Here are all of the new US CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in April 2023, according to the Department of Energy. These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:
  1. Tesla drivers who haven't bought the official CCS adapter yet. Certain older Teslas need additional work done to accept the adapter.
  2. Leaf owners like me, and some owners of older cars that also use CHAdeMO. If you drive a Leaf, or an older CHAdeMO car, see my matching post in leaf.
Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
There were 171 CCS charge points added or refreshed in April 2023, which is up from 159 in March. For comparison, there were only 100 new CCS charge points in April 2022. Things are speeding up.
"What about CCS charging at Tesla superchargers?" Tesla is in the process of rolling out their "magic dock" for non-Tesla cars in certain locations. I assume they will start to include this in their reporting to the Alternative Fuels Data Center soon. When they do it should be reflected here.

There were 112 "new" CHAdeMOs added in April. To put it in perspective, there were 171 CCS chargers added in April. I think the pace of CHAdeMO rollout has stabilized, while the pace of CCS rollout is still increasing. This makes sense given that only Nissan still makes a CHAdeMO car.

We all know that CHAdeMO is a legacy format and will eventually go away, but clearly Nissan and their partners are continuing to support it for the time being. This shouldn't be surprising. After all, you can still buy a new Leaf.

Wow.
Just had an irritating interaction and had to vent.
I had an estimated trip for $7.19 including upfront tip to get this hag her Five Guys. Once I arrived, she immediately asked where her “chocolate milkshake” was. I showed her directly on the app she did NOT order any shake. I was very friendly but firm that she didn’t get one. She started causing a scene and said that she ordered it “over the phone” and knew the lady who took her order would mess it up. She proceeds to “call” Five Guys (highly doubt she was) and starts loudly yelling on her phone and demanding to speak to a manager.
I start to walk away and she tells me to stop bc she wants her milkshake. At this point I laugh and continue my way to my car. It is late and this lady is doing a scam similar to ones I’ve seen in this subreddit.
Well lo and behold, this heffer tipped me 1 cent. I am so frustrated in how my time was wasted and I got paid $3 to deal with her lunacy.
I did call Uber support immediately after and they were unhelpful. They were rushing me off the phone and said they would “email her” saying she didn’t order a milkshake. I told support she was a scammer and I didn’t want to get matched with her address again. Apparently accounts department was closed and I’ll have to call back tomorrow for that.
Is there anything more I could’ve done? I conceal carry and so I am much more easy going and try not to escalate with interactions like these.
But I’d be lying if I didn’t say I am pissed about the 1 cent tip to top it all off. Hope she runs out of toilet paper in the middle of the night.

Here are all of the new US CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in March 2023, according to the Department of Energy. These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:
  1. Tesla drivers who haven't bought the official CCS adapter yet. Certain older Teslas need additional work done to accept the adapter.
  2. Leaf owners like me, and some owners of older cars that also use CHADeMO. If you drive a Leaf, or an older CHADeMO car, see my matching post in leaf.
There were 158 CCS charge points added in March 2023. That's a slowdown from 192 in February, but still much better than just 87 in March of last year.

Here are all of the new US CHADeMO (Leaf fast-charging) stations that rolled out in March 2023, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
There were 117 new CHADeMOs added in March. To put it in perspective, there were 158 CCS chargers added in March. Speaking as a Leaf owner, since only Nissan makes new cars that use CHADeMO, overall I'm still pleased that new CHADeMOs are becoming available. 117 is still much better than the 67 new chargepoints that came online in March 2022. That's right — CHADeMO rollout has actually sped up in the past year.
We all know that CHADeMO is a legacy format and will eventually go away, but clearly Nissan and their partners are continuing to support it for the time being. This shouldn't be surprising. After all, you can still buy a new Leaf.
The federal infrastructure plan requires those seeking funds to build new charging stations to build four CCS chargepoints first, but also permits CHADeMO to be funded once that threshold is met. I don't see why EVgo wouldn't continue to take advantage of that, for now.

Las Brujas Chicanas is a son jarocho music collective of students, faculty, and community members emerging from the UNM Dept. of Chicana and Chicano Studies. Since 2016, Las Brujas have been cultivating this music through workshops and fandangos on campus and -- since 2022 -- master musician Laura Rebolloso has been teaching the group. In June 2023, the collective will be performing in Paris, France, and this concert is a way for them to share what they are working on. Title, my package took like a day to arrive in the US from China and yet I've been wondering what's going on in Georgia?? I'm not even sure who's delivering this anymore because it mentions two third party companies, Fast Track & ACI.

My shipping option from the seller says it should be about 7 to 15 days, and today's about day 12 of it being in the US. It's just one state away from me, so I feel really confused. I'm not sure what to do, who to contact between the seller, USPS, and the two other companies or if I should just wait out the full 15 days or so. Thank you for reading this,

Here are all of the new US CHADeMO (Leaf fast-charging) stations that rolled out in February 2023, according to the Department of Energy.
There were 106 new CHADeMOs added in February. To put it in perspective, there were 194 CCS chargers added in January. Yes, the gap is definitely widening. But speaking as a Leaf owner, since only Nissan makes new cars that use CHADeMO, overall I'm still pleased that new CHADeMOs are becoming available. 106 is still significantly better than the 74 new chargepoints that came online in February 2022.
We all know that CHADeMO is a legacy format and will eventually go away, but clearly Nissan and their partners are continuing to support it for the time being. This shouldn't be surprising. After all, while the CCS-charged Ariya may finally be available without a waiting list, you can still buy a new Leaf.
The federal infrastructure plan requires those seeking funds to build new charging stations to build four CCS chargepoints first, but also permits CHADeMO to be funded once that threshold is met. I don't see why EVgo wouldn't continue to take advantage of that, for now, especially since baking Tesla's CHADeMO adapter into their stations is currently part of their strategy to support Tesla vehicles without the need for the Tesla driver to buy an adapter. This will become less of a factor as more Tesla owners buy the Tesla CCS adapter.
