proceeds for the debtor and an increased budget for the committee.
This left objections to the DIP from multiple Christmas Tree Shops landlords, who said the budget in the DIP did not include the approximately $4.7 million in post-bankruptcy "stub" rent they are owed for May. The proposal instead called for the expense to be paid out of the exit financing the company will receive when it leaves Chapter 11, they said.
The landlords argued they were at risk of not getting the payment, saying the debtor has not shown it will be able to pay the "administrative" expenses — such as legal fees, salaries and rent — that it will incur during the bankruptcy.
"We're looking for some assurance of payment. The risk of administrative insolvency shouldn't be entirely on the landlords," said Robert L. LeHane, counsel for the landlords.
Counsel for the debtors and the DIP lenders argued the company does not have the cash to make the May payments without slipping into a liquidation and that the company is seeking to exit bankruptcy within four months.
"This is not a long period to wait," Christmas Tree Shops counsel Harold Murphy said.
The landlords argued that if they don't get a payment guarantee, the DIP order should not include a lender-requested waiver of section 506(c) of the Bankruptcy Code, which says debtors can't be stopped from using collateral for expenses involved in maintaining their assets.
Judge Moran said he would not require the payment of the rent, but that he would also not approve the waiver.
"I'm not going to permit a 506(c) waiver where there's no provision for stub rent," he said.
The hearing adjourned for two hours, and returned with a deal under which the 506(c) waiver will be allowed and the debtor will make weekly payments into an escrow fund sufficient to pay half the stub rent by the projected end of the case.
"It's what we were looking for, some fairness and balancing of the risks," landlord counsel Douglas Rosner said.

My husband and I are expecting our first baby in December. We are self-employed, both work from home and will definitely be taking some time off to be with the baby. I have absolutely no idea yet when we will start needing daycare … we probably will be able to make it work for at least a few more months than most parents, and even then we won’t be needing full time daycare, probably just a few days a week, but with that being said, should I get on a waitlist anyway? How long are he waitlists actually? I don’t know anything about the daycare options around here, any recommendations? Thank you in advance! I know nothing 😬

I've been farming the medals with coop today and I'm last to the last 10 missing for 200 although I don't quite understand something. I barely got them with raids so I threw that out the window. When it came to coop I don't understand if I was just unlucky or higher difficulty gives you higher chance. 5 straight easy games of coop I got none, 5 of extreme I get 2 or 3 depending on luck

We have a lot of plaques at work that need to be hung up. We used to hang them up using velcro strips and a felt backdrop, but the backdrop continues to sag and it just doesn't look good. The wall is stone, so multiple holes drilled in is a no go.
The backdrop we had was one large frame (maybe 10' x 6') that was hung onto the wall using minimum amount of drilling. I'm thinking a similar large frame and mounting the plaques onto that with a wood back..
I'm not sure how to go about hanging the plaques. The setup needs to allow for adjusting and moving the plaqus as needed for new plaques (that's why the velcro worked). Maybe some kind of rail system? The plaque sizes range from 8"x6" to letter size.
We have a maintenance crew who can build and hang whatever we need.
