Hey all, another question- a few really. Buckle up, this one is gonna be big.
So, to clarify some prior posts, I work in a level 18 office in SoCal (not clarifying further for plausible deniability anonymity reasons). Four routes, three PTF clerks (FTF position in arbritration), and a LOT of problems. Those being, we only have two RCA's, one is on medical and fighting labor to even get treatment while the other is 6-days acting regular on an overburdened (~49hweek K route + DACA-5 every week) route.
So, a good few things: I was an RCA before, and thus have the training to run routes. I've done so for our Auxi before, and have not been appropriately paid for the mileage- but am not sure if it's viable for eTravel as it's personal vehicle delivery. At this point, I'm wondering if I'm even allowed to deliver routes, not just express- I've not gotten a straight answer when asking more directly.
My Postmaster is currently out on medical, he had a massive surgery and has been out for a good few months as is. We had an OIC come from, way away, and was doing genuinely fantastic work and fixing things that were long standing issues. Unfortunately, HIS home office practically imploded for something only a month in, his MPOO pulled him back to his district, to my knowledge. As a result- it's just us clerks, and the occasional nearby postmaster coming in for reports we don't have access too. We're doing CSAW, DCV, DMS, things that I'm fairly sure we're good to do, but some other ones- Scheduling, even giving instructions (instructing to pass instruction to carriers or other employees), feels like it's way sketch.
Yesterday we had a full route vacant due to callout- I called eight neighboring offices near and far, but with Saturday being a popular K-Day, there's jack squat available to come and cover. I'm there at like 2:30 AM on another postmaster's suggestion due to having a heavy and unexpected late UPS/Amazon drop, and it's enough it'll impact carrier time if trying to do my normal arrival times. (Note: All other clerks are otherwise indisposed on saturdays, I fly a solo ship and was told there MAY be relief later in the day if a nearby clerk in a single HWY route office gets done.) So, crap's hitting the fan, there's a whole route just fusterclucked, another one with a fairly fresh RCA that's gonna get in past 1800 as is. Eventually, I pull a big trigger- I contact District on another Postmaster's reccomendation (unsure why they didn't do it themselves, since I'm a PTF clerk...). I've never seen both my personal phone and hotline blow up so fast. Every postmaster nearby I had contacted is wondering what is going on- mind you most of them were told the details of my MIA route risking full failure to deliver- and others from farther offices immediately offering help later in the afternoon if I'm willing to case the mail (which, at this point to avoid being in a HUGE hot seat I am willing to do.) I'm already catching huge professional but passive flak from my Boss, but he's on medical, frankly should be resting- as well as the fact that he's not even hooked to the office in terms of accountability right now. The long-gone OIC is. I have postmasters telling me I made the right gut call- it was either being on the radar for requesting Aid on a level over what I usually have to (but with my hands otherwise tied), or get in trouble in one of three ways: Go into major OT (14 hr+ knowing my time on that route) and leave a lot of mail undelivered in PO Box, and fail integrity for all the PO box parcels and see if the RCA can help and get us both less overtime with the same PO box issues, or say 'not my problem' and end up on a big red flag list for failure to deliver- with me being the one that made the call to just not deal with it. Rock, meet hard place, meet blast explosives. It's already causing major friction with coworkers who hate being on anyone's radar, let alone district level management- fair enough.
How much of this am I realistically even supposed to be doing? I'm not getting paid OIC/EAS17-18 rates (technically no supervisor position here) rates, I have access to some head clerk tools and such, but by no means any supervisor, timekeeping or leave input, any of that. I just make the schedule, cover a vacant route with other RCA's as I can, and dangit if I don't do it WELL too, this being the first major issue, though one I was dreading to come inevitably given staffing issues.
What doesn't help either is that our steward is very much barely doing anything, and the actual rep is radio silent on myself and other clerks, same for the Rural rep. Glad I didn't join either of those, thank god.
Guess my questions are really: How much of this should I not be touching with a 0.5 mile delivery range pole? What calls am I on the hook for, given that I've only been verbally told what things to do, and that I'm a kinda, a standing scheduler? Was my call way too overboard, or was making sure it got done while doing a proper CYA with the call/communication a good call? Any other input would be, greatly appreciated. I just find myself anxious as hell about what's going on above my head, while still performing these duties.
Semi-related: I've also been informed though, that if I want to be put at a nearby city office to train back end OIC/Sup, I may well be offered it considering what I've been doing came to light in a big way today. Yay? Thank y'all for reading, and thanks ahead for any input. Ask any questions, I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Been awhile since I have posted here. Cliff note version of my trauma(s). Dad killed mom when I was 1 year. 18 years of childhood hell. Fixed myself. Had a daughter with congenital heart condition and after massive effort to help her make it, I watched her die at age 3. Then 11 years of copious drinking to cope, only to die at the bottom of a pool drunk. 3 days my family was told I was brain dead, but I woke. Now, I'm here. 4 years sober and free from my past. I am "cured". Let me explain what cured means. I am not triggered my memories of my past. I just get triggered like everyone else does. Life triggers normies too. But, my past no longer comes flooding back. I continue to have a very sensitive limbic system. When life triggers me, my adrenaline response is much higher than a normie, but the difference between now and then, is my brain and body no longer fears it because my primitive brain doesn't believe that my trauma(s) are happening all over again.
How did I accomplish this?
For starters, I don't abuse substances. Period. Nothing will ever change is you are abusing drugs or alcohol. That must stop before the real work begins.
What do you mean by "real work"?
I mean, you gotta do the opposite of what you are doing now. Most of you when triggered do whatever you possibly can to shut that shit down. You bury it or you cover it up with substances. You don't let it wash over you and let it dissipate on its own accord. Why? Because who wants to feel those feelings or think those associated thoughts? Sorry to inform, but you must.
Why?
Simple. It's literally how your brain is wired. It's your primitive brain (amygdala) versus your thinking brain (prefrontal cortex). The pathways from the primitive brain to your thinking brain are super highways, but only back channels, side streets, and alley ways in reverse.
What does that mean?
When you are triggered, you cannot tell your primitive brain to chill out. You can't tell it that the trauma was actually 10 years ago and it's not happening right now. All it knows is it's triggered and freaks out in an effort to "save you".
How does this explain my intense reaction 10 years later?
Because you have a memory. You remember the trauma, your primitive brain freaks out because your adrenaline surges. But its One way communication. It's the same reason a herd of gazelle can watch one of their brothers be mauled by lion and 5 minutes later go back to munching grass like nothing ever happened. There is no thinking brain. Just a primitive brain. Gazelles don't get PTSD.
So what's the fix?
It begins Life Style Changes and pre-workout. It's is best to do all of the following under guidance of a licensed counselor especially trained in trauma informed care and CBT, but you can DIY. I did.
1.Stop drinking and using drugs. That's number 1. For obvious reasons, but you also can't be numbing yourself if you are going to train your primitive brain over time that the trauma is actually in the past. Think of it as downloading information. Those side street communication pathways are like 32k dial up internet speed. It'll take time.

1. Learn Copings skills to manage anxiety etc. And most importantly is to learn how to assertively care for yourself.

What does that mean?
It means you are #1. You come first and you carve out time each day engaging in things you enjoy, interest you and/ or pleasurable. You gotta develop these things. You also need to learn the 10 assertive rights of an individual as well as boundaries.
Now what? You do the work. This means dedicating whatever time you can handle each day processing your trauma. (Every single day). Maybe it's just 5 minutes maybe it's 30. The point being you try. The time will increase overtime. Thos could be a counseling session but doing this once a week in counsing is never enough and it will take you forever. You coudd spend time journaling your story. Coming to this site to read other peoples stories. Or maybe it's just think about the trauma. It's a conscience effort to do it but you are in control. Not your stupid primitive brain freaking out and forcing you to relive it.
For how long?
For just short of what you can handle. Could be 5 minute. Could be 1 hour, but no more than 1 hour. And while doing it, you engage in coping skills that you can also do at the same time: squeezing a stress ball, listening to relaxing music. Shit that helps you to stay grounded and present.
Then what?
This is the most important part. You have processed and now you are triggered. At the end of your time. 5 minutes to one hour sitting in the shit. You must immediately engage in a favorite assertive self care activity for a hour or at least until the adrenaline dissipates and you return to a baseline.
For me. And really anytime I feel really triggered.. because I still get adrenaline surges.. I kill shit on Xbox. So effective for me. You just have to find your things. Maybe it's crafting, waking and listening to music, watching a favorite show, cooking, video games, exercise etc.
What results can I expect?
Overtime you will increase the time you are able to spend time with your trauma and decrease the time it takes level off and return to baseline. You will slowly teach your primitive brain that the trauma is in the past and you no longer need to fear those feelings. You are safe.
You also you find yourself with a much more fulfilling life as you will constantly be assertively caring for yourself.
This IS NOT EZ. It is hard. You are literally doing what we should all have done when the trauma happened. But, you will see results faster than you think. If you are committed and do the work, you could see noticeable results in a few months or less. Probably less.
It's a new way of living. And it only continues to get better.
Lastly, I will repeat that although I DIYed this, I don't recommend. It is best to do this work under guidance of a therapist and especially to help you develop the skills necessary to do the real work.

I’m kind of just concerned at this point. I’ve been nannying for a new family for a few weeks now. The children show a total absence of discipline and a complete lack of empathy likely due to the poor communication on the fathers part (he has told me repeatedly to threaten or bribe them, and from what I see at home he usually just screams at them or insults them and and says stuff like what’s wrong with you). I’m at my wits end these kids are so sweet, but they are absolutely wild I’m talking biting and breaking skin 30+ times a day (I’m sincerely not exaggerating). On top of this they smack people in the face and kick them as well as scream or throw things at them. They sometimes even just do this to get in a good laugh. The father has told me he does not discipline the children when me and the other nanny are not there. On top of this these children are sleep deprived. He does not allow nap time and in fact pulls them out of preschool, so they miss nap time. They get 10 hours of sleep a day at ages two and three. When they should be averaging closer to 16. I try my best to work around the damage the father is doing, but one college aged nanny can only do so much. I guess I’m just looking for tips on how to start from scratch with discipline because he has absolutely no set standards, and I have tried everything from gentle talks and time out talks to removing them from play areas or leaving places where they bite people, but with new Nannie’s coming in and out due to the severity and intensity of the job, the kids don’t respect us and see us as temporary fixtures in their life that are just going to eventually leave them so why not push their nanny’s buttons and push them away before they can get close and get hurt. However, being the first nanny that’s stuck around longer than three weeks in the past six months has led the youngest child to become very attached to me, and because he has never met and does not have contact with his mother, alongside with me nannying him at family events where it’s just me the dad and close family, he now thinks I’m his mom. He has recently taken to pushing away the other Nannie’s, screaming I want mommy and running toward me. When I tried calling him mommy to make it seem like a joke he said I’m not mommy you’re my mommy and I said no sweetie I’m xxxxx your nanny! And he got extremely upset, then later that night the other nanny tried to put him down and he screamed for mommy AGAIN and he came downstairs to me and his dad and only hugged me goodnight ignoring his father completely (HUGE RED FLAG IMO) and refused to let anyone besides me put him down. How do I teach this little boy that I’m the nanny and not his mommy when I wake him up feed him take him out and about all day and put him to bed? I keep trying to reference myself as nanny insertmynamehere, but he still calls me mommy, so I’m not sure how to explain to him in a simple way that I’m not mommy. I wouldn’t be as concerned if there was a mother in the picture because it would just likely be an instance of associating the word with someone he loves or if he called other important women in his life mommy but he only knows mommies from books or kids shows, and he only recently started calling me mommy after I became consistent with the job. Please someone help or offer advice. My heart is breaking for these poor children.

Goal 1: Use the custom ILM policy I created for index and index template created using filebeat.
I have ESXi and Firewall logs coming in, monitored by Filebeat's TCP and UDP input. We have 2 ILM policy, ESXi - 30 Days and Firewall - 60 Days retention. Right now filebeat creates the index template automatically with Setup.Template section.
Would it be possible to point filebeat to the custom ILM policy or will I have to create the index template manually and assign the ILM policy?
Goal 2: Set all the index to use best_compression. Could this be done on cluster level, unless overwritten on the index template level? Like in elasticsearch.yml file.

I've been looking at this P320 for a year and a half. Local gun shop had it used and advertised it as an auction gun for a charity. I had inquired about purchasing it straight out, but the best price I got was close to $2,200. The gun disappeared from the case for 6 months or so, and I thought it had been purchased. To my surprise it was put back in the case for sale for $1,200! (witout optic)
It ran fine loading 10 and 15 rounds at a time. I experimented with different weight recoil springs. I learned with 12 lb spring it spit rounds out to the right like normal, but had one FTF like it didn't have enough juice to pushe the slide back into battery.
I went to the 14 lb spring and it dropped casing s onto the shooting table but overall ran ok.
I tried the 15 lb spring and it actually ejected forward and to the left....weird huh?
At this point I loaded up a full 21 rounds with one in the pipe. Well, with all that lead pushing on the stripper rail, I had a failure to feed. Cleared it, and shot again, and the slide didn't go back far enough to strip a round. Looked at the slide and realized it was bone dry. I lubed it and the barrel and tried again. I topped up the mag and it rand flawless. Ejection was not to 3-4 O'Clock though.
I dropped to the 14 lb sprig and it ran flawless. I tried the 12 lb spring and it was also flawless. I switched back and forth to see how much the dot moved and settled on the 12 lb spring for 115 gr fmj's. I'll try it again for 124 gr bullets. I ran 5 mags (110 rounds) rapid fire at HK training shapes at 10 yards with zero malfunctions.
My take away is the Trinity Nevada PihRo slide for the P320 is very promising. I've not seen the machining or reliability issues others have seen.

Background:
The Maryland Port Authority has to constantly dredge the Baltimore Harbor, shipping terminals, and shipping channels to keep them open. Much of the dredge removed from the Baltimore harbor and Patapsco River near old industrial sites is contaminated with heavy metals, oils, and other toxic "forever" chemicals. The Maryland Port Authority (MPA) has to dry and store this dredged material in special "containment sites" because it is unsafe for human exposure. (See https://maryland-dmmp.com/). Before the 1970s, this material was often dumped back into the Chesapeake Bay. After ecological awareness arose in the 1970s and dumping was regulated, MPA was forced to create diked land-based dredge containment facilities to dry and store dredged material.
These sites, once created, are forever contaminated. MPA has done its best to create these sites where they make the least impact - often in already-contaminated abandoned industrial areas. MPA also creates conservation areas to make amends for the harm, makes clean dredge available for shoreline restorations and construction projects, makes contaminated dredge available for re-use research, and in some cases recreates islands lost to erosion (Hart-Miller Island, Poplar Island, and James and Barren Islands) using dredged material.
After significant pushback from communities near Hart-Miller Island for decades and years of litigation, MPA shut down the Hart-Miller dredge containment facility before its completion and shifted their attention to creating dredge containment sites near Baltimore in already-contaminated industrial areas next to Fort Armistead (Cox Creek DMCF) in Anne Arundel County and in Masonville next to Brooklyn. Ongoing dredging activities and plans to fill these sites to heights of 60 feet or higher with contaminated dredge and their runoff are already a significant concern for the quality of the water and the aquatic life in the Patapsco and its tidal tributaries. A potentially even greater concern is that because MPA is running out of land-based locations to contain contaminated dredge, it now plans to create Confined Aquatic Dredge (CAD) sites in the seabed of the Patapsco River to essentially bury contaminated dredge underwater in the sea floor. The first MPA full scale CAD site is planned to be built one mile off the shore of the communities of Stoney Beach and Riviera Beach near the entrance to Stoney Creek.
The planned Patapsco CAD site will be up to 220 acres in size. MPA plans to remove clean seabed material from the site for several months and make it available to construction companies and for shoreline restoration efforts and then replace it with contaminated dredge material for several more months sometime in the next year. MPA asserts that unlike historic dredge dumping, this CAD site will be "capped" and "safe". However, there will inevitably be a significant release of contaminants and turbidity into the Patapsco from this activity and permanent impact within and near the CAD site. Contaminated dredge material suspended in water can't be totally contained. Moreover, long-term ecological impacts from leaching and seabed shifting can't be predicted.
Concerns:
Northern Anne Arundel communities near the planned CAD site are very concerned about several potential issues related to its creation:

1. The noise from planned 24/7 dredging for several months at a time as well as spotlighting at night since this will be over a mile closer to Stoney Beach and Riviera Beach than the shipping channel.
   
2. The safety of residents in nearby waters to swim, fish, and engage in watersports on the Patapsco and in Stoney Creek, Cox Creek, and downstream tributaries during and after dredging from exposure to chemical and biological toxins released into the water.
   
3. The impact of such dredging on aquatic life and ecosystems including waterfowl that depend on it.
   
4. The long-term ecological impact on the CAD site, nearby shorelines, and the tidal waters around it.
   
5. The potential short and long-term geographical extent of ecological and human exposure to released toxins given unpredictable winds, currents, storms, tidal swings, and sea level rise.
   

We have questions related to these concerns and would like a greater understanding of how impacts will be measured and mitigated and what the potential risks to our communities might be - including being exposed to chemical and biological toxins. Of particular concern if this program moves forward is how will toxins be measured, where will they be measured, how will communities be notified if toxins in the water around their shoreline reaches harmful levels, and what might the long-term effects of such toxins be that might settle around our shorelines?
While we are concerned, we also appreciate that MPA is creating conservation sites such as the Swan Creek Wetlands next to the Cox Creek facility and making clean dredge material available at little or no cost to communities engaged in shoreline restoration efforts - including Stoney Beach which is planning an important natural shoreline project to protect a highly eroded natural area at our point where the Patapsco meets Stoney Creek. This greatly reduces the cost of shoreline restoration.

So after like 500 hours of playing Minecraft I've finally worked up the nerve to go to The End. I don't look up basically any stuff online so even though I know through osmosis that there is a dragon and how to find the portal, I don't know what I will find there or what treasure may abound.
Anyway the only thing for which I want is more diamonds for armor, because I was too lazy to get a fortune pickaxe before mining my first big diamond haul. So now I'm on the fence between more diamond-hunting and just attempting it with my current-best massively ovërenchanted diamond sword. Except I really don't want my equipment to get lost if I might have just put a little more time into better armor.
Anyway yeah this run has been my best yet, just finally started using chests to store all the crafting tables instead of throwing them in the river, doesn't cost nearly as much resources as time on balance, and even if I did wipe out I doubt if I should abandon it.
But yeah, at this point I'm open to suggestions as to recommended End kit. Much obliged.

Now I just want to start with saying I know majority of the people say the manga is top tier. But man the anime gets way too much hate even down to people saying the entire anime is trash and subpar. In me eyes it isn’t it’s the greatest anime. Best piece of fiction in this world.
I’ve never felt so much emotion watching an anime before. I’ve never felt so much hype watching fights before. I’ve never felt so much awe watching world building before. I’ve never fell in love with characters before like I have in one piece. I’ve never loved the interactions between characters like I have when I watch once piece.
I understand the pacing is bad sometimes post timeskip. Dressrosa was long I get it fishman island was kinda ass I get it wano pacing right now is kinda bad I get it. The animation can be flashy I get it. But to say the anime is trash because of this is insane to me.
I was so hooked watching one piece I was watching 20 episodes maybe more a day I watched the entirety of one piece in just a couple months because it was just so addicting. And I read the manga after and I just don’t understand and never will how people say the anime is trash I will never understand how they call it even average. One piece killed everything else for me a little because it was just that damn amazing.
Watching this anime was one of the best experiences of my life. The manga is amazing don’t get me wrong but watching the anime is just a different kind of joy.

Listen, I know many are upset with aspects of the game. I understand that many guardians didn’t care for the LF campaign, or had problems with the Season of Defiance, and more recently, many have expressed displeasure with the lack of new armor. I can see where everyone is coming from with these complaints (except the armor one; I’m never taking the Taken King sets off ever again), but these pertinent points aren’t what boil my blood. It’s what they’ve done with the Good Boy Protocol that annoys the hell out of me.
I have some major issues with how they’ve brought back the exo doggo. Firstly, while I understand that as an exo and the pup probably doesn’t experience pain the same as non-exo dogs, I absolutely hate the single shitty rug/blanket that they’ve given him for a bed. The Tower is an elevated place and probably has cooler temps, and since much of it is made from steel, concrete and other hard/sturdy materials, I assume that the tiny rug he has doesn’t provide any real cushioning or warmth. With all the hunter capes we dismantle, I just wish we could donate them to make a much comfier place for our robotic friend.
This brings me to my next point: why must he be all by himself in the basement? The dude just seems so happy when guardians pass by and pet him, and I can’t help but feel bad with his isolation. After all, when we find him, he’s tucked way down in the Seraph orbital station, and now that he’s rescued, he now lives in our basement. Somehow just doesn’t seem like that much of an improvement.
A possible solution: Ideally, I’d like to see him and Ada-1 bond and get closer. She could use her synthweaving abilities to build him a killer set-up and since both of them have significant periods of isolation in their pasts, I feel like it would be fitting for them to find value in each other as permanent companions.

I want a genuine friendship with my former friend with benefits. We casually saw each other for 4 months and I decided to drop the "B" off of our FWB arrangement recently. I told him I'd like to have a friendship that doesn't fade and he responded, "Okay but I can't promise that it won't fade because I have a hard time forming a meaningful connection." I ended the casual partnership because it isn't for me and I caught feelings for him (I'm a hopeless romantic). We won't be compatible in a serious relationship so I don't see the point of mentioning my romantic feelings. He told me he's emotionally unavailable and does not want a relationship because it's not a priority for him.
I know that staying as friends with your romantic interest is a bad idea but I truly want to be good friends with him. I think for me to do that I need to take some time away from him until we can have true friendship with no hidden intention. I'm not keeping him around as an option or have this hope that he'll "come around". I wanna have him in my life because his lifestyle is different to mine and he has a different take on things. I've always surrounded myself with likeminded people and I think it would benefit me to be open to being friends with different types of people.
Here's my problem:
Although he agreed to be friends, something tells me that he doesn't want to get to know me as a person. I can tell when someone wants to be friends with me when they ask me questions to get to know me better; he doesn't do that. I have brought it up before and he said, "I don't have burning questions for you. I'll just get to know you along the way." Our conversation never really had a good flow. It always seemed like he wanted the topic to be centered around him. I'm a curious person so I always have questions; he loves answering them and talking about himself. However, he rarely returned the question. When there's silence, I feel the need to fill it with follow up questions. When I do talk about myself and tell my stories, he just nods and doesn't ask questions. He rarely reacts or have any input. It makes me feel like I'm boring him...

Am I forcing a friendship here? Would you be friends with a person like this? Is it a good idea to pursue a genuine friendship with him? If cutting ties is the best solution, how do I let someone go without feeling down?

Disclaimer: I'm just some guy, who just got off work, is smoking a doobie, and trying to contemplate the future of web3. (i.e., I don't know shit about fuck). I just wanted to share some thoughts and engage in light discussion. If I'm completely wrong here, whatever.
Many people, including myself have mixed feelings towards coins and tokens with unlimited max supplies. But I've been thinking lately that maybe an unlimited supply of Atom is not such a bad thing from a certain point of view. This perspective focuses more on the long term utility of the network as opposed to strictly price action.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the security of the Cosmos network is proportional to the amount of Atom staked. The more atom staked, the more secure the network. New Atom are minted during the validation of new blocks, some are sold to pay the bills, and some is compounded increasing the amount of Atom staked. Atom sold also equates to atom bought, and I imagine most retail investors like ourselves are going to stake the purchased atom (thereby slowly but surely increasing the security of the network over time, yes?).
Repeat this process for years, even a decade or more. Yes, many more Atom were minted thereby increasing the supply, but there is also a steady increase in the amount of Atom staked. Therefore the security of the network is in a constant state of increasing security. Why is this possibly an amazing consequence of an unlimited supply of Atom? Let's say the percentage of Atom staked remains largely constant over time (say like 60-70%) for arguments sake. Now lets do a little limit calculus and maybe some "infinity math".
The security of the network in the limit of an infinite supply of Atom (assuming the above assumptions hold) is going to tend to infinity as well. 60% of infinity is basically infinity, yes?
It stands to reason then, that Atom is working just as intended. We are constantly tending towards a network of greater security. We (Cosmos) are literally selling this idea in the form of replicated security to other chains. When chains come aboard and purchase this security from us, we will get paid in their native token as staking rewards in addition to more Atom.
Looking at it from this perspective, the price action of Atom is seemingly irrelevant. The idea for investors is to stack and stake as much Atom as possible to reap higher rewards from these other chains buying our replicated security. Fast forward a decade and imagine how many new (and solid) chains are going to join the IBC and opt into replicated security. Before we know it, we will be paid in countless tokens which will have their own price action and moon potential. So we can forget about selling the Atom rewards; just compound it so we increase the security and get higher rewards in other tokens. Then just trade those tokens and take profit. It's a beautiful circle.
From this point of view, it's almost in the best interest of Atom holders for the price to remain largely constant over time (i.e., Atom doesn't moon so we can accumulate more easily, add to the security of the network, making replicated security even more desirable, thus reaping more rewards from an ever-expanding network).

I felt some pretty severe embarrassment as my stomach growled in front of Tailhitch and alkia, but I couldn’t help it. I hadn’t eaten since before I had met Tailhitch and he, presumably, accidentally nicked my ear when he shot the arxur that was going to take me, I supposed I couldn’t really complain about losing a small part of my right ear compared to losing my freedom and life.
Said robot sighed and opened the door for alkia to crawl out, surprisingly quickly might I add, which made me wonder what had her so flustered? I crawled out after her and untied her hands. She avoided looking at me as I did so and her cheeks were a deep shade of blue, odd.
Once we were a few feet away Tailhitch transformed from the human vehicle to his tall boxy robot form. It had only just occurred to me how little roundness there was to him. The only round parts I could see were the tires on his elbows and knees and the one on the weird flapping part around his waist and hips, as well as the tip of his antenna. Not even his eyes were round but rather they were octagonal.
Despite the trust I felt towards him it still freaked me out a bit every time I saw him do it. Maybe it was the inherent strangeness of watching a vehicle become something that walked, maybe it was the noise that accompanied the transformation, I didn’t know. But Alkia's wide eyed expression was absolutely hilarious and I nearly burst out laughing. Was that how I had looked? Great protector I was glad Tailhitch had been the only one to see it.
Tailhitch closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his mask before looking at us again. “Alright I forgot that since you guys are organic, you need to eat. So, what do you eat exactly? And where can we hopefully find some?”
Looking outside from our hiding spot I saw a grocery store that I had visited several times in the past. Pointing at it I spoke up “I think that store over there might have some stuff we can eat.”
Moving surprisingly quietly for something of his size Tailhitch made his way over to me and looked at the store for a few seconds before nodding. “Alright you two go in there and grab as much as you can, be quick and be quiet about it. I’ll keep watch like I did with the map. Alkia I am going to trust you and let you have your flamethrower back ok?” She nodded as the top part of his chest opened by folding down. While he was reaching into his chest to grab her flamethrower I saw a strange symbol shaped like a face.
“Hey Tailhitch what’s that symbol mean?” I pointed up at it and tilted my head a bit. His head turned to me before he spoke “Oh this? This is the autobot insignia, all autobots have it somewhere on their body. The Decepticons have their own insignia as well that they have on their bodies in case you were wondering.”
He closed the top part of his chest and gave it a few pats as alkia put her flamethrower on. With that we snuck out of our hiding spot and dashed to the nearby building. Soon after Tailhitch followed behind, continuing to remain amazingly quiet for his size.
Not that being quiet would do him much good considering he was 17 feet tall and was blue black and grey with faintly glowing eyes the same shade of orange as venlil blood. As alkia and I made our way inside the building I heard his arm transform. It was a small difference but I could tell when it was his arms changing and when it was his whole body. His arms transforming produced a higher pitched noise and it was a bit shorter compared to the vehicle to walking form transformation.
I smiled when I heard it. Those sounds his body made during transformations gave me a sense of comfort despite how alien they sounded. To me they meant that I had a large powerful guardian watching my back.
While we rooted around for some food I looked over at alkia who seemed to be doing her best to not look at me. The silence was getting to me so I decided to try and break a bit of the tension between us and cleared my throat.
“So uh alkia” she jumped a little bit and looked over at me as she put a tuber in a basket she had found. Protector what was with her? “What uh, what do you think of Tailhitch now? Still think he’s a big scary untrustworthy monster?”
This made her shake her head a bit and her shoulders seemed to sag as though she was tensed up and nervous but all the tension was suddenly released, “honestly crejic? I’m not sure what to think of him. Every instinct I have tells me to run or try and burn him, but…after what we heard last night? I just feel bad for him and I’m still trying to wrap my head around how he can still function as well as he is. He mentioned getting therapy but…would electric shocks even work on something like him?”
The mention of electricity made me quirk an eyebrow at her “considering how harshly he reacted to the idea of predator disease and his disdain for exterminators, I’m wondering if he has a different idea of what therapy entails”
Alkia tilted her head confused “How did he react?”
I snorted as I tossed a ruined fruit to the side “with extreme disdain and disgust. According to him, predator disease isn’t real and is just a way to get rid of quote-unquote problematic people who the government might not like. As for exterminators? He thinks the job is horrible and stupid and shouldn’t exist, he wasn’t exactly fond of you when we first found you burning an arxur to death.”
She looked away seemingly ashamed. “Oh..well maybe we should ask him about his therapy when we go back outside” I nodded in affirmation at this and looked at the basket of food I had gathered from around the destroyed store.

ABOUT US
Welcome to CloudCraft! We are a smaller whitelisted SMP focused on a vanilla multiplayer experience, and we are looking for a few more people to join us for our 1.20 reset on Saturday, June 10.
Our server takes some inspiration from HermitCraft and other similar SMPS. Some of our community aspects include a spawn island town (includes starter houses, town hall, shops, etc.), community farms, nether hub, arcade with games, dragon fight event, and more. See below for some images of our past servers. In the past our server has been annually reset for the latest update, followed by 4-6 months of regular server activity (server will stay up the rest of the year until the next reset).

We will also be using the simple voice chat fabric mod which simply adds proximity chat on the server. Any other fabric mod used is for server performance only and the experience is still a vanilla SMP.

- PVP is allowed only if the other player or players agrees to fight.
