 | Not a place for Volunteers The park itself for a stroll and visit is lovely. They have few staff members and many volunteers, wanting to expand the amount of volunteers. BUT do not volunteer there. Many other volunteers also have not been inducted,and after I raised issues, they quickly did a “mass-induction” letting everyone sign on the same day. Ad volunteers have no legal right to sue companies for discrimination, like paid employees have via Tribunal, they get rid of anyone inconvenient while the staff mess up, discriminate etc. They had health and safety issues which I raised in writings a I almost got injured, had food poisoning etc. The place was a mess, but since then they asked for an EHO to check and received 5 stars. The 2 staff members in the greenhouse area did not do their jobs, resulting in me raising further issues and the leadership, trustees and staff accusing me of violating policy. But as I didn't know the policy they had to change direction to try and get rid of me. I raised a grievance according to their policy which is mixed up for paid staff and volunteers. And as they have a new Development Manager who worked in HR< they held a dodgy HR meeting where she tried throw me off course, hardly letting me speak. If you have mental and/or physical health issues, do NOT volunteer there. They want to increase the volunteers to 50 people after the longtime Director retired. After I raised all the health and safety issues, they raised the standard, claim the credit and try to get rid of me. The place is toxic and not the shiny workplace they portray to the public. If you want to work there as a staff member, you will be fine, but NOT as a volunteer. |

It was written by Andre Harris and Marsha Ambrosius, who is one half of the London bred neo-soul act Floetry. Michael first met Ambrosius and Natalie Stewart, who is also a member of Floetry, through John McClain, who was DreamWorks's senior urban executive and Jackson's manager.
Stewart said she was surprised that Jackson invited her and Ambrosius to a studio and asked for their input on the recording of the track. She recalled in an interview with LAUNCH magazine:
Butterflies" is a mid-tempo love ballad that received generally positive reviews from music critics. Vaughn Watson of the Providence Journal noted that the track is a "velvety old-school soul ballad" with "elegiac horn riffs" and "simple '70s-style David Ruffin soul."Stephen Thomas Erlewine, a writer for AllMusic noted that "Butterflies" had "Bacharach-styled horns."Lonell Broadnax, Jr., a contributing writer to the Daily Helmsman Online felt that "Butterflies" is a soulful song which takes Jackson back to his "rhythm and blues roots". I feel low-key guilty for being happy about being laid off. Everyone in my office is crying or super emotional about it, sharing pictures and messages on social media. But... I feel relieved and in a sense I couldn't care less. I am an immigrant worker and I was not treated right at this workplace for several years (not because of me being an immigrant worker, but because they're assholes). I started working here in my early 20s with tons of hope and illusions. I worked extra hard and poured my all into it. I had abusive bosses and it was common for me to be yelled at in front of everyone. I still haven't gotten over that abuse. Things are better now, but I was screwed over big time by this company. I was promised a promotion and a green card and I got neither. I also had very toxic coworkers who looked for ways to sabotage me anytime. Anyways, the thing is that my boss is crying and everyone is so emotional about it. I really wouldn't care less. I have been working here for so long because they promised me my green card and I have been dreaming for years to leave this place. I know it's horrible to feel this way because a job is a job, but I am happy to finally get proper rest and to be able to move on with my life. By the way, if anyone is curious, my employer is written about a lot in the Star Tribune.
